  1. Sounds like you need to learn to play instead. They were OP before 1.2 in the hands of a competent player. 1.2 just made them FOTM.
  2. Operative healing > * Sorcs have the most bandwidth in healing, but they are extremely squishy and extremely easy to shut down with interrupts. Bandwidth doesnt matter against competent enemies, only throughput. Operative have the best total throughput as a healer in the game.

    Healing Highscores

Sure light on the medals there considering you said it was post 1.2 ...especially the sorcerer with over 400k healing and only 4 medals. Anyways, grats on being left to heal an entire match. Thats how I broke 1 million several times on my sorc as well. Those situations really let you take advantage of having the highest healing bandwidth. Too bad competent enemies make the actual throughput laughable compared to my op

A good player isn't going to waste an interrupt on the wrong spells. Try fighting other premades that know what they are doing instead of steamrolling puggers
  5. I said what I did based on what YOU said. Competent opponents will shut a sorc healer down.
  6. You are going to be disappointed if you are rolling a sorcerer for rated warzones. You will be facing opponents that more than likely know how to play the game and will use interrupts and CC to completely shut you down.
  7. No. Assisting DPS > Assisting healing Why? A 100 healers cant keep someone alive when they die in a single GCD.
  8. No.... Op > Merc > Sorc Bottom line against competent enemies for several reasons. I play all three healers, so I have a pretty good idea.
  9. You are sort of right. A sorc still has the highest healing bandwidth or in other words, the highest healing potential. However, they have the absolute lowest throughput when fighting against competent players. There is no advantage to playing a sorc against competent enemies because you are too squishy and to susceptible to interrupts. In other words, a wasted slot.
  10. Only considered that by bad players. My operative was the best healer against skilled enemies pre 1.2 and even more so post 1.2. My sorcerer is worthless against anyone except for random bad players in a pug. My mercenary is at least viable as a healer, but I will play my operative over it any day of the week.
  11. You want fighting balanced around rated 8v8 only, without consideration to the average player pugging it up. Not very reasonable or realistic. Not only that, you obviously are lacking for any decent competition because I KNOW the people I play with eat sorcerer/sage healers for lunch because they simply don't allow them to cast. I understand why your perspective is skewed because you play an operative against crappy players. I have a sorc, merc, AND operative healer. My operative has way more defense, way less susceptibility to interrupts... at the sacrifice of a little healing bandwidth. HOWEVER, my actual healing throughput is much much high against competent opponents.

Easy to put up numbers when left alone. Not so easy when the other team realizes your are a healer and interrupts all of your worthwhile heals. Big difference between putting up 700k against clueless scrubs and putting up 700k against competent enemies.

    Confused Marauder

The only people who thought they were bad three months ago were people that were clueless about how to play the class. Competent mauraders were a wrecking ball then and pretty OP. The biggest difference now is that many other classes have gotten weaker, ttk has gotten faster, and healing has gotten far weaker in 2 of the 3 healing classes... meanwhile the level of power of Mauraders has stayed mostly the same.

    Confused Marauder

This is the truth. Good players and competitive teams knew this a LONG time ago.
  15. Since you play a maurader, you should know how easy it is for you to shut a sorc/sage healer down. right? Any healer can do well when left alone. However, healers vary widely in their ability to function when they aren't left alone. Your maurader cant do much to my operative, but if you were a good maurader, you would be able to shut down my sorcerer.
  16. The problem is that a class can't be viable only in premades. Also, there is a huge difference between an operative and sorc healer, and if you were a skilled player, you would realize that. Also, you would know that against any real competition, that sorc healer is going to be worthless due to the competent player on the other team owning him with interrupts.
  17. Exactly. The only one who can honestly know what a record is anyways would be BW. The highest healing total I've ever seen was 1.2 million in voidstar by a sorcerer.... and that was with me healing for 800k in the same match on his team.
  18. No record, unless you are referring to a personal record. My highest on Alderaan pre 1.2 was on my sorcerer for a shade over a million. It took the game ending in a score of 5-0 and the center point being contested the entire time as well as zero deaths on my part. Pretty much a perfect storm of situational events. Post 1.2, I shelved my sorcerer because healing with it is not enjoyable. I can't output the same numbers on my operative due to less ae healing ability, BUT I still managed to due 797k in a void star.
  19. That is called Bioware 'balance'. They nerf sorc healers into the ground and then nerf operative dps viability forcing them into healing roles to replace the void left by sorcs. Heh
  20. As a healer, and I play all three healing class/specs, an operative is hands down the best healer of the three currently. I can't speak for DPSing though, I rolled my operative to be a healer.
  21. Well you can just as easily say that doing DPS while moving is just as silly. On a side note, the insta heal consumes TA until the operative is below 30%. Use that as you will to your advantage
  22. Well overrated vs. Ops ...not overrated against sage/sorcs because it completely owns them. Heh Edit: Glad I am not the only one that understands Ops are the best PvP healers.

    Healers

Please DO read through my post history. I know exactly what I am talking about, and all the ad hom attacks in the world wont change it. You want to attack something, attack the points I made instead of your lameass attempt to attack me instead. Edit: Of course I am not expecting it, because it is very obvious that you have no clue about PvP.

Lack of end game content, completely failure of the engine to manage open world PvP, and failed oRvR design/concept/implementation.
