  1. Actually, I never looked at dressing up characters as casual players thingy. But so much hype about new CM gear coming up is really too much sometimes. Its like world is ending if gear model is not absolutely perfect.
  2. It became all about looks. Looks and nothing else. Is anyone here interested about how your character perform, about character stats, about gameplay itself, about new new content, achievements, world bosses mechanics and such? Instead we get a ton of posts/threads like "armor looks ugly", " mount and armor clipping issues", "BW, where is that greenish-whitish-blackish etc dyes we wait for sooooo long", "where is that cool looking hat for my scoundrel" etc etc etc. What is this - a barbie shop? Little girls not happy with their barbies dress color " its too red, we want a bit more orangeish". Dont we have enough balance problems, bugs, story inconsistencies, computer incompatiblities, cartel market nonsense etc to talk about minor details in looks? More and more I have a feeling Im in a kindergarten.
  3. Do you repair your gear? It might be broken....
  4. Tbh, I dont really see why you ask these questions. Since you can post here, means you got subscription active and you can see the game by yourself by actually playing it and see by yourself in full shine (not crippled as ftp players do). Also, I dont know why others opinions worth anything to you, since you will get contradicting answers in any case. Unless , of course, if you play games for sole reason they are popular. Not to mention that forums are visited by very very small percentage of ToR community and you wont be getting the whole picture anyway.
  5. I can understand about deadly boss mods and alike. But some kind of item database addon, which tracks number of items you have spread on different alts. Also tracking achievements on different alts, mount or whatever. Saves a lot of trouble logging on different alts to find out does he have mats to craft. This is called quality of life addon and does not play game for you.
  6. Sure, if you only play one or two characters its easy to fill trees. But many people play lot of alts and remebering all their trees is just not possible. So it will take time for them to sort them. Thats why I dont have field respec. And skill trees are the most easy part - rearranging quickbar slots is much more of a hassle, not to mention keybinding. Field respec is good thing , but not everyone has enough legacy or credits to buy it.
  7. I really tried both smuggler and agent and I really cant get used to it. I have all advanced classes at 55/50 except smuggler/agent. Think I tried 5-6 times making smuggler, but always gave up at levels 25-30. Now, I would rather pay CC/credits just do get legacy 5% crit buff than having to level them. I think its cover mechanic and that cover bar goes up - down what annoys me. Cover - shoot - have to move - cover -shoot... this just annoys as not-needed hassle. I admire people who stick with them. Maybe lot of people think like me and thats the reason they are least played class...
  8. All Im finding on dulfy is FP guides, but no loot tables anywhere. Can it be there is no loot table anywhere on 3rd party sites, even not on SWTOR official??
  9. Anyone know where to check them? Tor-loot is outdated, googling didnt help, found only OPS loot tables...
  10. Totally agree with that. Story mode needs nerfing to be what it is meant to be, story telling for bunch of people who dont know each other, dont have voice comms and no knowledge of tactics.
  11. Almost forgot, I dont experience dreaded ability delay like I use to, only this I found is in BT fp game still crahes to desktop. But, nvm, Im very happy with state of the game.
  12. I have resubbed to Swtor a week ago after 6 months pause. Game looks so much better now, graphics look awesome, I really didnt expect this much improvement. I didnt change a thing in my computer and now it runs game at much higher fps than before. Even at fleet it dont get under 45 fps, and before I couldnt get more than 25 fps with same settings. What they actually did to the game to look and feel so good now?
  13. How you guys manage to play Madness tree, be it Assassin or Sorc? I always loved playing shadow priest or warlock in wow, but here, due to UI being bad, i really cant get used to it. Also no addons make it really hard to monitor debuffs.... Also, as sorc healer, how to track debuffs on players when dispell is needed? Share your secrets please...
  14. I completely understand skipping trash and bosses in HM FPs, everyone needs only tokens or columi pieces from last boss. All other gear is given when you reach lvl50. But I will never understand skipping trash in leveling FPs. Trash mobs = experience, so after so many years of playing Mmos, I dont get it.
  15. I think main reason is resposibility for the group. Tank is leader of the group and carries a biggest burden for group success. Positioning of the mobs, a way how to pull certain trah or boss, need to know the tactics for every trash or boss, timing defensive cooldowns, timing of med packs, keep aggro on all mobs, watching healers resource between pulls, watching for patroling mobs....list goes on and on. Not to mention fighting against your own group when dps ninja pulls and expect tank to get mobs under control the same second. Yes, it can be very painfull experience. For me, easiest fights are boss fight where you can focus on one mob and only watch for few circles on ground, boss aggro switch or few adds. But hardest thing is definately tanking trash that is spread out too much - there will be at least one or two loose mobs going for healer and there comes a problem - healer start to scream that tank is bad and cant protect healer. Then others start to moan also... They probably dont notice that tank is chain force-choked or thrown away from mobs and temorarily disabled to his job. Just remember 1st and 2nd trash wave in Red Reaper, it can be nightmare with bad groups. Not to mention dps not going for normal mobs helping tank, but going straight for elite/s and reason is "normal mobs die too quickly and i cant do my full rotation cycle which i can do on elite mobs".
  16. I really dont see the problem you having if someone is leveling in tank spec. So what if it takes longer? Whats the hurry anyway, the game wont run anywhere, right? Also, some ppl want to learn tanking outside FPs, so its best to do it while questing. My best leveling experience was leveling shadow tank with dps companion - it felt fast enough (again, whats the hurry anyway) and as tank survivability is really huge factor. One more reason - using tank spec while questing lets us use dps companions, not those annoying heal companions like Talos Drelik or Doc or Quinn. Mako is an exception here...
  17. It cost you nothing to try the game for free and see for yourself. Read forums cos questions like yours were answered at least few dozen times.
  18. Fully agree with Scruffy there. F2P is great business decision by BW/EA, their income will just skyrocket. Yes, F2P players dont like it, but in the end what - they want BW to keep making new content and they want it for free??? F2P is just a demo of the game and serves as a teaser. If you like it, you will sub - if you dont like it, you will stop playing. And this is pretty natural, players to want toplay for free and companies to make money. Noone is wrong here, its just market behaviour where both players and companies will meet or will not meet at some price. And IMO, biggest buyers of cartel coins are subscribers who sell those items for credits on GTN. Those ppl pay sub + buy coins making BW to double their income.
  19. Make yourself a cup of coffee, sit down and think again.
  20. Summary: 1. Help casual people to catch up 2. Stop people to consume content too fast and whine about boredom 3. Making people to check if the Sun is still shining All valid reasons for putting caps on comms, I support it fully. Thinking differently would be very selfish....
  21. Leveling being best part of this game, I fully support increasing level cap. In fact, all effort put into end-game could be better used by not having level cap at all.
  22. Ok,when a player hits level 50 and has a lot of credits, whats the best way to use them to gear up for PVE? Is it buying mods from gtn or crafter and put in leveling orange gear? And about BH comms, is it better to buy Camp armorings or BH gear? Thanks
  23. Been there, done that - dont want to fall in that trap again. I dont have a working schedule, working in shifts that change often, even daily. And if I cant comit to guild schedule, it is better for the guild NOT HAVING me at all. Dont you see - I just want to be fair to any guild. Thats why in my 5-year wow experience, I changed only 3 guilds, one of them being my 1st socialguild. Not many ppl can say the same. Cant you just forget about guilds and talk about group finder? For ppl like me, group finder is a blessing from heavens. When BW introduced GF for FPs and EV/KP SMs, I began to like SWTOR 2000% more then before. I still remember how much ppl begged BW to make GF asap, meaning ppl want it and it is popular. Look at WoW, their group finder for ALL RAIDS is more than popular. Why would it be different in SWTOR?
  24. It is called story mode for a reason - see the story obviously. It is not called or meant to be PM (Practice Mode) for raid guilds training ground. SWTOR is all about the story, more than any other game I played. It is also annoying when ppl in leveling FPs keep saying "skip, press space" etc. denying new ppl right to see the story if they are there for 1st time (I can understand that in HM FPs, ppl should see the story why leveling). Same thing in ops - you actually want to deny to some ppl the right to see the story in ops only for selfish reason to be your training ground. So, again, you want all 3 difficuly modes for yourself for sole reason you have time and will for being in raid guild. Yes, giving up on 1 dificulty level is hard, right? :rolleyes
