Maby the TS just want to disband his guild or merge with a new guild and wants to let his members know. Even those that are currently not online. MOTD does not work that well if the guild disapears.

I can get plenty of flashpoints actualy, im in a guild and most of the time i have to tell them no because i want to level my alt. And even without the guild if im looking in LFG i can get a group pretty easy, although it was easier last month, but then again i got a dps class that might help as they are in demand a lot more then tanks or healers ( at least on my server )

True, cross server would mean that people can just ninja items for their companions without issues. Hey they never going to meet those players they just screwed over anyway, and nobody can chose not to play with him/her. You join a queue and get a group even if the rest does not want you to play with them because you behave like a *****.

Well you only have 4 types of heals you basicaly need, well actualy 2 you use mainly and then 2 for some special cases ( AOE heal ). Sure you can use other abbilities but you dont really need them and most actualy have a far lower healing/second factor then your 2 main heals. And might actualy cust you energy/power.

They are trying 2 many steps at the same time. Because we complain ( rightfully ) about downtimes not being during offpeak times they now try to do downtime with running servers. How about bringing the servers down by zone and doing it that way, you already showed us you can do it. You did it before for the US customers so just do it for EU and Aussies as well.

Not even that many, character itself has a lot of deduced values. Every item slot on the character is just the primary key in another database table ( small ) + current durability. Every itemslot on your companion does the same. Social + valor needs to be stored as well as affection for each companion. For each quest only a simple state ( not started, started, phase x(1.....), completed ) Then for each bankslot 2 values primary key and ammount. O and ofcourse the name but hey. So i guess between 1-10Mb of data. Mind that keys and durability as well as social/valur/gold are not really big numbers 64bit max although you should get away with 32 bit values.

How can a patch that is there only for the weekend promotion, to ensure that they dont have more access then the weekend, have priority or should even be scheduled in prime time. They could have done it later during their normal times on friday. They could have fixed it in their normal tuesday schedule and give those that dont pay a few extra hours. Instead they turn off the EU servers during prime time. And to top it of later they only turn off EU servers for a patch because it is US primetime. Yet they claim that what they just did isnt possible.

Apparently it was not necessary at all, you just patched the servers 2 days ago. You could have patched the game in the morning. There was no need for a patch to go on a thursday evening primetime while you could also do it on friday morning. You can bring down servers for restarts by region as you just demonstrated. So fact being you are a LIAR. The facts are there so at least get some big Bioware COE that actualy has BALLS to come on these forums and tell the truth. Namely that they dont give a rats *** about the players.

Well it depends a lot on the reaction of some and how you say it in chat. As dutch we are crippled by the system so we have to turn of the maturity filter just to be able to speak dutch. sometimes people say something in dutch in general because of an error, you know chatsettings changed to general iso party. Sometimes these are funny so people respond to them but there is also the usual person that has to go immediately "ffs english" or the likes normaly in caps to. Im sure you can imagine the result of these responses on the chat. Im mature and ofcourse it is antisocial to start using another language for discussions in chat, but im not putting up with *****s that think they can order me around.

If they implement it im just going to use general chat for groups. I dont want to be in groups with complete ******es that ninja loot every chance they have because there is no reason to be nice. With server only groups those bad apples will soon find themself without groups, with cross server there is no penalty against it. Do you really want to play with antisocial people that just need on every item they can need on for their companions or just to sell it. Even if it is a good upgrade for your class and you can actualy use it? If yes you want cross server LFG if no you dont want it.

Reset instance and you can do it again. Remember the name so you dont repeat the same mistake again with this person.

Please NOT i dont want to make rules outlawing addins on ops. It was bad enough in WoW where i had to outlaw the damagemeters just to get bossed killed.

Well the first time ill watch the cutschenes, maby the 2nd and 3th time after that ill go for spacebar. Most people have done the same FP 5-10times and yes after 5 times every day in a row the story gets kinda old. But why didnt you just do these FP earlier when you where leveling? then you would have seen the story because it would be new for everybody.

Lets see whenever im online i can find pretty much a group ( if i want to ) within 30 mins between 7ish and 9:30ish local time. Sometimes it is a bit slower but normaly i can get groups for HM FP and stuff. I could do this as DPS and i can do this as a Healer, have not tried as a tank but im guessing ill need to hide on korriban for some peace and quiet time Most people are either on illum/belsavis or the fleet, then again maby you just play on a server where the general population has a different timezone from you.

What is the problem with buying from a GTN and then reselling it for a higher price? Everybody can do it so there is no problem with it. This whole Neutralnode system should be removed or it should tap into both republic and imperial GTN nodes but at a higher fee to pay the smugglers.

Well lest make it clear that this game has some design flaws that are awfull and are textbook, yes every reasonable competent developer knows them. The bigest 1 is clientside calculations, this is basicaly putting a flag on your game saying please cheat ( you might as well save profiles localy ) But if this is a problem with the engine is a mather of debate, is managing the stats of the players part of the engine or is just displaying models part of the engine. The engine is terrible slow compared to other games with rendering game worlds, try alt-tab and it takes a lot longer then other MMO's out there to put you back in the game. But this can also be because the engine is not properly used, but if you cannot properly use an engine you should not select it. You select the tools best for the job based on what you can use.

They get treated like 3th rate customers like EU players are. Apparently bioware does not feel the need to do the smallest things to keep half the customerbase happy. Then again ofcourse their tech support need to drink a cupa first and then relax reading the newspaper before actualy starting work at 9AM. Their just being cheap it saves them a few $$ and they hope they wont lose more then it saves them. But as the US does not seem to have a problem why not move the downtime back a few hours that way EU players dont have downtime during the day Australians have no downtime during their peak hours and well US players dont care anyway.

No sane person is going to create an alt and play in the middle nof their night for 1 night a week. For this to happen a player will have to play during their downtimem 3-9AM and do it on a server with a lot of extra lag ( so they cant play with groups due to game design ) and it will only be for 1 night a week.

The DROID. Really oki you had to balance out giving us the ship and all but this is realy 2 much. I dont want to turn off the music in the game but that droid is really annoying. I do really feel the desire to deactive him every time i come close to him.
