  1. and what is this PVE reward that you are talking about?
  2. What seems 'circular and strange reasoning' is that you say in one breath In other words I believe you mean that you have a right to play all aspects of this game in the way you want to and not how the devs have developed it. Instead of thinking 'hey maybe the Devs didn't build this content for me because in involves PVP you insist 'I want to do it my way.' Your whole arguement seems to be on a narrow band that a quest that is not 'kill someone from the other faction' is not a PvP quest, narrow thinking at it's best methinks.
  3. Please don't confuse things. Yes if your account was merged with 100 characters you can probably have 100 in your legacy, but if you are starting on a new server, or like most people have less than 22 on one server, you cannot go above that figure.
  4. As a subscriber this would probably make me go F2P as it would be providing exclusive features to non-subscribers. On the idea itself yes it would be great, however the current ability to send stuff across faction is more than some MMO's allow so I'm happy with how it is now to be honest.
  5. Just so you know it's:- Armormech Cybertech Synthweaving for strength based armour It woulds seem better if luxury cloth came from treasure hunting, instead of those lock boxes (that could be part of the slicing rewards but it is what it is.
  6. I think you meant 3 crafting skills, but whatever.
  7. The issue is that there are two types of metals in UWT metals and fabrics whilst armstech only has one, that is all. Bioanalysis/scavanging have a slightly different issue where you can send your companions out and still get the wrong components. Suggesting it is not random is just wrong, in my opinion. If people want to complain about fairness then do that but at least complain about the right thing. On your second point - space commendations and the GTN are your friend for exotic materials, so no you don't have to raid for them
  8. If the table is only refreshed in the grade that you select an item it can happen quite quickly. Do you know that it recycles all 36 when you do one? It is my understanding that the only way to recycle all 36 is via a re-load.
  9. I do understand your point, I disagree with it. If you look at the numbers there is no way that a specific person should ever win the lottery jackpot but someone always has to, random things happen. In WoW I've seen threads where people have run content for that specific item that never drops way more times than would be statistically valid for the drop, whilst others get it straight away. Randomness occasionally produces these results, that's all.
  10. In some other games rare materials are world drops or only attainable via raiding, running FP's. I'd say being able to collect them via missions is a hugh step forward and having to occasionally run a reloading screen to get what you want is not an issue.
  11. Not OP's though so what they are saying is don't expect any new OP's in RotHC, something that I agree with.
  12. I'm not suggesting that here because it was suggested in threads about the HK-51 questline that perhaps it should be instanced for us solo players that don't want to group, however many PVE people were just, stuff you suck it up and group, some of them that are posting here were saying that. Well what goes around comes around karma is a b***h. Well don't expect me to support their cause if they trash other suggestions. Frankly all I am seeing in this thread is one section of the base expecting to be able to do all events their way. There are many people playing this game in various styles yet PvPers weren't shouting, as far as I know, at the last Gree event where there was no PvP. Similarly there are apparently 4 reputations, only one of which seems to be affected by PvP, but that's not enough for PVE people. Sad that they believe that their way is the only way to play an MMO, or at least the only area in which a game should be developed.
  13. I'll just re-post AboB's comment here as it fits in more logically than where it was originally.
  14. It's called a PvE server because apart from a few places you cannot engage in PvP involuntarily, the western shelf being one of them.
  15. So why even make the comment when these guys are talking about the western shelf area? No one is suggesting you will get auto flagged, or have to PvP in the eastern side.
  16. and you will be no more of a loss to your server than I was when I chose not to participate in the Rakgoul event.
  17. Yes there are currently dailies in Ilum, except of course that is not in the auto flag area so your point is moot. Just because people are calling click quests PVE doesn't make them so. If they are in an auto flag area in my opinion these are PvP quests, and this is said by someone who doesn't PvP in this game and rarely goes to Ilum.
  18. I started on a new server with amercenary who is now lvl 35 and has around 125k or so on Taris. He makes his own armour, up to blue quality and for his companion and it is pretty up to date except for my boots (29) that will get replaced at 37. I do nearly all the quests and H2+ but rarely the bonus series but no WZ/FP's I vendor everything I pick up unless it is a BOE orange/purple/a schematic I don't hold and usually pick commendation rewards unless the reward is a weapon. This way when I reach the planet level (example 35 for Taris) I use my commendations on my orange gear. People say put greens/blues on the GTN but I cannot be bothered. I've all my skills and never bought/sold anything from the GTN except for an adaptive speeder at level 15 for 8K. I don't unlock any legacies apart from reducing the 'away time' for my companions welling greys and have yet to buy any inventory space. I do however have the account wide unlock on my cargo bay so have 2 partitions of space there. You don't need that amount of endurance/armour for dailies. I used to run the Section-X dailies on my gunslinger with 17k and using a healer never died doing any of the soloing dailies. You need to use your damage reduction/interupts/stuns when necessary but with a healer (your juggernaut has Quinn) you should have little problem. Just watch out for wandering elites and you should be ok.
  19. I wouldn't, would for account wide but legacy wide is too restrictive in my opinion.
  20. Sure if I don't buy the expansion as after that all content patches will be aimed at 55's, so why pay a sub?
  21. I agree with the sentiment, especially with the free tionese that hurt me. I have re-engineered all my 126 gear on most characters and have no interest in moving on further into HM FP's/Ops so when I've finished levelling alts that will be me done until I can level again. RotHC was a perfect opportunity for BW to increase crafting to 450 but they appear to be showing no interest in this at all. If that is the case I'll not be purchasing it and SWTOR will fade away into my memories as a great gaming experience that was cut short too soon.
  22. Yeah didn't say that last August, nice try though
  23. Actually the Op did not say whether they were still subscribed in August, when they were offered. At that time the communications from EA did say that to get cartel coins from August onwards you had to be subscribed at launch of F2P, but they specifically did not say, for coins up to the end of July 12, that a subscription was required. This difference in words did in fact make people think they did not have to be subscribed to get them. A good example of misleading/unclear communication.
