  1. Why does a brand new player need money or is affected by inflation? Consumables don't matter outside of endgame. You get plenty of +25% XP boosts from class quests. Speeders are dirt cheap now, purchasing one shouldn't be an issue. You don't spend any money on training. You can sell low value items on the GTN for absurd amounts relative to in game gold sinks. You won't have Legacy bonuses unlocked from the start you literally don't need credits for them yet. If you're a sub you get enough cartel coins per month to purchase and sell a cartel pack each month...I think. These sell for $200mil+ easily which should more than cover fully unlocking a Stronghold. You can probably sell mats from grade 4 and up for far more than the mission costs since people still use them for crafting Invasion Forces and Dark Projects. Yes, you can't buy whatever vanity item you want and you can't pick up legendary augments if you're poor...but that's always been the case.
  2. It was an absolutely absurd stealth nerf. I don't know why anyone is defending it. Bioware acted as if they wanted feedback and then proceeded to nerf Blade of the Elements on patch day without ever revealing their intentions. It is absolutely disgusting behavior and it's fairly obvious they didn't reveal it because they would obviously get backlash.
  3. Absolutely garbage change that completely ruins the playstyle. The numbers weren't even that good. My Marauder and Assassin are the same gear level and Carnage was already better on ST and much better on AoE. It makes no sense to me whatsoever.
  4. These dev decisions pretty much sum up why I sub for 1 month out of the year.
  5. The bigger issue to me is that while ST puts up good numbers the playstyle feels awful compared to SotR era Carnage/Combat. Also, AoE feels gimpy as hell compared to pretty much every other class/spec I've played. Even /w Ferocity/Precision our cleave attack feels like it does next to nothing and Lance/Gore needing to be lined up is just...inconsistent.
  6. I don't understand how MM FPs can be fun when they're the same FPs we've had access to for YEARS.
  7. Leveling up my Juggernaut/Assassin in easy mode FPs. Get Nathema Conspiracy at 79. I did this one like once back when it was new content and I only vaguely remember it...the only reason I know I did it at all was because I had the final boss decoration unlocked. One Assassin leaves a couple minutes in because a Sorceror wouldn't let him stealth to the first boss for some sort of trickery I know nothing about. Kill first boss easy peasy. Wipe on second boss because me and the Sorceror didn't know to hide behind probes. Almost wipe again because we're accidently killing probes...but c'mon, they only have 80-90k HP. Mercenary that knows the FP asks me and Sorceror if we've done it. We both say we've done it solo. He promptly peaces out. We get to the final (or so I thought) boss easily and it's not remotely a problem so IDK what was wrong with that Mercenary. Final boss pops out and the Sorc and I die to the add's HP debuff. Sorc peaces out. I refuse to acquiesce and end up soloing the end boss. 😛 TLDR: People are elitist jerks even in Veteran FPs in a dying game.
  8. This is more for anyone uninformed coming in here confused about the 80% crit rate as Carnage/Combat. OF COURSE THE CRIT RATE IS GOING TO BE EXCESSIVELY HIGH ON EVERY PARSE Swiftness gives +25% crit rate (5 stacks of 5% each time you crit). One primary damage source is an autocrit. DB for Marauders, I think Clashing Blast for Sentinels? You can get a flat +20% crit rate for the filler ability via talents. Shard of Mortis is listed as the go to tactical. Filler now gives +25% crit rate stacking up to 3 times. With 5 stacks of Swiftness, even in bad gear, you're looking at a 40-45% crit rate and Shard push that up to 65/90/115.
  9. I just had a game with 3 solo kills and 1 death (at the very start) as freaking Carnage. I only die if I kamikaze stuff OR if our team is hopelessly overwhelmed. Mara is in a really good spot right now.
  10. I just want a female undercut/mohawk hairstyle that doesn't suck...
  11. I pull A LOT of damage as Watchman. Probably most effective spec for me. Fury/Concentration feel inferior to Focus/Rage.
  12. IIRC the old set bonus is supposedly superior for them and Lightning could use a 3-5% DPS buff to be on par with other specs in HM Ops.
