  1. lmao, if it makes it so I actually have to look at my force bar on my sorc then good. Sorc was (both in pvp and pve) OP as ****. Sorc wasn't even close to my favourite class to play, but I had one because I made one years ago as a healer and just never played it, then tried it since it was my highest level imp toon. Raiding (both sm and hm), reg pvp, and ranked pvp had essentially no risk involved in regards to managing force. In any kind of pvp I could just ignore my force bar and pretend it didnt exist. In raids I just had to use consuming darkness every now and then to make sure I didn't fall below 90% force. TL;DR: sorcs were OP, are probably still OP, the OP is a whiner, sorcs need more nerfs PS on balancing the healing classes: first mercs: I see the idea of swapping rocket out/phasewalk between mercs and sorcs.....how about instead we just take phase walk from sorcs and give it to merc, and leave merc with rocket out. Sorcs have force barrier. They have static shield. They can get damage reduction on cloud mind. They have an instant self heal that can hit for almost 30k. This is more than enough to get through anything, give mercs more utility and reduce the heat cost of rapid scan (for all specs, not just healer). Give merc healers a passive that gives them extra heat loss when they use the basic healing bullets. for operatives: make it so that for every stack of the kolto probe on an enemy all your heals deal 3-6% more healing (so with 2 stacks, 6-12%), as well as boosting the output of ops big heals a bit. This will fix the main problem with op healers, their lack of burst. If you want to compensate this, reduce their dot healing a small amount. I wouldn't increase their burst too much, as it would make all the healers too similar, but they do need their burst to increase a bit.
  2. From what I remember, this is exactly what happened to heals/tanks in update 2.0, and that is basically exactly what happened.
  3. If I lose my legacy name I will flip my ****. It is Griller, which is my last name, and the only name I could think of that I liked....

    I miss Huttball

I love NC CW and HB, and VS is only good for fresh 50s defending, otherwise it is a crappy zergfest. I would pick NC and CW 40% of the time each, and HB 20% of the time, I would pick HB more , but pugging it makes it suck half the time bcause most ppl dont even try.
  7. I read that entire article and I will agree that it is quite well written, but it is filled with writings that are more from a hardcore POV, such as the people being irritated by your ability to just by the recruit gear and BM gear being easier to obtain. I think that this is only a problem for those who don't want to face people who are just as geared as them and have a chance of winning. Most people should be overjoyed that you can now compete properly in PvP instea of having GvG. Over all I would have to say that what he says isn't true, except for the fact that they pretty much made playiing a healer like bashing your head into a brick wall, and that the new WZ reward system (needing atleast 3 medals and your team to do well) is very poorly designed

  9. You realize that in guild wars 2 there will be no healing classes right?
  10. LoL.....although I wouldn't be surprised. My main is a guardian (yes I play an op) and from the beginning, even when there was the 10-50 bracket I never really had a problem with ops. If they caught me off-guard they would annihalate me, which is what I view as what an op should be doing, but if I reacted quickly enough I could pop defensive CDs and survive long enough for back up to arrive to help me with the op. I expect them to nerf ops again in 1.3 just b/c of how they have treated the class already, and I really think that they need to not allow the person who has been working on the op class to ever work on a stealth burst class ever again.
  11. So earlier today I was doing the corellia dailies and I managed to get a group together for the heroic 4, unluckily there were only 3 of us, and none of us were healers. Luckily someone had a cent geared healer companion so we were good on that aspect. We managed to fight our way through this quest, using very liberal amounts of CC (group comp was guardian tank, sentinel DPS, scoundrel DPS and Doc). We found it was quite challenging and took a bit of skill to run through, which we all thought was fun. However when we got to the boss......holy crap.......that was the best fight I have ever done in any MMO. He would call in airstrikes, throw grenades, toss down DOT mines (interruptable dont worry ) so you actually had to watch what you were doing and make sure you weren't about to be pummeled by some super powerful explosion. All in all this heroic needed teamwork, skill, and thought to complete, which are all good things. If BW can produce more heroics like this I will be very happy to keep running them.
  12. remember that voidstar is the most new-lvl 50 friendly map, as you just have to hit the enemy team once while defending, and being able to kill ppl isnt a requirement for defense.
  13. I agree with this, I only get sick of huttball when I am going on an Imp alt (my main is a guardian) and I run it 5zillion times....then I want to bash my head against a wall......and a huttball arena with pools with sharks with lasers on their heads would be an interesting idea
  14. I want an action figure of Doc....or Kira Carsen (my two fave companions), or my jedi guardian.
  15. I hate Mako......but I wouldnt mind using Doc or Kira Carsen on any of my other toons, cause they are hilarious...especially together.
  16. cool, that's good to know. Thanks.
  17. This sucks for me because I intend to reroll my pureblood mara into a miralukan mara come 1.2, and ppl will think I am hopping on the bandwagon. Also I don't use Watchman/equivalent or focus/rage for my sent (only lvl 23) or my mara (lvl 10), I use combat. Yeah let that sink in, and I still kick ***. I don't understand the hate for combat tree, I find it to be good enough, maybe not as good as the other trees, but I prefer it to the incredible redundancy of focus/rage (I tried it on my 50 guardian, normally tank spec, I was bored to tears in 10 minutes from me using 7 different abilities), and I dont want to have to rely on DOTs to do well (à la Watchman/equivalent). So combat tree is the tree for me. And when they finally buff this tree, which is the weakest based on the opinions of everyone else, I will be laughing, because I know how to use the tree unlike everyone else.
  18. 1) i just got to lvl 50 with my guardian so I am not properly geared 2) When someone gives you a reasoned, well thought out response you should not just dismiss it by saying the person sucks, it proves your ineptitude at conversing with other humans 3) I gave you plenty of valid reasons why they aren't OP 4) melees getting beaten by ranged classes is a given, seeing as how they are mostly ranged dps, and can kill us as we try to get to you 5) the reason you have acquired so many "silly" messages is that you are not the first to say something like this, and each time somebody says something like this they are proven wrong
  19. I think this game has plenty of humour as it is, although more couldn't hurt. From my sorc (to an imp officer): "I am quite certain I didn't say 'Please expendable worm, tell me about your life.'" Doc the JK healing companion: "Hospitals keep trying to hire me, but I say no, I just LOVE GETTING SHOT AT!" Vette ranged dps companion SW: "Cool, me and my friend the sith. Noone is going to pick on me at school anymore."
  20. So basically you hate agents/scoundrels and warriors/knights and think they are OP, but consider the sorc to be UP? I have a madness sorc, and I have to say they are quite powerful, but he is only lvl 32. On the other hand with my lvl 50 guardian I find that sorcs/sins are too powerful. If you spec into lightning you can get 30% more damage absorbed by the shield, which is quite a bit, and non-heal specced sorcs can still heal for quite a bit, as well as the sorcs having the most utility in game, warriors and knights have one 6 second mez, tank (guardian/jugg) specced warriors/knights have two stuns (hilt strike, and specced non-channeled force stasis), but vengeance/vigilance (guardian/jugg) only has one 4 second immunity to CC after leaping, and focus/whatever the equivalant is spec doesnt have any such immunity and can only do a lot of dmg with one move every 9-12 seconds (depending on spec). Sprint makes you increase your movement speed by 200% for 2 secs, if this was immune to CC it would be so powerful it would be unbelievable. I do agree that for a time after using the CC breaker you should be immune to other CC, but it should be closer to 3 seconds because 5 seconds would also nerf stuns so much, as most fights in pvp dont last more than 5 seconds, and if they do it is because there are many ppl. PvP is a very fast and furious type of combat. Also making the CD of the CC breaker 30 seconds would break the game, I think they should shorten it to 1-30 or 1-15 so that it isnt too short, and so that guardians with the spec to reduce the CD by 30 seconds dont have an OP CC breaker. Overall I do not think you have experienced enough pvp, Sorcs have enough survivability to easily 1v1 most ppl, and in groups offer enough dmg/healing/utility to make everyone's job easier (except the enemies ), and you have probably been the target of people seeing a sorc and saying "Hm everyone says they are OP, we should all focus them." Always happens to me on my sorc, and it is quite annoying.
  21. try doing your belsavis and ilum pve dailies until you have geared u enough to have around 15k health, that only took me two days, and also just run the ilum pvp dailies and run your warzones and collect armaments, as well as doing the weekly ofcourse, as that one doesnt require you to win. I am still in the process of gearing up my guardian but this is pretty much the method I am doing, except I havent been doing my ilum pvp dailies as I do not have an interest in riding around collecting armaments.
  22. actually by suggesting that you can face off against their team at PAX they will probably be releasing 1.2 before then, as most people don't have characters on the PTS, and they aren't gonna make you play a class/build you are unfamiliar with.
  23. I dislike voidstar a lot, it is a zerg rush. I sort of like huttball....but i hate it when I get it too much (I have 7 imp and 7 rep characters). This map would be the best if it weren't played so much. This is the only map that is very conducive to strategy and teamwork instead of just brute force. I LOVE CIVIL WAR. This map isn't the most strategy intensive, but it still is very fun for me, and every time I see this map's loading screen I become instantly happy.
  24. Yes thank you BW. I have always wanted to be a jedi (since I watched episode 4), and this game has allowed me to pretend to be one. I have 14 characters all above lvl 10, and when you release legacy, and when you make new classes will make many more. Thanks.
