  1. Your not a "nobody". Empire: IA- Most deadly, well trained agent in Imperial History SW- Wrath of the Emperor, member of the Dark Council SI- Leader of the Dark Council, most powerful Sith ever BH- Winner of the Great Hunt, Murderer of the Supreme Champion, Mandalorian Republic: JK- More powerful then Revan, that is for sure. JC- Member of the Council, Grand Master Jedi Trooper- Major of the Republic's Most Elite Squad Smuggler- Most successful crime lord in the galaxy
  2. Sounds like it would make sense. Maybe something about Makeb or the Dread Lord story upcoming.
  3. The Item Modification Gods. Praise them
  4. Its cool to see someone to be optimistic. However, forums are used for constructive criticism (no that does not mean mindless hatred). Praise (and mindless hate, I iterate) is done in an email, this is an area for group discussion, not much room for commendation.
  5. There is no comparison. They are two completely different games. SWTOR is based on a solo adventure with character, world and story development (despite that it's smoke and mirrors), with structured multiplayer instances. SWG was about doing whatever you want in a massive universe. SWTOR is about progress, and SWG is about filling in the blanks in the map.
  6. They are gained at the end of the Belsavis world arc. They are one of the most popular missions in the game and with reason. To what exactly the Dread Lords themselves are, they are an ancient group of sith that use the force to inspire fear among their victims.
  7. Now many of the details made by "Torhead's" leaks have been verified, but nothing has been said about the 'Dread Lords'. Though in the E3 trailer we see right before they announce the space combat mission a jedi battling some Dread Lords in a Belsavis Prison. Also, new screen shots and artwork suggest a new narrative in Belsavis in a daily zone, perhaps the one's originally suggested in Torhead. Also, Bioware has mentioned a flashpoint coming with NO combat, being more so an adventure game. This leaves me wondering, will this supposed story arc and daily zone in Belsavis lead to this flashpoint? And perhaps, link to the "Terrors From Beyond" operation, with the Dread Lords being the ones to open these 'Stargates' and endangering the Gree, like Torhead suggests? And perhaps, with the mystical fantasy-esque look of the coming warzone, that perhaps takes place in the middle of this? P.S. If this is the case, these coming updates will contain three new linked stories, the one of HK-57, the Makeb-Hutt Cartel storyline and the Dread Lords & Gree storyline. P.S.S. Spare me the nonsense idiotic 'fanbois' and mindless haters.
  8. To summarize the endgame in SWTOR right now: - Social Ranking - Valor Ranking - Morality - Social Item Collecting - Legacy Levels and Unlocks - Four war-zones - Three raids, two with three modes and one with two modes - Datacron and Lore Object Hunting - Eight Hardmode Flashpoints - Crew Skills - Three Space Combat Missions - Three sets of daily missions - Bonus Series - Role an alt
  9. I like the idea of them making this a hybrid MMO. The new Nightmare Mode, "Terror From Beyond" and flash-point that will have A LOT of story (check link from a previous post) will definitely bolster the PvE content with more challenge and new lore. PvP will have MANY obstacles and the 'challenge' is not fixed like in a high end PvE instance, and it hardly has as much lore and storyline as the flash-points and operations. Here is hoping they balance it well and can make the PvP WITHOUT fixed challenges or story.
  10. Short and sweet, what do you want from it? We already know about a warzone, operations, a "hardcore" mode, a new world arc, a new space mission and companion, what else do you want or speculate from this upcoming expansion?
  11. I am actually hoping they add the "hardcore" nightmare mode operations (and perhaps "hardcore" hardmode flashpoints) to make them scale to max level.
  12. After seeing the E3 announcement for the next expansion in SWTOR, I can can definitely say I am excited. A new operation, new stories, new locations, new lore and more combat in SPAAAACE is definitely cool looking. I am especially excited to see new flashpoints coming up. Here is what I am able to gather. - Makeb and the story. This is clear as day a continuation of the story that started in Karraga's Palace, and it will be interesting to see now a third side in this war. - New Operations may have something to do with the Dread Lords, or at least the Sith themselves. It was very fantasy-esque and colourful, so it may possibly take place in a nightmare induced by the Dread Lords. - Improved Cutscene capabilities. We saw clear as day how beautiful those cutscenes were. Some may say it's enhanced because it is an advertisement (which it most likely is) we can't deny they are massive improvement from previous trailers, which were advertisements as well. - Space Missions. Does not look major by any means, but definitely seems like it requires more movement and has more interesting environments. - New Warzones. When most warzones are shown, people are normally seen carrying or capturing the objective, but this is not the case here. I speculate it is the game's first deathmatch. - New companion. Sorry to be a kill joy, but this is not Revan's. And that is not even a speculation. Also, I believe that because he is an HK unit and global, he will have a customizable play style.
  13. Story driven does not necessarily mean CHOICE. Choice = Bioware, Choice does not equal story. Story is just writing that is presented, that is what SWTOR does, WoW does not present it's writing. Of all the things to criticize in this game, you criticize the personal stories? It's not a 'newbie jedi,' look into the story and you find this particular jedi is one of the most powerful of his time, and despite Revan being ******, this particular jedi is objectively more powerful. The Foundry did not conclude Revan's story, he did not die, a merely disappeared. This is a SPIRIT sequel, not a direct one.
  14. 1. There are not and have never really been game crippling bugs. Oh no, my eyes are silver! 2. Okay, but they are trying to advertise their game, not downplay it. They want to keep you in suspense and hype. 3. Hour long wait for me. Not terribly long. 4. Said that before ^ 5. To many loading screens, yes, but the immersion in this game is what it's been praised for...
  15. ^ Perhaps the best post I have seen in a long time. Shows both sides of the argument well without being fanboish or a rabid hater. Amen to you brother, amen to you
  16. What are the top things you can say about SWTOR? Or perhaps, top five reasons you quit? I am still playing, so to start this off I will post my top ten reasons why I still play SWTOR and am interested in it, though NOT necessarily in this order. - Music. It's elegant, plentiful and enhances the narrative. - Massive, diverse environments. The SWTOR planets themselves I find very unique in art style, architecture, color scheme, mass, setup and above all, story and lore. - Datacrons. I just find these really entertaining to find. - The Codex. I love the fact that there is just this massive encyclopedia of lore for the game, a rumoured 1-2 novels worth. - Class Story: We knew this was coming. All the stories are very interesting to me and fufill the star wars archetypes, and it really makes you feel unstoppable, and one man army. - Flashpoints and Operations. I like that these are fun, have variety, have challenge AND are infused with Bioware storytelling, lore and environments. If you WoW PvE, you will like SWTOR PvE., as it is often more in-depth and has a greater feeling of peril. - Crew Skills. Grind free crafting. Awesome. - Space Combat. I love it, I dont know why, I just do. - Overall Presentation of the Star Wars Universe. If there is but one thing this game does right, it is capturing the Star Wars feel. Great, massive and diverse world, interesting (though cliche) characters, tons of lore to explore and a real sense of galactic conflict. Its a personalized Star Wars saga with the class stories and world arc and RPG style lore, but at the end of the day you can join with friends and have fun in a perilous, exciting flashpoints and operations, or bashing some heads in some fully voice acted warzones Things that ARE wrong with this game: - HORRIBLE character customization - Though fun, flashpoints and ops must progressively attain more difficulty, - Lack of PvP endgames. I enjoy warzones, but four is not enough for hardcore PvPers. - Lack of variety in terms of housing and minigames (though space combat is a step in the right direction). - Needs MORE DIVERGING stories in flashpoints and world arcs - No hobbies or alternate professions outside of space combat - Population imbalance, but you knew that. Otherwise, I really love SWTOR and think Bioware should proceed to not keep up the good work, but proceed to do better to make the content better with every update, to be progressive and learn.
  17. - Expansion of the Legacy System - More Warzones - Ranked Warzones that have their difficulty increased from regular mode. - Warzone Teams - More developed dedicated open world PvP zones - More rewards for participating in open world PvP (Valor, Merc Comms, etc.) - More flashpoints. Give them all a level 50 hardmode and link them in a singular storyline. - Revamp all lower level flashpoints with a level 50 hardmode to spice things up. - At least one new operation. - New, long single player story that could involve diplomacy and the state of the war or Revan. - Update the Promenade, Dromund Kaas and Coruscant to be viable level 50 hubs, with a linked capital channel. - Cross server warzone queueing - Server Merges - SOMETHING involving Darth Malgus - A world event that has to do with the new single player instanced story mentioned before - Make more variety. Tower defense, holo-chess, pazaak, sabaac, brawl areas like DDO, pod racing and score in space combat. - Class daily missions - More IMPACTFUL choices in stories and flashpoints. - Character Re-Customization - Loop Music option One can dream can't he...
  18. I know it's odd, especially because Star Wars Clone Wars Adventures is a kid's browser game, but I am honest. It should take some of the better mini-game ideas from it and build upon that, such as speeder racing, cantina games, tower defense and score meters in space combat. Just a thought that would give SWTOR some variety, they already have space combat.
  19. Ahhh now I get it. Lol +1 for the OP
  20. I haven't been able to put down the game since I got it on Christmas. I love the storytelling and I am a complete altaholic. I enjoy all the unique systems this game has to offer and I enjoy the endgame. However my 50 is currently not getting much done, waiting for transfers. See You In 1.3 on The Fatman, having fun with the LFG tool accessing the endgame after ages of dead server time. Thank you Bioware, can't wait for Allies!
  21. The only thing really breaking the game right now is server population issues. At least this patch fixes half the problem. I just hope the price is reasonable. Server merges next please, and get ranked warzones worked in to quell the PvPers for a while. I would also like to see what content itself will be added to 1.3, as in operations, flashpoints, etc. I know it won't be high amount of content, but if there is none whatsoever I would be appalled. Looking foward to it though, the accessibility of the content, quality of life in the itemization and next evolution of the Legacy system.
  22. 1. Yes it will, I can at least give you that. 2. No idea. I hope they give a short period of free transfers.
