  1. Meh, I like it. It is not amazing, but it's a fun side activity. I think to many people expected it to be the second coming of SWTOR, which was it's downfall. Instead, it's a way to personalize all your character's experiences with linked perks, whether it has a mechanical use or if it is solely vanity. It's cool if you see it as just another form of progression. Cooler than grinding reputation or renown.
  2. I enjoy the game as well, quite a bit. I love the stories (Good thing to, I am an altaholic), the lore and all the massive, diverse worlds to discover. It has all the makeups of a really good RPG, but what MAKES SWTOR is the fact that after all that Bioware-style RPG stuff, I can team up with some friends and do some instances and raid, or bash some heads in warzones, putting it into an entirely different perspective. This is the essential Bioware RPG where I can do MMO activities like crafting, high end PvE and PvP and socialize, all in that cutscene driven, voice acted Bioware style. It is sadly also the game's downfall, for some. Some wanted only that Bioware RPG, KotOR 3, which they did. But they had to pay monthly, and for those who wanted a great MMO with every MMO element imaginable and everything polished, it suffers in development because catering must be made to SP-RPG players. One side dominates, the other suffers. While I personally enjoy this hybrid in which I live out my own fantasy then play some MMO endgame (infused with that Bioware touch, I iterate) I know if the SP-RPG did not have the MMO, or vice versa, it would be a lackluster game. That is why the game is hated.
  3. I think the idea is that that balanced population is what they want from transfers. Also, any news on new content. I know it will be slim and light, but at least add a new Flashpoint, warzone and/or operation.
  4. Well one of the Legacy Perks coming is a respec ability on the field, thus you can select to change one of all the three trees in the middle of whatever. Just as good a respec, and gives more customability. The only problem is that there is no way to switch a preset tree.
  5. That is why I like the game. Am I the only one who still wants a traditional MMO? It's an enjoyable game I feel, and one that, if they get transfers and merges on, can get really popular really quickly. First let them worry about quality of life features., then more variety and spice, and then big elitist content (yes I am level 50 and have been enjoying endgame PvE).
  6. Alright, I have created this thread because I am sick of the negativity. So simple, what has been keeping you playing? What features do you like? It could be a massive overarching feature of the game to the smallest thing. For me it is.... 1. Endgame PvE. I adore WoW PvE endgame, it is structured, tactical and exciting. SWTOR is no different in that aspect, but is a step up for a couple of reasons. For one, the environments are more diverse and interesting, and the main reason being that story is infused into every Flashpoint and Operation. It is sort of the like action packed episodes of a series. From rakghoul outbreaks, rebellions, and mysterious vaults, SWTOR PvE endgame keeps more interested in a single Flashpoints or Operation than WoW did in five. 2. Space Combat. Odd, but it is a fun variant on things, and is pretty rewarding. 3. Modding system. Thank you for letting me wear what I want (appearence tabs would be better, but meh) and still be able to look good! 4. Legacy system. It is not the second coming of SWTOR, but coming from an altaholic, it is really cool. I am working towards getting the ship unlocks . 5. Codex. The fact the so much information exists within the game world is astouding, it is a really good way to present the universe and the game. *Character BLUEFROMOON, don't comment if it is about ESO.
  7. NO ONE liked the prequels. They are universally hated by fans. Look up a review from a you tube or blog user, the response was mostly negative.
  8. What legacy additions, tweaks, and innovations can we expect in 1.3? More perks? Some light on how the single-character perks will work in correlation to the global unlocks?
  9. I am fed up with the negativity, how about a thread about what keeps you playing in SWTOR? Let's for once not talk about Ilum, or server issues or lack of variety, what is GOOD in SWTOR?
  10. I have seen you everywhere. Are you a Bethesda employee or something?
  11. I don't space at all, except for dailies or when group members ask me. I still watch the Flashpoints, Operations and alt stories. I even watch the warzone cutscenes. It makes the game, it gives context and develops your role and character in the galaxy with almost every choice.
  12. What:eek:? Someone not blindingly faithful or hateful to SWTOR, but instead giving rational views, concerns and questions? HUH?1??!??1!!!1
  13. This is sad and all but...my server is still standard and my guild is growing so...I don't really give a damn. Good day !
  14. I dunno, I would rather have an MMO be insanely challenging than a cakewalk. I haven't tried Denova yet, but it's probably better than...*shudders*....Naxxramas in WotLK...
  15. How do FP's and Ops suck (I can see PvP, but noy PvE). And you get the high end mods from operations, you know that right? In regards to the OP, those are some pretty cool ideas, and another card game would be Pazaak. Also, I would like it if the capitol worlds and the promenade were viable end game hubs with a channel all linked to the Fleet.
  16. I do like SWTOR but...your quote is awesome dude
  17. I actually do not think player bounties would work in this game.
  18. Wait until 1.3, and if that is to soon 1.4 (they apparently have big plans for it). If you found it boring wait for the quality of life features to come so you can enjoy the content.
  19. Fluff, believe it or not, keeps people around longer. Unbelievable, check the achievement grinders in WoW.
  20. 1. Nice job nitpicking. 2. We don't know this, maybe or maybe not when it comes to player feedback. Do they have to respnd "We'll implement this immediately! Thanks for your perfect opinion player person!" to every idea? They have a podcast and a Q&A as a main way to see interaction with the community, do we have to see Bioware yellow text on every thread that predicts the doom of the game anyway? They may or may not, you don't know and I don't know, and people do use the PTS. And if they are lowly populated, how is Bioware going to get feedback in the first place?
  21. When this game was releasing, I was sadly under the impression that you had to find these stories, and that can still be implemented. Whether or not I go out of my way to go into this cave no one would think anything of would decide if I experience a really cool story arc, not just some side mission. It would be cool if you had to explore to find the story, to have more challenging world bosses and to go out of your way to find them, and make them rare spawns. It's way to organized now, I would like that it was only the class story and a planet arc to guide you, and the rest of the story arcs you had to find. Hell, why not put in flashpoints and operations areas that gain bonus to exclusive cutscenes and conversations, and the group would really have to try to find it. The story is given to us hand and foot, and want to reach out with it and explore parts I normally wouldn't with these stories.
  22. So my conclusion on this thread, people like the game there are just to many servers. Bioware, give us the freaking server merges and transfers already!
