That sums it up nicely!

As someone who's always been much more concerned about leveling too fast rather than too slow I've come to realize that I haven't the faintest idea about increasing leveling speed. I'm using some Major Experience Boost items that I had lying around, but I'm not even sure what kind of content I should do. I know of multiple people who have already completed their 8 50s achievment and stated that they had benn leveling 2 or more 50s a day. My latest alt is lvl 48 now and already has a /played of 17h...so what's the secret?

I've only been through it on my event grinding main..so I just decided on what seemed most beneficial to my alliance. 1. Zakuul: A familiar face for the rebels on Zakuul to rally behind. She may be able to convince many Zakuulan's of Arcann's deviousness and rally support for the alliance. She could become the alliance's Mocking Jay. 2. Imperial: We're at war and an imperial officer with tactical knowledge and possibly some pull with imperial elements that have not yet joined the alliance seemed more useful to me than a politician. 3. Politician: I'm sorry that he didn't make it, but perhaps we can spin a bit of propaganda about it and make him a rupublic hero who made the ultimate sacrifice on the altar of freedom and stuff.

I can only hope that they won't repeat it. The only reason I'm forcing myself through it is to get that final title which might be a rare thing to have in a few years.

Yeah, makes me wish I didn't already have both genders for every class. Not that I have the time to watch the cutscens anyway...

That's the thing I hate most about the event. If I want to stand the slightest chance of obtaining the highest rank before the event ends, I'll be forced to rush through everything. Normally I do all of the quest on any char I level plus every FP and daily area once with one or more bonus series mixed in and a bit of PvP on the side. So doing all of this on my main alone would probably take me 2+ months. I also really hate the idea of creating alts, knowing that I'll have to delete them once they reach 50, but I don't have enough creds to buy 8 multi million character slot unlocks and spending real money just for this purpose is out of the question for me.

Didn't you know? Shortsighted thinking is their speciality. From making it almost impossible to add new classes over the CSM debacle to the latest /facepalm, the whole game is filled with it.

That's what I took away from it and it's quite pitiful IMO. There's no legit reason whatsoever that's preventing them from telling us which type of content is in development right now. It can only mean that it's either just one type(and most likely not an OP) or even none of them. Maybe something new that will be even more faceroll than tactical FPs. In any case, their goal seems to be to press the last few drops of $ out of those who're desperately waiting for new group content.

The sad thing is that as soon as the current staff will have managed to run the game into the ground, EA will more likely just close down the game.

Still haven't decided where to go after this. I already have a WoW subscription and could get more involved over there. Maybe I'll sub to FFXIV again as my second MMO (I'm a strict follower of the rule of two you see:D). Both of them are sub only, so the devs actually have to put out new stuff to keep the players happy instead of just getting creative with monetizing the **** out of things. As for the hypercrates: After they sold a ****load of them because of the crossguard saber, they probably thought that they could charge whatever they wanted for them. I'm 100% sure EA made this decision.

Yep, I'm thinking about leaving as well right now. 1h of mediocre (in comparison to true SP games with true choices and consequences) SP content with nearly no new group content at all just isn't worth 15$ a month anymore. And the only thing they can come up with beside their skytrooper fighting simulator is an event that requires of me to spend CC just to participate and grind every free second I have just to get it done before it finishes. Also making the rewards BoP so you have to spend even more CC to use them on other chars, nerfing heroics and increasing the price of hypercrates at the same time reeks of a desperate cash grab to me. Nevermind the "greatly" reduced character slot unlocks...pathetic.

Are you crazy?! We're getting our 15$ horse armor DLC every month. Isn't that enough?

All true. But with BW things like this just happen way too frequently IMO.

I agree with this. The joke would've been fine if their track record was stellar, but things like this happen all to often with BW and when they release in time, there are often glaringly obvious bugs. Like you, I can't shake the feeling that they don't take these matters seriously at all, when they should be working their asses off to get things fixed like it would be the case in most other software companies.

THIS! But don't get your hopes up. They did release a roadmap once, or rather their own definition of one. To anyone who had seen what a real roadmap looks like in any other MMO, it was a bad joke.

Considering the state SoR was released in, it must've been something way worse than that..

I normally appreciate this kind of thing when it comes to delivering bad news, but only if bad news are an exception and not the norm like they're here.

With everything that's going on right now the first yellow announcement is one of another failure...I don't know whether I shall laugh or cry just now.

This is just something that drives me crazy with this company. They just seem to be so unorganized most of the time. They introduce features and abandon them if they don't work out as planned, they introduce new stuff but only answer a few questions instead of providing ongoing support for the next day, they only give the vaguest of information when people are desperate for some clarity....they just never manage to think things through from our perspective:mad:

I can't believe that Eric didn't even come back to this thread once to address the legitimate questions about the finer details of the event...how professional. I wish I had a job I didn't actually have to do. Now they just have their collective heads buried in the sand and are waiting for it to blow over it seems.

I can't even see how this is great for new players...Having to rush 8 chars to 50(65) instead of being able to take it all in and just enjoy all of the content? Maybe for some new players, but certainly not all.

Only this time it's the devs who're trolling us:D

I wouldn't even mind if this was an open ended thing, but doing all of this until the end of the year would turn it into a second job for me instead of a game I play to relax and have fun.

I don't mind the event and the tasks themselves, but there's no way that I'll make it in the time they give us, even if it'll turn out to be December. I'd have to do nothing but work on this for the whole duration with no time to play any other games and even then, leveling all those chars and getting one geared up to do HM FPs, WBs and OPs? Meh I'll leave this one to the kids, unemployed and singles.
