  1. If you unlock Sith pureblood via legacy, you seem to get treated as a Human with zero mentions of being an Alien. Although I only finished Tython as a Consular and started Belsavis as an Agent (Sith purebloods). I actually found it very odd... I would imagine a Sith pureblood not being force sensitive would be a talking point... and a Sith training to be a Jedi of any type would be a huge noticable thing.
  2. All bosses can be skipped, period. That last general, you can run up the ramps and lose agro, then talk to the scientist. Quite sad indeed. Also... Maelstrom is way longer and more bosses than Foundry, it's just that HK-47 is Way over powered compared to the bosses that reside on the Maelstrom prison. At least, that's how I've experienced it. Flashpoints should require you to clear 60% or more to get the "completed" daily bonus... if you go in for one boss, you've gone in for the loot... if you want the daily reward, you do the work.
  3. Wow, get over yourself... Class and Advanced class are two *different* things. The Class isn't what the OP wants changed (plus he stated a charge of real currency if they did implement it)... it's the Advanced Class you pick at level 10 - which is different. Having played on a few servers, having to start over for various reasons - mainly due to bad decisions and lack of ability to change or customise my characters in anyway... I'd rather just start on a new server altogether than delete something I've ground up. I know, for a fact, I would be far far happier if I could change my Marauder, for example, to a Juggernaught... I'd want to play them way more often... the credit costs for gear and skills alike, I'll just have to accept them. The ability to change race, I'm not sure that could work... most games hard-code Gender and race to the character ID, making it impossible (although, they never explain why) to change those aspects of the character.
  4. I'm not going to go 1/2. I'm going straight to what needs to be done, the changes in 1.3 were too extream, if you left the armour or the healing done, the changes might have been fine. It's now harder to get into groups, some will say... change roles, even if my points are completely tank orientated - they do not want "my kind" in the group anymore - simple reason, you nerfed too much in one go. Something you failed to do right during testing. The system you use to judge classes, is wrong. Simple as. When you change a classes abilities - or their values, you run each change through a playerbase... if the playerbase finds the changes acceptable, good, if not by a large percentage, go back change it by a small amount and patch the server until the general population that *play* the class can agree the nerf is at the right point. Both the deception tree and tanking tree, need adjustments, because for now... the tanking playerbase of the class are feeling grossly underpowered and deception is going the way of the Dinosaur.
  5. Replaying a class you've already played, if you like the storyline... it shouldn't be an issue, only 1 recommendation to add... Play the line differently. If you were DS, or LS, or a little of both... change it up. You'll enjoy all those little things you missed, did killing that guy benefit you? Did that other guy help you along the way if you helped them? Answers you'll only get when you play the 'other side' of the story.
  6. The problem is, certain quests are designed to have certain respawn rates; as do certain areas. Starting planets, for example, have faster respawn timers because more new and impatient players frequent them. Heroic zones outside of instances that are [4 player group] will have excessively faster spawn timers to compensate for the higher dps, healing and kill rates. If you're having a problem with the daily quests solo, perhaps you should group... or even make an OPS group, I've not yet really done the end game daily quests, but I'll assume they work like the lower planets where all group members can click on the same crate and what not. If spawn timers are still too bad for you, perhaps you should wait for the prime-time flashpoint rush, then head off to do those quests. Or login a little earlier, I don't know.
  7. Heh, I'm British, so the appeal is... everyone talks normally if you're imperial! But it's been said, I'm sure, many times... the plots, the general attitude, the outfits, the ability to actually do whatever the [edit] you want, when you want. I even love the atmosphere of the ships and cities of the Empire... then again, I have a strong aversion (real life) to bright, strong light... so even more +++ when playing on the Imperial side. Also, one comment I noticed... yeah, I imagine a large number of the Imperial side from SWG play imperials.
  8. If the VA is what you want, go with female, if that doesn't sell you... - Consider appearances, medium armour has some interesting choices... such as the maruader stuff; half tops and the like. Can look Sassy, Sexy and deadly. - Consider the two romances; Do you like Kaliyo, or would you rather the Joiner from Alderaan? Either way, the flirt options are no biggy... as an Agent, both Genders receive a Voss live-partner and I'll tell you now, I think the Female Agent gets alot of 'lovin' compared to other classes of the same gender. I personally like the male voice actor more... but it's all about looks for me ,)
  9. I'd play the game as Sith pureblood if they allowed them as starting class as something other than Sith ... heh. But national holidays for the allies of the Empire, is not a bad idea... so go forth and make blue and purple parasites!
  10. SWG had this problem all the time, the market was *truely* the players game, because it had 1 fundermental thing... an actual trader class with a real, complex crafting system. One particular item on a server called Starsider, the "armour colour kits" ... my guild leader had to hand-craft them, he made 100's... you know what he did when someone bought them all? He kept making them, he made hundreds of millions each year from this. Ironically, the people who tried to sell for more, because they hated the 'under pricing' doubled the orginal price, despite the fact our leader kept making and selling (on multiple planets in personal vendors, a total of 14)... I found it amazing that he did this so freaking often - but he made a bucketload of money from it. So the trick is, if you hate someone over-pricing... or under pricing, in your case, suck it up... price for their price, hope someone buys yours and resells for more... because when you come back to sell more, you underprice them again at your price and they'll sell. The trick is to profit 20% or more, from the costs of what it took to make the item... if it only costs 20k to make the aug kit, for example, you don't need to be charging 130k, 90k is still WAY over the minimal requirement to profit.
  11. Legacy system should have been a point system, with 50 being allocated every point possible to every reward, thus rewarding those who grind the most with the most reward. Instead, they counter your effort of grinding with more grinding for credits to buy perks, you should be allowed to purchase with legacy points. Yeah... no. This is what happens when you have EA running things, they see £$ but they fail to see [£$] walking away to a new game due to sheer boredom.
  12. I started "life" on Valcyn, 3 months after the NGE hit, where I was known as Ivini-tu and TK187 (spelt out)... I move over to the Test server where I basically broke the game for fun... After becoming self-taught in the arts of Solo'ing all content; TCPrime started up and I quickly became one of the better known members of the community - mainly infamous for my Anti-AFK griefing and breaking anything and everything the QA said was fixed (EA, learn how to freaking run a TC from Sony, seriously). When the free transfers hit, I moved what alts I could to Starsider... where my love of BM grew more and more; the only reason I continued to play was for that; Ivini and Ivini-tu (I couldn't be bothered to think of a 2nd name)... I became -NRA-'s raid leader and all around solo artist, including solo running the ISD (something I'm looking forward to again if the Project ever comes close to what soe's version was). One of my only real regrets, other than not playing the last 6 months of the game, was never managing to loot a Wampa DNA sample or the backpack; oh... and being only 1 card short out of 4, for the floating cloudcity house.
  13. That was a Sith Assassin, Consulars cannot, sadly, dress for combat. Trust me on this, I know *exactly* how you feel.
  14. Two key words... SWG (Starwars Galaxies) Lowca (SWG server name) Posters not too bad, I'm sure when the Project is up and running... it'll find it's rightful place ,)
  15. I'll jump on board, simple reasons... Every, single, freaking, cutscene... my Trooper, my Agent and Bounty Hunter will draw a pistol (or single in the merc case)... and the Sentinel/Maruader will only ignite a single lightsaber. So it begs the question, why can't I actually use a pistol? Or any ranged weapon for that matter. The smuggler and Bounty hunter alike, are self-taught, they would grab whatever weapon comes to hand... and specialise with what they want. The Agent and Trooper would both have the training, or opt for it. I can easily see the Trooper's companion, for example, teaching the trooper how to use a sniper; cause you know... Aric was in the Dead Eye's *sniper* assassination squad. The only weapon I would see, to be continued to be limited to perhaps only Troopers and Hunter alike, would be the Assault cannon... I just couldn't see a Smuggler or Agent sneaking around with those. In most cases, that cannon weighs as much as a smuggler!
  16. I always assumed whilst my bar is 'grinding up' I can be CC'd... normally 2 stuns, then my bar is full. Whilst my blue bar is white, I cannot be stunned, knocked back or rooted, but I can be snared. I've not pvp'd since 1.3 hit PTS in the first 7 or 8 days... they finally managed to break something that was actually useful and fair in pvp? EA not fixing it? Welcome to my freaking world. They don't care, they never will... at least, they never will whilst the game still profits.
  17. If you recall act 2, going into act 3... Belsavis, the whole corruption thing was solved alongside the ghost problem... Ignoring the advanced classes, going by lore... The Inquisitor would kill everyone; despite any counters from Jedi; they don't die - period. They don't seem able due to their reconstructed bodies and 3-5 ghost buddies keeping them pretty much immortal; the Jedi would basically have to out-live the Sith in order to win... and even then, they'll kill the Jedi as a Ghost. The Agent would be able to tick the others off the most, crippling, destroying, maybe even weakening targets; but only the Trooper would fall hard (after a lengthly, but futile attempt of a fight) due to the fact out of all the targets, the Trooper is too... Uniform. Smugglers, without a ship... they are ticked off and itching for some dirty fight, they'll dodge knives and counter with a shotgun or a nad kick; they'll use smaller arms and whatever comes to mind to win - I'd argue the closest fight. Warrior would lose to Knight, sadly, and I'd argue the Counsular would lose with the Warrior for the simple reason... the Warrior is too witty or too vicious for the diplomat (although, I'll admit gameplay not lore would go WAY against that). and don't even get me started on Bounty Hunters, they'd prob collect the corpses at the end and cash in once the Inquisitor has started violating the Jedi something Chronic... because, you know, she loves torture.
  18. When I feel it's time to track down some black leather chaps, I'll consider asking around But you should read the thread, not the persons name before coming up with a smart-*** answer, thank you Well, since I'm here... again, does anyone know of any *republic* Light armour half tops a Counsular can use, or am I forever doomed to wear the political gowns and frilly hats?
  19. Well, every group I personally joined... I was never able to 'need' anything a warrior only could use, from the annoyingly vast amount of grouping I did do. The same was true when I was on my warrior, I could not for the life of me 'need' for focus items - period. That said, Rift has been out for 6 months or more... before this game came out, I'm not going to do math... it was over half a year; anyone with a brain would look up the current new MMO's, the current top 25 and any potentials that are going to be out in the next 2... and would promptly add, if it's easy and makes sense, the things people like. This game needs a working need function, if anyone is going to argue that... shut up. Seriously. If someone needs something, they shouldn't have to fight over a group of greedy group members who only want a mod or the credits.
  20. Basically, remove the need function for EVERYONE aside from the class that can use it. The filter would need to apply to the Advanced class only (So two knights, only the heavy user can need heavy) Rift has this function, when it came out brand spanking new... I've never understood why SWTOR did not.
  21. SWG had an auto loot... you'd think, a company that forced the only other starwars MMO out of the playing field, would have used more of the games good points. Wouldn't need to be a pet, should be a default option in preferences.
  22. We can use the saberstaves... you just have to look in what skills we have. But~ Several of our key abilities, such as our tanking toggle buff requires the double. Being an Assassin, or shadow; I'd like to see both sides of the 'class' able to use short-swords, aka short sabers. Think Yoda sized blades... and hold them in the backward way manner of Snips and the Force Unleashed character. Saddens me the default Assassin pose wouldn't use that method, as both defensive and deceptive.
  23. If I was to compare a Knights use of a single blader to the double bladed of a Shadow... the knight swings the glowbat like a baseball bat... with little room for finese. At least, that's my opinion on how they use it. The Consular will use spinning belly slashes and beat downs to end the life of a target, when not using a force attack but the basic strike - I can't comment on the grace of the sentinel, but the Shadow is quite agile in their movements; both literally and animated.
  24. Oh my, well... I guess that's what I get for only using 1 site... that is a shame. I was kind of hoping to dress one of my purebloods in a nice gown; guess I'm stuck with the less than entertaining outfits the counsular gets. Thank you... and underworld, I'll have to remember that ,)
  25. We have 2 spinning kicks, 1 we can use whenever, another when the target is incapped somehow... we also have a spinning attack. Compared to a knight, I'd say our basic attacks that aren't force-based are quite agile. We also get bursts of force speed, which can in some cases be better than a force leap; but you aren't being very clear as to what type of agility you want. Literal mobility or combat animation? I'd argue, shadow is better in both aspects. (which quite naturally, includes Assassin).
