  1. To me it shows more that he's grown up unlike most who post here. Thumbs up exi, never too late to change for the positive and better.
  2. What pvp needs more than anything imo is more warzones... arenas aren't really gonna cut it... major fail BW once again not that I expected anything,,, but still shocking!
  3. so the new MAJOR pvp update is 2 new PVE operations... got the memo... I would be disappointed if I hadn't been here since launch and know never ever to trust anything we hear from BW/EA... shocking none the less though
  4. There was a thread in Customer Support section a few days back regarding this. I was in the same situation. Did it all on a rep char and the imp stuff on an imp char, having also finished the questline finaal heroics on said rep char. It turned out I was missing one on Coruscant, and judging from the other replies we got from CS those doing it on imp missed some on Drommund Kaas. So my advice is go do Coruscant again, if you can't scan it ofc that means you have it, but try it. Also even if you find an unscanned droid the mail isn't instantly delivered. I had to log out of my char, onto another different char and then back and the pet was in my mailbox.
  5. Thx for the update, I have been looking forward to more information, as I was starting to feel like I might as well go F2P. Probably gonna keep my sub running for this content. Bounty Hunter event and PVP stuff sounds like something I wouldn't want to miss. I would also very much like it if you would provide information about long term stuff. I 'grew up' in wow and they always give info a year or so in advance so people keep the buzz going, and that imo is very important to any game. My wish would be a REAL expansion like 10 levels higher cap, lots of new planets and especially more class/companion story content, more factions to grind rep with, more FPs, OPs, WZs etc. I'd much rather have an expansion of a grand scale that you could charge say 50$ for than 4-5 smaller Makeb like updates at 10$.
  6. Feb 1st 2012: "It looks like Star Wars: The Old Republic is off to a decent start, with EA today touting sales topping 2 million copies since launch, 1.7 million of which are reported as "active daily users." http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/01/swtor-sales-feb-2012/ If you recall every purchased copy came with 1 free month of subscription, so that's 2 million subscribers initially. July 31st 2012: "Star Wars: the Old Republic accumulated about 1.7 million active subscribers when it launched in December 2011. By February, that figure fell to 1.3 million, with the latest figures suggesting the decline continues despite some portion of the game now free-to-play." http://www.computerandvideogames.com/360929/star-wars-the-old-republic-sinks-to-less-than-1m-subscribers/ May 8th 2013: "Frank Gibeau, the leader of the Labels division at EA, tells investors that, “Since it was induced in November, we've added more than 1.7 million new players on the free model to the service.” He adds, “And the number of subscriptions has stabilized at just under half a million.” http://news.softpedia.com/news/Star-Wars-The-Old-Republic-Has-500-000-Subscribers-Sees-Revenue-Increase-351533.shtml So please stop saying people fudge the numbers Hyfy they don't lie...
  7. Happened in a Huttball match I played before last patch. Seemed every time the ball changed hands to my team it counted a score. We were up 2-0 the opposing team had the ball. We kill their ball carrier down in the pit near our endzone and we scored. We were all pretty flabbergasted. It happened every time the ball changed hands from that point on but only for my team. Meaning if the other team killed our carrier nothing, if we killed their carrier... Rottworms scooooored... Only happened that one time though no idea what set it off or how it came about, but we were worried someone was using a hack or cheat thing. Pretty much sucks to win that way and not because of good teamwork and coordination.
  8. I have a shadow and an assassin which since 2.0 were both specced DPS in the middle tree. Got a bit bored and figured hmmmm why not try the tanking tree on my shadow. I go to the skill tree guy, respec, and start going through my abilities to learn them. I notice the harnessed shadows skill and read that I can heal at 3 stacks with Telekinetic Throw. Awesome.... selfheal... That'll be useful I think. I rearrange my abilities on my hotbar to my liking, and queue up for that first Shadow tank PVP experience. It ends up being voidstar and I'm enjoying it, defending like a pro feeling immortal, when at one time I'm focused and start to get low HP, some mara and ranged hitting on me, so I Force Wave him away after I check I have 3 stacks, and hit my Telekinetic Throw... Ahahaha you bas**** mara behold my impressive self heal survival skills... Nothing happens! No channel and I'm so flabbergasted he proceeds to ravage me into the spawn area... Flaming with rage already contemplating the angry bug report I will have to file immediately, and possible forum posts decrying what a terrible fail BW was putting unworking talents on live servers... I mouse over my hotbar, and only then realize... I'd moved my Force Valor where I thought I'd put Telekinetic Throw... Quick to assume I'd have others to blame, and the only one at fault turned out to be me, myself & I.... One serving of humble pie I won't forget in a hurry... Oh, and on my mara I've done the hit the wrong key thing too one meter from the goal line in Huttball and vanished.
  9. sorry, but stream is pretty much unwatchable... freezes every 1-2 seconds
  10. Wealthy purple 450 Slicing missions from boxes now drop 6 TRs normally and 8 TRs on crit. So run the wealthy missions for crafting is my suggestion. I pretty much stopped doing rich/bountiful missions, but have run 20+ wealthy I had stocked and have a nice supply currently.
  11. Absolutely 0 - in protest of the pricing structure I do not intend to use this feature.
  12. In game the knowledge base states that you don't need to even have rothc to get advanced training. Bugged for me to can't click doesn't react. I have ordered rothc just not before early axz cutoff. Still knowledge base seems to indicate it should work.
  13. You don't lose most of your customers if your game is even half decent to begin with! Releasing an unfinished product and spending the greatest part of your first year in damage control mode desperately trying to make features available that should've been in at launch, while ignoring the content side.... Is why we're where we are imo. Started playing with 16 people in December. 1 is left. Me. Rest left because of various reasons. Some valid, some subjective (wasn't their type of game etc.) For myself my chars basically die at 50 because nothing in end game PVE or PVP really has been satisfying or interesting. The PVP gear grind, class balance issues, expertise and way too fast TTK made PVPing crap. No more stories, nothing left to explore, no world PVP. Daily quests so boring I could stand them a few days then ditched them since the time invested and rewards didn't add up for me. Done datacrons, done crafting. All professions maxed on various toons. 1-49 the game is great, but I agree that once you hit 50 it's game over. I'll keep my sub for now, but am moving on myself to check out the pandas. The interview was indeed sad. F2P I have little problems with as it's either that or shut the game down and start over.
  14. /signed I would also very much like to be able to untick huttball but remain queued for other WZs. It's possible for FPs so would not be difficult to implement. Yes, I would gladly wait extra time to avoid Huttball.
  15. Overall and compared to Rakghoul Plague event I didn't find it as interesting and well thought out. However, anything that breaks the monotony of FP, WZ, FP, WZ is in itself a good thing. Especially some of the quest design where too many people wanted to do them at once were demoralizing and frustrating. The droid race on a few toons my grp and I didn't even know it was our turn and suddenly we get the quest completed thing without having left the terminal you click to start it. The fact that I've completed the event on 9 chars suggests that I really needed a break from the regular stuff, and doing so helped get the rewards I wanted for the chars I wanted without too much unnecessary grinding of boxes. Event rewards I can't really complain much about. I'm ok with there being some for certain chars and not so much for others. Being a pet person I will go for that every time, and I can see the gimmick speeder holds some value to some just for being different (read broken). I'd grade the rakghoul plague event an A and this would be C+ I think. Mainly because of the problems with certain quests. Lastly I would just commend Dulfy from dulfy.net for doing the best event coverage I've seen of this event, and the pictures of rewards made my job easier selecting which I wanted.
  16. Honestly this deserves criticism. I mean it's blatantly obvious that whoever coded this does not play MMOs or this sort of thing would never make it to live, without some person figuring out what a mess this would be on crowded servers. Would've been great if it was instanced it isn't so it's an utter waste of time standing in a pile having 'click war'. Something you force yourself to do because you have to in order to get the required item not something remotely fun or engaging.
  17. I didn't mind the trailer that much. Since the stuff has been datamined it wasn't a surprise. Just thankful we at least get something like the rakghoul event which I still recall as very enjoyable and hope this will deliver. Right now anything new and exciting would really liven the mood of many players I think. I still believe the rakghoul plague was one of the best things Bioware has done in this game, another event will be a breath of fresh air at least for me. Here's to a great event, and hopefully some new shinies (pets, gear, title, weapons whatever lol)
  18. 3 server spread: 50 Sorcerer 50 Powertech 50 Operative 50 Consular 48 Assassin 42 Mercenary 42 Scoundrel 36 Marauder 31 Juggernaut 26 Commando
  19. Probably been told not to provide any information until the F2P announcement. I'm not saying that's ok or anything, but what I think is the reasoning behind it.
  20. I'm only still subbed for three reasons. Because it's Star Wars, and I'm a fan going back to the 1980s, and the hope it will somehow morph into a much better game with fewer annoyances (bugs) and more fun factor (variety most of all in every aspect). That and the if I'd miss some new world event or content that I later read about was awesome, I would have to kick myself really hard!
  21. Originally that was my thought too from the headline I must admit.
  22. I support adding stuff that isn't the same killing stuff over and over. I'd like something relaxing like the cooking/fishing dailies in 'that other game' with the Star Wars twist. Should be fast to do, but still different. Mellow things like this also appeals a lot to the female playerbase in my opinion. Another suggestion I'd like would be crew skill missions for every single skill. Some could be simple gathering ones, others craft X of something and the mission ones something relating to each. Some could be individual and some combined so you go gather stuff, then do missions in the virtual world not just send companions and lastly craft stuff from the items. Could make rewards a new currency that doesnt interfere with end game, you could use to buy lockboxes with mats or 'fluff' stuff like pets. Dailies that could be tuned to our class like smugglers going to steal something smuggle it through some imperial security and deliver the goods back. Bounty hunter would be easy enough, aquire target A bring him to planet B etc.
  23. Considering this quote from the EA F2P announcement letter: "BioWare will be increasing the frequency of game content updates, with the first of many new releases coming in August." I too am a bit flabbergasted at no new information pertaining to it, nor any updates on the PTS. Weird since the anticipation of new content is sometimes as good as getting it. Also it would fast derail the community anger towards F2P as people focus their attention on the new stuff incoming. Major blunder PR wise in my book.
  24. Nope. Never again. Anything with the EA logo or Bioware for that matter I will not purchase or recommend during my lifetime. Additionally I will lobby friends and relatives to stay away from these companies products as well. I blame EA more for the SWTOR fiasco, ruining the game by releasing an unfinished product too soon, making Bioware work in permanent damage control mode to fix bugs and add features that should've been present at launch. However, the unsatisfactory end game experience *wow in space* and the lack of content updates, I blame Bioware for.
  25. If you've been following the MoP beta testing on MMO-Champion you'd fast realize that Blizzard actually tests their content, listens to user feedback and implements changes based on user feedback as well as number crunching/internal testing. Since EA forced Bioware to release this game before it was finished, the Bioware team has been in permanent damage control since release. Bugs, Ilum, patches that list stuff as fixed then isn't, more bugs, OPs that don't drop loot or has encounters bugged, lack of communication, not listening to PTS feedback etc. All of these prove beyond a shadow of a doubt imo that the game was unfinished, unpolished and clearly not release material. Had they only waited another year and let Bioware work out the kinks it would've been a different story I think. EA destroyed the opportunity the game had by going the route they went pushing release for christmas 2011.
