  1. Herer is something to think about: When our avatar is confronting Valkorion in the Throne room for the first time, he seems quite suprised that we think he might be "our" Emperor. Later he goes with this idea, but did he ever admitted, he might be Vitiate? I think this one is playing us, letting us belive what we want. Letting us think what we want, is giving him a way stronger pawn. It's not like, I wouldn't prefer the idea of him be etither Vitiate or not. It's like, Valkorion is so totally different from Vitiate. Actually anything he is doing is different. Even all of his motives. The personalities are absoulte different. And after this particular scene I mentioned, it gave me to think.
  2. Probably only through the event.
  3. Indeed, Jessa was by the way the template for any companion. Sadly this was cut off, like so many great features once announced pre relese., but her desing remained in the game. The experience whether you have a good or a evil version is by the way quite well recieved. Sadly, the Jessa storylines are so washed up. Some thing for sure, if they want to do the same thing with Vaylin the'll better get some straight personas we can handle. And if not, better they put more effort in one version and go for it. It's anyway not that it would matter much. We already have absolute no real choice in KotFE, beside killing from the start some of our potential companions.
  4. I tried various paths during my time in SWTOR with the SW. But still my second character took the right angle. She is quite absolute. Not really evil, but absolute. If you cross her you are dead, no redemption, not alternative. Mission is mission. That is the reason I absolutely hate Malavai. It's because I can't kill him. Also I don't get along with either of Jessa's persona. She likes brutes and professionals. And that "little bird". Vette is the only one who can mock up. I tried a friendship relation with Lana Beniko, but either you remain professional antipathy or you gain a romance. I like Pierce and Senya Tirall because of their dedication and also like HK-55, although 51 was way more fun. While I see 55 as a servant assassin, I saw 51 as a lapdog, willing to sacrifice himself to save me. ...what actually happened. I wasn't surprised, but I was sad. Why do I talk about this? Yes it has something with Vaylins persona. I think my SW could ally with Vaylin and work together. I even hope to find a real motivation through her. At this point my SW is something I wish not for her. Commander of some band called alliance, established by others. She is no strategic leader, but only a beacon, or let's call her a hero on the battlefield. Maybe Vaylin as a companion would give her a twist to have a reason to fight for. Frankly, after I realised Valkorians ghost is in my mind, my first thought as the Wrath of the Empire was. "I'll jump of the cliff, and I'll f***ing take you with me. You're not going anywhere buddy! You're in the worst place you could hide. You're mine!" And off she went. This is what my SW would do. Everything dies, but the reason and how means something to her. She is still the Wrath of the Empire, even if there is no Empire any longer, the revenge must be fulfilled. Would fit perfect pairing with Vaylins revenge on her father and her brother. You asked, why and when do we got off topic. Actually we were only partial off topic. The question is, "is Vaylin a good asset and would she be an effective Sith?" And here we started: First we got to understand what that even means. Where is a line between the search for ultimate Freedom, the line where a Sith is ineffective and betray its teachings. And when is a Sith only a drooling beast controlled by its perversions and emotions.
  5. That's exactly what I'm saying in my last post. But before that he was quite the mastermind. And he tried to kill the Sith Warrior, simply because he knew this one is a major problem, because the Sith warriror is a quite potent force user and has potential not to be blind. ...well, technically. Fraknly I think the story of the Sith Warriror shows a quite driven protagonist. he knows nothing, but he runs like a bull straight against any wall. Luckily its head is quite strong and he can break any obstacle with force. I wish The SW would me a little more like SW EU Vader, or even better as Tyrannus. They both are fearcefull Blademasters, but they also has a sharp mind. The SW lacks of this competly. It is just a driven brute. No wonder the SW was chosen to be the Wrath. He doesen'T ask much, he acts. I agree completely. I wonder why the authors decided to slaugther Malgus story in this simple way. He had better got the part of Darth Marr. As much as I like this one, Malgus I like way better.
  6. Why fix things which are not broken? I want Vaylin psyche to be whole again. No matter the consequences. And I definetely don't want her to be the "good" girl. I already had enough of Jessa and Kira. Those two are my favorite companions, when it comes to take them for a walk through the airlock. And since I'd started the true Sith discussion, real Sith are not mediocre but outstanding in many ways as possible. Asside from the classical faults a Sith have. Mediocre Darksiders, even taught in the ways of the sith can't fulfill the codex. Thatfore tey'll be forever slaves. And this contradicts everything a Sith wants to achieve. You said it right "Freedom" is the final step. Any Sith thrieves for it. Not Power, ...but it is a side effect, because only with Power you can achieve that. I'm not talking bout Force potential, but Power to do whatever a Sith want. The separation is quite simple to make. Who is Sith, who a delusional Darksider? Anything that lets a Sith get distracted from the major goal addsto it. Every boasting Sith ho is putting all of his card on the table. Any mediocre Sith in the Force. Any Sith that is letting anything control himself. Witht all those obstacles a Sith can't ever become free those are all illusional chains which are holding him back. The worst things are, they are all forged only by this Darksider. Thatfore is can't be Sith. This idea of Freedom doesn't hoever stand against beeing humane, nor beeing social or cooperating. But it makes it hard. It is way easier to kick everyone down the stairs you are climbing. Or in other words, you can be a Sith lord and don't have to want galactic domination. What would you do with that, if it doesn't fits you to be really free? You see, the idea of the codex is purely theoretical. You acutlly don't have to ever have a corporal fight, but still have to fight every day in your mind. This is also Sith. Now look of the most Darksiders of the Empire. Do they look like they are enlightened? Not to me. Either veneered beeing something a Sith is not. The most of them have attribute a Sith would never want to achieve. Pride, fair fight, nationalism, loyalty, controlled by emotions. Especially "controlled by anything" gives me iches, when it comes to a Sith! If you let control yourself by anyone you are either aware of it and have a backplan or you are no Sith but Balloony.
  7. I belive, we lived through the last breath of the old Sith empire and the order as we knew. Between this spot in time and the Darth Bane Saga, there will be no revive of the Sith as an Empire. The Brotherhood is only the heir of the shards that remain. The whole idea of the Sith is been washed down until Darth Bane redifines it. Those Sith we see here in the game have already lost a lot of knowledge and understanding of the Dark Side and the ways of the Sith. But are they "real" Sith? Kinda same thing as "is the dog still a wolf?" Hard to ansver. Some has a strong instinct, but most doesn't. Has Jessa this insinct? Or even Darth Marr? Jessa surely doesn't have what its take to be that kind of Sith. Neiter Darth Marr, even if he is a very impressive protagonist. Actually I think of only 4 Sithlords, who might be smart enough for this kind of stunt, Barras, Zash, Malgus and that elderly red Sith Lord, who has helped us while we were the Wrath. His mane escapes me. Zash, Barras and Malgus were only sloppy, and we only had a lot of luck during the story to overcome them. But frankly, when it comes to masterminds, they are the top knoch of this generation of Sith Lords. Am I arbitrary? Of course I am! Watching so much incompetence and idiocy at one place, I wonder, how the Sith Empire could survive an thrive for those 1000 years. I'd rather kill off the most of those maniacs to ensure stability and competence.
  8. No wonder I fell for her. And by the way, she is mine, MINE ALONE! You can't have her. Because she is mine in any way! And if she's going to be good, I'll cut her throat, like the evil Sith I pretend to be. ... Well, maybe. ...maybe I'll let HK-51 assasinate her. Or I'll put her in deadly combat with ...uhm, with whom anyway? None of my companions is fit to kill her. Can't throw her though through the airlock, because this is reserved for Jessa. Averything has to have it's order in my little empire. Is she the real danger? Oh, I hope so!
  9. Hush, hush, he doesn't stop time, but bolster your thoughts for a short moment of time. In this time you get to talk to him. It's simply like you think at light speed for a moment. Kinda same thing as the visions and the force seeing of the Force users in Star Wars. And that's the reason why the old Empire lost. Same wrong interpretation of the code as in the Time of the Brotherhood. This kind of Pseudosith is nothing more than a simple Darksider. She has absolutely no idea what it means to be Sith. ...well to be fair, she doesn't seem to understand anything either way. She is at both versions quite naive. Hold your horses. There are only 2 SITH LORDS, Master and Apprentice. This doesn't mean at all there are no Force wielding minions. Those minions, like the Hands of Palpatine and the Inquisitors in the Star Wars Rebels TAS, have little understanding of the true power of the Force and have even more little knowledge what a Sith really is and what he/she might be capable of. In the TOR Universe this is quite torn up. Most of the Sith we met here are actually nothing more than elitists, snobs and Darksiders, or simply Force wielders, who assume what the right way may to be a Sith. However only a very small fraction I would call true Sith Lords. Vitiate is now clearly one of this kind. Are our alter egos in the game? Sadly they are only pretenders. I would even go so far to call them washed up for being Pegi 13. And I think Vaylin has more in common with a real Sith Lord, than our Sith toons.
  10. I've experienced already several H2 mission bugs, which I assume have the same mechainic in comon. -Grab X items, then do stuff Even after I looted all the needed items the mission log remains on the prior stand for mission objectives and won't change.
  11. I wouldn't call Dark Jessa a Sith at all. She is just a crazed foce User, who grow on the Dark Side. But as we know just using the ark Siede, doesen't make you Sith. It's the attitude. Vaylin on the other hand shows from ste start this attitude.
  12. We'll see what the future episodes will bring. Maybe Vaylin psyche will get unlocked and we got eiter a real fight at our hands, or she is just a kitten then. Frankly, as much as I like her, In that case I'd prefer her to be a real enemy. I wouldn't like her washed up. But maybe I am all wrong. Who knows? She seems to me the way more interesting character in this game. Right after Valarion. By the way, I don't belive he is Vitiate. In the scene, where we meet hin in the throne room, he seems suprised, that we think he might be that Emperor of the Sith. And he never confimed he is Vitatate, but let us simly go with this thought.
  13. I think the best rolemodel of how a Sith works is Sidious and Tyrannus. They both work way better without the Force. They are masterminds at first and only after that very powerfull und skilled Force users. Thats is actually also the thing I try to achieve in here. ...Sadly in here the storyplots of Sith Warrior and Inquisitor is quite romantic. The warrior is more of a Samurai guy. Live by the codex, die by the sword. The Inquisitor is, well, only harnessing power. Both are not so outstanding as their rolemodels. More so, I feel like an apprentice during the storyplot of KotFE. When my Sith are competing with "equals" they toss the Sith like puppets around, but my Sith don't do this in return also. Even worse, they need Valkorion for stunts like that. From my understanding the equal powerlevel of my Sith warrior is Arkann. And my equal of a Sith Inquisitor in powerlevel and Force Skill is Vaylin. But again, ... the protagonists are not. They behave like htey have no idea what the Force is, and have nor plan or cunnig. They are been kept alive just by luck. Assuming that those two are my equals, Arkann is clearliy the antagonist. Maybe not the main antagonist, but he is delusional enough to be the primary at the moment. He is out of discussion not fit for been turn as a Sith. I belive even then he is no Sith material at all. But Vaylin, I am not quite sure she is the villian as well... This opens possibillities. Correct, but then again this is the higher game of a Sith Lord. Turning the unturnable is one of the greates games to be achieved. The storyplot for Jessa is quite on the point. But after that, meh! She is just crazy for beeing crazy. So ist Anakin to Palpatine, still, who was the master and who the Apprentice? I remind you, power and Force potential is not only what makes you a Sith Lord. At prime it is your intelligence and your cunning. But indeed, power helps achieving your ingenius goals. But if you are no mastermind, you are only a buffon dressed as a Sith. And no I don't mean by that, Vader is sipleminded. He is acutally a mistermind for himself. However still just a child compared to Palpatine and Vitiate.
  14. Pretty much this, however I don't see her at all as a Sith failure. Just a little to naive. But after all, she is but an apprentice. From my point of view, she has potential. Just got to get wiser or better.
  15. I haven't said she is the perfect Sith, but the perfect candidate to be one. If you don't have these attributes, you'll going to have a quite hard time being a Sith. Even worse, you are actually no Sith if you haven' embraced or lived the credo. And please don't even tart arguing "grey Sith, blabla, Light Sith blaba" it's nonsense. There are neither grey Sith nor grey Jedi. This doesn’t mean this isn't possible, but those categories fall off the grid. Sith and Jedi is about dogmas and interpretation of the Force. Everything between is neither Sith, nor Jedi, but something else. Like all the Force user boundaries we met during TOR. Recently the prominent being the Knights of Zakuul. But back on the topic: I truly believe, Vaylin has everything that is needed to be a prominent Sith apprentice and with time she even could get a prominent Sith. She is already powerful, but she lacks of understanding how the Sith dogma works. She is just controlled by evil emotions. And Vaylin is but an inch to understand how to use them properly, like Sith do. These are my arguments for liking her. It's not like, "wow, that evil b/witch! Makes me ******! Yea, snap at me baby!" Rather it's, "Wow! A worthy apprentice for my Sith. Do the Sith thing, break her psyche to obey, build her again as a Sith. ...and mate with her, because she is the only one worthy being at your side, ...if even!" Yea, I know, sounds kinda sick, but a Sith works that way. Oh, you 'don't believe me? Bane, Zannah, Palpatine, Maul, Ventress, VADER. They are all at first tragic personalities, who were broken by their master. After that they grew more or less to be quite prominent Sith Lords. This is exactly the same sick idea, which made them.
  16. As far as I realised, those latency problems are found mostly n the new KotFe content, and in the content changed for KotfE. The error should be somewhere inside there to be found.
  17. The thing is, she is not like Dark Jessa, but like how Dark Jessea should have been. Dark Jessa is just a sadistic *****. Vailyn on the other side is like the perfect persona of a worthy Sith aprentice. She is like a spoiled titan child. Huge potential, strong in the Force, cruel and driven. Just perfect. The first time I met her, I thought, "Join me and I will finish what Obi Wan once started!" ...then I played KotfE and I felt ashame, because my once powerfull Sithwarrior, the mother***ing Whrath of the Empire is been handled during the cutscenes like a aprentice himself. And I was thinking then, ..."uhm, can I be your aprentice?" and "Me give luve, me give long luve. Me subuku guud! Me love you loong!":D
  18. Changing the engine and make the whole metadesing to work with the new one is simply insane! Even if they'd have a sink full of money, they wouldn't because the whole process of putting the entite gama into a new "chassis" is more work than worth it. It is quite easyer and cheaper to jut build a entire new game. The thing is, you can't simply swap the souceengine of an MMO. And yes, some games can do that. But even though there is a lot of work to be done. Even if they would keep SWTOR just for the fun at running, they wouldn't o it, because it is nonsense. Never say never! Developing the engine further is actually the main drive of any successfull game. Half Life uses a Quake engine core. Not Quake 3, I mean Quake, ...yeah, the first one. Even HL2 uses it. Also all of the games, that uses Unreal engine, are using the core of Unreal 1. ...just look of the newest tec release from the Unreal engine developers. Just wow! The thing is, that what Blizzard did to the WOW engine is the only real thing to upgrade a game, to look better and behave proper. The good thing is, Hero engine was designed to be a long life support. That means, it had from beginning the open end developement potion. The only reason why SWTOR looks and behaves like now is only by decision of the developers. And b the way ht Hero Engine in here , ...well acutally the SWTOR engine is so much changed, that only a part is still hero engine. The devs changed a lot of features in it, to fit the gamedesign.
  20. Well I rather think 10 tabs should be the least. And yes, I'm serious. And while we're at it, BioWare please fuse the cs accounts of the toons into one big account based cash account. ...Oi, what a sentence...
  21. Meh, it's the classic MMO vs RPG stuff which is around in this very forums since SWTOR launch. "What's better?" "Who is stronger?" - Bantha poodoo, who cares, as long as we have Lightswords and can kill jedi and republic scum.
  22. No it ain't. BioWares SWTOR is a mix of 2 total different game genres and even worse in a rigid form, where none of the 2 genres has any impact of the other. So, from the optimal point of view SWTOR is a failed experiment. However it has his moments and anybody who can relate with one of SWTORs features is going to have its fun in here. No you're not. you only assume someting, that is not to be found in here. Well, not the way any classical MMO player would like. You missunderstodd again. BioWare products are known for great and intense storyplots. This feature is well known and beloved by any RP PC gamer. KofFE is finally some kind of "going back to the roots" of BioWare. SWTOR was meant to be a true mmoRPG. But I remind you, this experiment failed for reasons. So, yes, KotFE is well recieved by any RP PC gamer in here. And yes, most of the true incarante MMO players are a little pissed of the actual sattus quo. Pretty much yes! The MMO features in here are only gereric stuff we can get anywhere else in a better way. Most of us are for the typical reasons here: Star Wars, BioWare, Story, socialising, Lightswords, Period! Nobody is saying that. However those features are in here not the main reason to be. Then you are missing the point. With those "fit to word level" and redo hero missions for reasons, is keeiping the levelcap player at bay for the most time I've ever encounterd in any other MMO I've played yet, ...an belive me, I played a lot. Ah, Lana, ...the typical grey Force user buargh coming from the twisted minds of those evil Sith Lords calling themselves BioWare developers. ...Still, ...it's fun enough to go with this nonsense and have a nice time. Actually the one who is confused is you. Most of us know the failures of this game. And many of us know to devide between storyplot and mmo features in here. You don't tell, Jack! The last quote is all about "yak-yak-yak!" What you want is definetely not SWTOR but something that is not around anymore. There are no real MMO's out there that are mainly based on MMO features. And I'm not takling about P2P asia grinder. But yes, those are the only MMo's out there left, where you can mainly gain your pure MMO experience. So, either you like swinging your lightsword in here, or you don't, and then it is quite clear, you don't like the game design BioWare set for SWTOR at all.
  23. But what is your impression about this? I really want to know how others think about this. Forget my opinion, this was not the question, nor a whine. It isn't there to gain simpathy. It is just my opionion. This shouldn't influence any of yours.
  24. I understand what the dev's were trying to do, and at some point I agree. But when they toss us into a epic story, I want to have an Avatar who insinuates "heck, I am epic and up to the task" not some, "HEEEEEEELP!!!! MEDIC!! HEEELP! Companion go get him for me! Rip him apart for me, while I hide here under this rock. ...Prettty please?" Going again back to the Arkann Duell. This has to be the Duell of 2 of the most powerfull and cunning beeings around. My avatar then was the Wrath of the Empire. The one who influenced the war on the Sith side. And he is a very strong force wielder. And Arkann, the son of the Emperor. Also one of the most vicious and potent force wielder. Both are masters in lightsabertechniques. During the mechanics, I can keep him easyly at bay. But during the cutscenes, ...HK has to sacrifice himself and the Emperor has to take over to gain the upper hand.....Heck I had Arkann easily! No need for any of those two bozos to toss in. ...And who was at the end the hero? HK sacrificed himself, the Emperor used his force and I was there as well doing stuff, like .... don't know, crying like a baby.... Were was my part in this? Heck, am I no f***ing hero?
