  1. Great change. Now maybe people will stick around to finish a WZ.
  2. I don't do premades very much, and I play a class that does not have force speed or a jumping ability. Nonerheless, it is my favorite WZ, but I know it can be very frustrating when teammates don't know what they are doing.
  3. So what gearing on this spec? I've got mixed BM/WH Combat Tech, all BM Eliminator, and the BM Supercommando gun and shield generator. I'm not real familiar with tank stats so what would be the bare minimum tanking gear necessary to try this spec? Would all dps gear be fine?
  4. The no-RS AP build just wasn't working as I had hoped in PvP, so I switched to this. Wow, night and day difference. Wish I would have switched to this much sooner.
  5. I am using all the BM Combat Tech gear and the rest BM Eliminator. I modded the BM Combat Tech Helmet and Gloves with the Champion Operative Glove/Helmet enhancements. I just double checked, and I have 1165 Expertise, 302 Surge, 340 power, and 319 Crit. The WH Combat Tech's Blaster has 53 surge and 61 crit.
  6. Geared ops/scoundrels who have slightly above average pvp skills cannot be killed in a 1v1 fight unless they've blown all their cooldowns/stims, etc. Be it 1.1 or 1.2, this fact has not changed. I would love to see a video proving me wrong though.
  7. I finally got around to remodding my gear with champion surge/power mods and also bought the WH Combat Tech's Blaster. My surge is at 302 and expertise at 1164. I only put surge/power mods in two pieces of BM gear. My DPS is now at a more than acceptable level. I crit over 4000 on immolates (w/ relic buff) and 3000 RPs. FB crits for 2400. PFT still seems pretty lacklster, but on occassion it will crit for 2000 a tick. Most of the time it hits for 1300-1500 on crits which is still great if I manage to get all 4 ticks off. Overall I am liking the non-RS build much better now.
  8. My problem is a little different than anyone else. I only have 8/9 in my codex, but I did get the "Containment Officer" title after downing the 3rd boss. I killed Urtagh a second time following the patch thinking that would give me the 9/9, but it didn't work. Not sure what I am missing.
  9. Great, now I know what I can do with all my BM mods when I pull them before upgrading to WH. I wonder if BW will "fix" this though.
  10. After several days with it, I can say that it is working, but it is indeed pathetic damage unless you manage to hit 3+ people. The AP spec is still very very very underwhelming. It's the masochists preferred build.

  13. So the guy does nearly as much healing as the top 2 healers on the winning team and he gets nothing? Bottom line, he was doing his job and got shafted. 1.2 is genius
  14. This is exactly what I am experiencing. To use an APs best weapons you need to be very close to the enemy, but doing so results in almost immediate death. Also, HO is completely useless in Huttball, because AP damage mitigation makes it foolish to carry the ball.
  15. I noticed a few threads regarding this on the trooper forums, but nothing here.....so anyone else notice that dps powertechs are much squishier after the patch? Even with full BM gear and expertise, I die very quickly. This wouldnt be as bothersome if it felt like my damage output had increased to offset the poorer survivability. Is expertise the reason or were there other changes to damage mitigation?.
  16. Its the same with BH too. We have no survivability now.
  17. I'm powertech and noticing the same thing. I used to be able to carry the huttball, but I instantly explode now. Something is not right.
  18. For whatever reason, I found survivability of my AP build (non-RS version) to be much lower now than pre 1.2. I noticed my HP are ~450 lower with the same gear (BM Eliminator/Combat Tech) and everyone is hitting me harder (despite taking Power Armor, which I did not have pre 1.2) Other than the fact that the PFT slow makes it easier to burn people down in certain situations, I don't notice any significant DPS increase on my end. HO has lost some of its luster too, considering I explode before I can even get the full 8 seconds out of it in huttball. What is going on here?
  19. Helmet looks stupid now in comparison to the rest of the set. Must be a bug.
  20. Im going to try modded combat tech gear tonight. Even if AP performs worse than pyro I might stick with it considering how great heat management and HO are.
  21. I am going to test power/surge modded combat tech gear on my AP build tonight. If the dps is still poor, it looks like I might need to go back to pyro and mod my eliminator set.
  22. I wasn't expecting this, but I'm glad I bought all the combat tech and a the most expensive pieces of supercommando BM gear before the patch.
  23. Maybe the damage is spread out over one more tick? I havent got a chance to test it yet.
  24. Definitely need to change its name then. Pillow bombardment or something.
  25. I found that the non-RS AP spec works much better against snipers/gunslingers than the various PT specs I've used. With regards to the flame barrage activation, I do mean a cue on the character. They could just use the same one that is used for RS (laugh and flame ring) and I would be happy.
