  1. you should be allowed to buy the potions or chests imo. or use them to buy pvp gears for your alts or something (those blue lvl 20/40 gears and pvp weapons). Other than that, straight up conversion is dumb.
  2. With 1.1.5, people are able to obtain battlemaster rank (60V) approximately 2 to 3 times faster than before. (FROM a warzone perspective, I don't care about your ilum kill trading). EDIT: (Apparently people can't read well, so to clarify, it's battlemaster RANK that is faster by 2-3 times) Why are people butthurt about this? Just because someone hits 60V doesn't mean that person automatically gets a full set of battlemasters. The battlemaster rank is literally like putting your a foot through the door, that's it. Unlike WoW's honor and arena point systems, you cannot earn the currency to buy battlemaster gear until you reach the actual rank. After 60V, their chances at battlemasters are just as bad (or good) as yours. The difference is that you may have spent longer on getting to 60V, but still yet, you've been at an advantage and will ALWAYS be an at advantage because you started grinding for battlemaster commendations BEFORE others did. Are you upset that people will be able to catch up faster than before and PvP with you on a more even field? All this crying is painful to read, especially when before patch 1.1.5 so many people complained about how it took them 1 or 2 months to get their complete battlemaster set. Guess what, it won't be much shorter for the new battlemasters. You might say, but there is the battlemaster commendations!!!! It costs 4000 WZ commentions, which requires 40-50 games under the CURRENT commendation system. If a person was playing 40-50 warzone games before, even WEEKLY, he would have battlemaster by now. If that person wasn't playing 40-50 games a week, but more like ~20-30 like a casual player, then he is not going to suddenly have the time or interest to invest twice the time into a game just because of this patch. There is not going to be this sudden outburst of FULL BM GEAR BMs. Seriously. Calm down. This is obviously a transitional patch before 1.2 for new and reroll players to gear up the toon they want in preparation for the upcoming rated warzones so they don't get completely dominated by "lol-veterans" in full BM gears.
  3. It's not "hard" to get BM gear, it's just the whole RNG thing. Keep in mind that you cannot start to get BM bags until you are level 60, meaning the faster you get to 60V, the faster you can start on your daily/weekly/commendation grind. With patch 1.1.5, people can get to 60V in approximately half the time. Combined with the ability to purchase BM commendations, albeit a long grind for one, this means people will be able to gear up faster than they did pre-1.1.5. The time saved, especially for 1-60V, is quite significant. Hence making it possible for new players, or people that want to reroll for ranked WZ, to gear up faster. But of course, once you hit 60V, the process of getting the gear is not that much faster. But people still complain anyway, as if BM title was meaningful or prestigious in any way.
  4. this is obviously a transitional patch so everyone, casual or not, can gear up for ranked WZ in 1.2. They intentionally made gearing up easier in anticipation of ranked WZ. They don't want people who are in full BM to just dominate ranked WZ and kill it for everyone else, especially when you can solo queue, meaning ranked WZ is not catered to premades only. They're bridging the gear gap between hardcore and casuals, old players and new players, over the next few weeks before 1.2.
  5. give them a title. "the douchebags" Dumbest thread I've ever seen.
  6. uh. working as intended. It's just so you don't have to farm another 840 when you're 1 or 2 commendations away from your next piece. It's not supposed to offer a better, or even the same, rate as bags.
  7. except that is sub-50, and it's alderaan.
  8. TERA was a snooze fest. I pre-ordered because everyone was raving about how revolutionary TERA is. Sorry, it is not. MMOARPG is an OLD concept in Asian games, and TERA is just another. There is a reason why TERA failed in Asia, but is predicted to be successful in the U.S. and in Europe. TERA combat system felt extremely clunky because not every ability can be "cancelled" mid-cast (or mid-animation). This results in you doing this huge animation for even a normal mouse1 attack while the monster or opposing player is nowhere close to being hit. You might say, "well, that's how it's supposed to be! You have to AIM." Not really. Especially for "auto-attacks." Players should be able to "respond" to an opponent's movement, and not be committed for seconds on a string of pointless attacks because they pressed their mouse1 button. Go search a TERA duel on youtube, especially one with melees. It's a damn joke. It's pretty much whoever can land one "big attack" wins, since it hits for almost your entire health bar. This is not street fighter. Not to mention it's not remotely skillful to dodge boss special abilities, when they either take 1-2 seconds preping for it, and/or have their eyes SHINE before doing a big attack. Any non-bad will be able to dodge attacks or block attacks. Edit: not to mention the collision detection for players. GL getting around when the game is first released.
  9. not really. swtor doesn't really have anything that is uniquely WoW. everything is just cookie-cutter MMO.
  10. huttball is my favorite out of the current 3.
  11. you mean games get ideas from other games that work well? too bad swtor doesn't do the same with wow.
  12. I totally agree, snipers are significantly weaker post-50. However, they are very strong pre-50, and I see a good number of them as I am leveling up my new main. I don't think snipers will ever be dominating in numbers, or even account for 1 or 2 spots every warzones because of lack huge lack of mobility. I just hope you didn't reroll sorcerer because of the things you read on the forums, because you be thoroughly disappointed at the "massive mobility and survivability along with its dps" at champion/battlemaster levels.
  13. Not really, as you can see from the responses, there are servers experiencing the same thing I am. This is not just some made up scenario, but it also makes sense statistically because sorcerers are the majority for lvl 50 warzones, hence rerolls are NOT going to be sorcerers. I don't want to derail this thread to be about a discussion on sorcerer's OPness, but only to see what others are experiencing and whether their pre-50 warzones are more balanced than level 50 warzones as far as sorcerers go.
  14. I'm not sure if this is only happening on my server, but sorcerers are the minority in pre-50 warzones. I was a sorcerer, and I have rerolled a powertech and a marauder after losing interest in sorcerer. This appears to be the case for many sorcerers I know. A lot of people rolled sorcerers when the game came out, because sorcerer is the only caster class in the game and purple lightning is cooler than guns. As a result, warzones were dominated by sorcerers as far as numbers go, and people started complaining about getting killed by 5 purple lightnings and getting knocked back over and over again. However, many players who actually play sorcerers in the champion/battlemaster levels can tell you that sorcerers are generally mediocre in most PvP situations where people are actually fighting. This mediocrity is overlooked when people see sorcerers "force speed through fire," or "rescue people all the way to the goal line." No matter how others may feel about sorcerers, as a sorcerer player, they're not all that great. I've played both DPS and healing specs, healing for the majority, and I've consistently "topped the meters" for either specs because AoEing and heal spamming is simply not that hard. However, playing whack-a-mole healing and/or spamming ~1K per tick force lightnings (funny how it deals less damage than an assassin's force lightning) is simply not fun. What I am trying to say is that the sorcerer-dominated warzones will change in the near future because people who are leveling and people who are rerolling are simply not picking sorcerers nearly as much as when the game was first released. Pre-50 warzones are DOMINATED by mercenaries and assassins, following by snipers/ marauders/ powertechs. When these new players and rerolling players hit 50, they will change the composition of level 50 warzones. (people who tries to be forever 49 is a TINY minority). Therefore, I foresee level 50 warzones to be dominated by mercenaries by 1.2, following by marauders/assassins. Sorcerers will go down to around ~2 per warzone. I'm not saying all this for the whole "nerf sorcerer" argument, because I've already rerolled anyway. I am just saying class balance will be more even by 1.2 (except lolsnipers).
  15. For once I agree with Eternalfinality, and the OP for that matter. Grapple, force pull, and rescue should be shortened in range. 30m is way too far in huttball, and the CD should be at least 1 minute (like rescue). The fact that you can pull someone into fire then stun them, pretty much almost guaranteeing a kill since stun breaker is double the CD of pulls (making it more likely to pull someone without stun breaker up). That is really the only application of the pull abilities I have a problem with. Pulling people off platforms I have no problem with because that is what pass is for. Grapple, force pull, and rescue also takes no skill, no aiming, and barely any positional preparations. It is WAY easier and far more effective than knockbacks, where you have to be in melee range and aim your knockbacks. Also, the most prevalent source of knockbacks, sorcerers/sages (since there are more of them) have a delay, making it possible to position yourself to counter the knockback effect. In the end, I don't think the range is going to be changed because of its PvE applications for PT and Assassin tanks, but it is incredibly overpowered in huttball. They CAN, however, change huttball to decrease the amount of damage fire pits do, or just enlarge the map so pulls and rescue do not have that dramatic of an effect.
  16. pvp is about who has the most "long" CDs. Something a sorcerer simply does not have, unless you count recklessness as one. Sorcerer also has no burst. All that translates to a horrible duel class. Sorcerers play well with others though. They provide great synergy in a group setting. When the group dominates with sorcerer support, it's the sorcerer that is OP. Am I right?
  17. inb4 1. pvp is not 1v1 2. sorcerers are still op 3. nerf sorcerers 4. buff snipers 5. nerf "inquisitors" 6. marauder takes a lot of skill to play
  18. sorcerer heavy teams only dominate against pugs. Any premade will stomp sorcerer heavy teams. ~2 sorcerers (1 CC, 1 heal) would be ideal. 1 juggernaut 1 or 2 powertechs 1 assassin 1 or 2 mercs (healers) 1 or 2 marauders
  19. only bads allow sorcerers to "pull" without interference. not to mention whoever is pulled can be "pulled back" Considering how squishy sorcerers are and how force speed can be stunned, you'll be much better off with assassins instead of sorcerers. MAYBE you want 1 or 2 sorcerers for the CC and heal/bubble, but that is about it.
  20. LOL MARAUDER IS THE WEAKEST PVP CLASS? You have 4 marauders and you STILL haven't learned how to play it correctly? They DOMINATE PvP in small scale situations and they are extremely strong in group v. group situations as well.
  21. The death of pve, thy name is operations! BIOWARE GIVE SPECIAL GEAR TO PREMADES FOR PVE. It's like Rakata vs. lvl 50 oranges from solo players! O.M.G. Completely ignoring the solo instance runners! What is this crap! Death of PvE!
  22. still doesn't change the fact that imperial-dominated servers will continue to dominate. you're just shortening the progress of getting kills
  23. The towers are sequenced in order for firing. Imperial left -> center -> right. So the left fires first. That's why imperials end up winning 5-0. It's not a bug, it's just a flawed design. They should just make the turrets fire at the same time.

    Stop it. Please

actually the empire fleet is the republic fleet recolored. I know that for a fact. I made it.

    Nerf healing today

If you guys think fights last too long in this game, you're going to HATE GW2 PvP. Fights are incredibly drawn out in GW2 PvP, even between non-healers/tanks.
