    Get rid of Huttball

    I wouldn't say get rid of hutball (I like it personally), but the map needs reworking to combat certain class abilities. Classes that can pull players to them, use force speed or leap to team mates they have a huge advantage over other classes in huttball. Not to mention jugs can leap to team mates and to enemy players. So they can effectively jump two large distances.
  2. I'm not defending BW for "ripping you off". I'm just trying to point out that if you got ripped off its your fault for your own lack of knowledge. I hope you're still fairly young and as you get older you'll mature and understand how idiotic your complaining is. As a side note~ People who succeed at things in life are often the ones who take the time to research and fully understand what it is they are doing. If you didn't take the time to at least skim over the information about the upcoming commendations changes, that was posted multiple times, then sorry but I have no sympathy. Most MMO's (in my experience) require you to go to their site to read about upcoming changes. It's standard.
  3. I still heal, but I did start up a powertech pyro (just because merc pyro is crap in comparison). But, I still play my Merc healer 90% of the time. I find that I can heal just fine, I just make sure I stick to a jug/powertech who is guarding me. That right there is pretty much the "secret" to staying alive as a healer in 1.2. A tank who knows how to keep you alive while you keep both you and him alive.
  4. Really? I get that you're upset, but the information is out there and it's your own fault for not getting to it. Stop acting self entitled. You can't be spoon fed EVERYTHING..do a little research, it's good for you. The information has been in QnA's and was in the PTS's 1.2 update patch notes, which was there for a while before 1.2 hit public servers. If you don't read it you have only yourself to blame.

    Guild VS Guild PVP

    I think it was mentioned on a podcast or somewhere they want/plan to put in guild vs guild pvp or pvp amongst your own guild. I could be completely wrong so don't quote me on this. It could have even been just people saying they want it. Also Terra is horrible....
  7. I love Mako's character because she is pretty complex. She loves the Great Hunt and is well aware that people are killed, but she is still relatively young and has a naive-ness to her that affects her judgments. Which is why a lot of the time she likes LS choices.
  8. Well, I can't speak for everyone but I am a casual player and I don't find it burdening at all. The gear grinds in this game are a joke as is. I see no reason why they should change it, in my opinion it works fine.
  9. I think it's needed. Mainly because I think there should be a separation between the types of gear you get via PVE and PVP. If someone puts more time into one of those they should be better equipped at it than someone who doesn't. Why? Because there should be some reward for doing it and the gear is that reward. It shows that you've been at it long enough to get that amount of expertise. Removing it would just make pvp feel "meh" to me. There should be some kind of progression in PVP and the gear that separates PVE from PVP is that progression. Does it need more balancing? Perhaps....I do agree with others that 10-49 is great in terms of balance, which is why they need to do more adjusting at 50.

  12. Honestly unless you're in hutball and can knock them away to where they can't leap to you, you're probably screwed.
  13. Why not change the day you allow yourself to play? Problem solved. If that doesn't work then... sorry? You can't expect them to change the date/time to suit individuals. They picked a time for their maintenance and you just happen to have a crappy time. Sucks for you, but that's life.. you can't expect something to please everyone. Your post just makes you sound like someone who is self entitled. For my sake and that of everyone else don't pass any self-entitlement you might have on to your children. Also, the "3 kids and a wife" part doesn't garner any sympathy from me. You put yourself in that situation. ^^

  15. ^ When I was leveling I turned off all her special attacks and left just the channeled stun + her heals. Worked fine for me. Though I ditched her when I got Torian and I went bodyguard spec.

    CC is out of control.

    Resolve needs work as certain classes can spam kb/push/pull/stun/mez/whatever moves on you and your resolve bar not be full. Or you can play a BH and do 2 moves and pretty much fill someones resolve bar.

    They don't need an interrupt and if they get one make it PVE specific. But as far as PVP goes, we don't need one.

  19. I can't believe (actually I can...) some people think the 1.2 changes were good. Players should be awarded for participation not just pure wins. Though winning should give more rewards, as you are winning. If players don't get some kind of reward for even trying to play pvp it will discourage people from playing. The more people that don't play PVP cause they're discouraged, the less pvp all of you "1337" players get to do. Also, if you really think this game having a system that gives players nothing for playing is smart for their business, then you're an idiot. The idea behind the 1.2 patch was a good one, 3 medals to prevent people who go afk from receiving rewards but it turned out that it was completely possible to not get 3 medals in a match. Mostly in cases where the other team destroys your team. (Ie. a good huttball team vs some crappy pug.) Waiting for a queue then getting into a match only to get nothing for your time is not smart idea on Bioware's part. I personally think they should re-implement a weekly for playing games. That way it incentivizes people to play more and thus more pvp all together.
  20. I don't like those ideas personally. I don't feel a need for an interrupt, but I don't PVE, which is where I hear people want one most. The disengage ability is interesting, but I'd rather have it be more useful than that. A sage's force speed gets them further than 15m. If we can't get out of knight/warrior's leap range, I think it's pointless. There have been several topics on this in the past, both in suggestion forum and here. The mercenary class, at least in regards to Bodyguard, is quite broken at the moment with patch 1.2. We're super squishy and pretty much get shut down easily by other DD's (Especially knight/warriors) I've been all for a disengage type ability in the past and still am. But I'd like to see more buffs to our defensive capabilities. I always considered one of the strong points of the bodyguard bountyhunter is that we could take a hit and still be effective healers. Now not so much.
  21. I don't know about PVE, but I hear it works just fine as a healer. In pvp it still works, kinda. I can still heal pretty well~ I've yet to break 300k since patch, but I usually get close. I also still get out healed by sorcs. Oh and my operative friend who I usually play with out heals me. He's a pretty good player tho.
  22. Since I play a healer and a sentinel, I can say that sentinel/maraduer are definitely too OP. I don't know about the 3 shot crap people keep saying, but I do know that any good sentinel/marauder will destroy my healer and there is very little I can do about it. Since patch 1.2 I'm actually finding jugs and guardians that are able to lay a beating on me, not sure if this is because of changes or I'm just seeing more of them lately. If it's a bad sentinel/marauder I can just heal myself through their attacks, tho they're still going to gimp the healing I can do for my team as I'll have to focus too much on myself. Besides sentinels I find I hate jug/gaurdians more because they force leap, attack attack, interrupt me, I cast again they force push me interrupting another action of mine, then leap again, interrupting yet another, then force choke me preventing me from doing ****. knight/warrior are pretty damn brutal in pvp. Which I find really fun (yet still unfair) when I play my sentinel and really broken when I play any other class.
  23. This is all purely from a PVP perspective, I don't pve raid. Just the other day I was looking over the bodyguard tree and was thinking just how badly setup it really is. Specially with the 1.2 changes. I use to have a point into cure mind, even though I wasn't sure what the hell it also removed, but once 1.2 came it just wasn't worth it. I agree that critical efficiency really shouldn't cost 3 points to cap and it does feel somewhat like a waste. Though what feels like the biggest waste of points is that warden requires 5 points to cap. I use to dislike heat dampening, but with the heat changes in 1.2 I respeced and put a point into this. It helps a lot. (Purely from a PVP perspective) In regards to Powered Insulators I actually also put points into this after the 1.2 patch, I find it helps.. but not really enough. One of my bigger issues with the bodyguard tree really is that hired muscle is one of our tier 1's. I would love for this to be replaced with something else. 3 points for 3% is crap. I'd like it if Integrated Systems and Custom Enviro Suit were swapped with Hired Muscle and Critical Reaction. That way we can still reach emergency scan easily, but also get more defensive stats so we don't die as fast. Cause as it stands now our survivability is horrible. I love how you mentioned, which I think a lot of people don't really consider, that our ability to take hits was our survivability tool. Unlike sorc/sages we didn't have force speed or anything to quickly get away. Which in my opinion made sense, I mean our healing tree is called Bodyguard after all. I suggested a while back that a possible option to help our survivability would be to lower Warden and beside it place an escape tool which could just be an in-combat version of the jetpack/rocket boots from the legacy. Or a move that jet packs us back behind us, like another community member suggested. Though I would prefer to have more defensive capabilities that let us take a hit again. But again, I agree that the bodyguard tree needs some work as well as some more retweaking of the changes they did in 1.2 Kolto shell nerf and supercharged gas nerf was just overkill imo.
  24. When I do pvp it's usually with a tank friend, but it really doesn't solve the issue of being killed too easily. Probably has a lot to do with the healing changes. If a freaking mara/sentinel jumps on you, it's pretty much all over. I really wish kolto shell and supercharged gas were still the same however. Adding a heat cost (or at least a 16 heat cost) to kolto shell was unnecessary.
  25. They can't nerf us fast enough. This was really dumb on Biowares part.
