10 Good
  1. I got in after repeatedly killing the launcher at the end of each file and relaunching. Plenty of people in game had no issues, so I would not be terribly surprised if Bioware was unaware of the issue.
  2. Don't worry, they will release 5 patches over the next few months all meant to resolve this issue, only to have it come back the patch after it is "fixed"
  3. I had the same issue, so I rebooted my PC and tried again, and I'm now downloading the patch. I'll update if it dies again but so far so good.
  4. I was in a Voidstar on my conc op and I got a lucky run on capping the doors, so we completed that round in less than 3 minutes. If it matters, I hit every door. (I told you I was lucky.) On the second round the rest of my team dropped right so I went left and stealth guarded the door. The other team was trying to zerg right so they never attacked "my door" in force, so I only got 1 or 2 kills from it. (I called all inc but it wasn't terribly necessary.) We won the match, but I immediately got called out in ops chat for "just sitting there and getting carried to a win." The poor guy was so angry that I only did around 150k DPS in the entire match and a minor amount of healing. I had more than double the objective points of the next closest person, but obviously objective points and a won match mean nothing compared to DPS numbers. I guess I shouldn't have spent so much time capping doors and guarding!
  5. This is totally broken... 'Emperor' is only supposed to have 1 'O' in it!!! I hear they are already banning players for exploiting the extra 'O', but there's no fix for this in 4.3...
  6. Doesn't necessarily have to be a premade. When someone marks healers, maybe going after them once in a while instead of deathmatching in the middle of nowhere with that jugg who keeps killing you might actually wind up in a dead healer now and then.
  7. As creative as I'd like to be about it, honestly I'd just space him to get him off my ship in the most expedient way possible... though I'd probably film it to rewatch over and over and over and over... and over...
  8. Oddly I think this is what appealed to me most when I rolled my operative during early access. I wasn't making Obi-Wan, or Palpatine, or Boba Fett, I was starting clean with no expectations. But back on topic, I still think the Agent fits best as the Base Commander, in part because of this flexibility.
  9. Your responses are definitely valid, I was just giving my personal reasons why I felt Agent fit best, and why the others just didn't seem to fit as well in my opinion. To me the game has always felt like it favors the Agent story a bit (all the glorious crossovers and cameos with the other class stories, the way it seems to flow together as I outlined above, etc.) but this of course may be my own confirmation bias. The world as it exists in my head is always way cooler than the world as it really is.
  10. I know most disagree with me, but it really seemed to fit my Agent better than anyone else, possibly due to how I played her, or just my head canon. From the beginning of the class story through to the endgame content (Malgus, RotHC, SoR) it all just seemed to kind of flow smoothly as a progression from a solo Imperial Agent to someone with a very strong skillset in infiltrating and destroying the largest threats to the Empire, with the ability to coordinate and tap all available resources needed to do so, even the Republic. To me it plays out fairly well as an increasingly epic spy saga with a fairly decent and believable character arc. Most of the other class stories to me seem to break down once they hit endgame/expansion content. Why does a Council Member get their hands dirty on Makeb? And why do they never tap their legions of cultists to help with any of it? Why is the Emperor's Wrath opposing the Emperor? Why does a smuggler care what Revan does? Why is the Bounty Hunter involved at all in KotFE... nobody's paying and the Mandalorians are nowhere to be found! Both the Consular and Knight should be happy Malgus has fractured the Empire... let it tear itself apart! But the Agent (I played mine mostly Light Side, YMMV) seems to fit in each one of these scenarios, and grow from each enough to be able to tackle the next leaving her in a perfect position to lead the resistance.
  11. I'm in the "Any New Operations" camp, because I'm tired of watching all my friends go inactive and telling me to text them if new ops are announced. Plus it would be nice to stop hearing "the game is going into maintenance mode"... it's becoming a more and more compelling argument as time goes by.
  12. I absolutely avoided flirting with him from the beginning at all costs, and he's still super creepy! I completely agree that he seems like a "nice-guy stalker"... it's shocking how similar he is to those random creepers who hear you once in voice chat then start sending you flower Jawa-grams...
  13. Come on now... we all know the best way to solve the OP Sorc issue is to nerf operatives.
  14. Train all those skills. Unlike in KOTOR, you don't choose between upgrading skills and getting new ones, you simply train all the skills available at each level. (Sometimes there will be none.) There used to be a cost for training, but they removed it a while ago, so now training is free. The "0 credits" next to it is just a holdover from that.
  15. Game, competition, "eSport", whatever word you use to describe it, being an ***hole is still being an ***hole, and has nothing to do with your perceived or actual level of play. Nearly all of the really good PvPers I've met in this or any game are helpful and rather nice, and this is generally true of most athletes I have met as well. They prove their skill by playing well, not by trying to humiliate others or being an ***hole. On the other hand, most "Chat Window PvPers" and "let's farm the nubz" players tend to be rather middling...
