  3. The real problem due to faction imbalance is that it's causing animosity among imp (in my case). See, all I play is people on my same faction. At 50, it's the same people, every single match. At this point it's obvious that players are getting pissed off. People freak out and start cursing at each other if they get pwned. Then you have to see and be around them outside of the warzone. In any given WZ match (aka huttball 99% of the time), I'd bet I have at least half the players on ignore. Great, now I can't communicate with my team, because I ignored them when they were on the other team raging and cursing at me for killing them... Even worse they may not even pass to me. I get messages in my own team saying "I still hope you die", etc. and others go through this as well. I'm thinking about re-rolling Republic now because I don't like making enemies with people who are supposed to be my allies. Do Republic play each other all the time too? Or are there more matches up against the imp?

  5. I'm just pointing out the tree he was referring to in case others are unaware. I didn't notice it stated before. I'm not sure on the distance but you're right, in Huttball, 2 - 6 m can mean 40. I think Powertechs are at a disadvantage not having a knockback, however. If they jet charge, they'll get knocked back down by another class. If they grapple, that usually is only beneficial in Huttball, which at 50, you'll hardly ever be able to grapple the ball carrier and keep them near you. It is highly likely they'll have more people to pass to, or another to Force Pull them right back up. I think Powertechs should get get the weak Merc knock back, and the Merc should get a more powerful one.
  6. Arsenal tree: Afterburners - passive 2/2 Rocket Punch as a 100% chance to knock the target back several meters. In addition, Jet Boost's knockback effect is stronger and pushes enemies 4 meters further away.
  7. Wasn't sure if I should post here or on PVP forums, but I'll just post here and hope for the best. Here is the build I'm currently using: http://knotor.com/skills#AgMbCQVKUVpiaXJ6kZqhqrPK0tqhsrnS29Lb My rotation is pretty much Blaster while running toward enemy, jet charge or grapple, then rocket punch, flame burst, rail shot, stun (electro or carbonize) and then Death from Above. Throw down oil slick if they stay for the fight, otherwise I chase them back down with jet charge or grapple and try to down them. Is that a good rotation/strategy? If a merc is situated above I'll jet charge up or grapple them down and interrupt. Also, should I be investing in PvP gear that has +Defense on it? Like the Champion Supercommando gear? That's what I have now 3/5 with some centurion gear as well.
  8. Make it like Dungeon Finder for WoW. Queue for the WZ, when enough people queue, prompt a "ready" dialogue y/n. If enough people are ready to make a roughly balanced match, then everyone enter. If not, you go back to queue and continue waiting. Either tell them what WZ it is at the prompt, or let them choose the wz they want at the queue. No no I'm not a rocket scientist, but I did stay at a holiday inn last night.

If there were not enough players to begin with why start the match at all It would be like in Dungeon Finder for WoW if you queued and then it put you in the instance, only to end up with 2 people in a 5 man dungeon. Just make sure everyone's "ready" when they queue, and make the match before the wz starts. At 50 I have to sit in the queue for 15 - 20 mins, only to enter the WZ and sit another 2 mins, then after it starts the message comes up that it's about to end. But I guess that's all my fault. It's all within my control and I'm just not playing right. Right trolls?
  10. This is getting ridiculous. Every other match it's "The warzone will end in 120 seconds unless more people join". Is this because people queue then all of a sudden decide not to enter the warzone? I don't understand it happens so often. I don't like when my team has 8 and other as 4, or vice versa. Why not automatically balance it out during the game, instead of just kicking everyone out and basically forcing a victory/loss for on team?

  13. XS Freighter Flyby and they can take down all enemies at once, hiding behind their little shield which seems to mitigate 90% damage

  16. I've been playing shield tech since the beginning. Was PvP fun since basically level 10? Yes. But I must say, I enjoy this DPS build much more. The problem with my shield tech is that the CD on Grapple and the Jet Charge is not as effective in the lvl 50 bracket as in earlier levels. It's typically only useful in Huttball, which I've played hundreds of times by now. The jet charge and grapple works 50% of the time. There's so much CC in the game it's ridiculous so sometimes my grapple won't work on someone. I don't need to jet Charge as often because there's usually another player who can pull me to them if I'm carrying the ball. Else, an enemy will just pull me right back down. People have spec'd and play in such away that a BH cannot be solo unless they're DPS. I find with this DPS build it's easier for me to help burn down the ball carrier, or take out healers in any pvp. If they want to make grapple and jet charge effective, then make it where you get a kill count if you pull someone into acid or fire or off the edge to death. And make the seconds you get of a speed boost after jet charge immune to stuns of any kind and anything that makes you slower. I take just as much damage because the shield tech doesn't block as much damage in PvP as it does in PvE.
  17. More bugs! If you would at least let these bugs occure BEFORE I spend over 10 mins a match. Now I'm getting kicked out (game completely closes) just before the match is over so I get no rewards or anything. Awesomeness.
  18. I just experienced a new bug Just trying out some PvP on my alt and I get flashed or something, but it never goes away. There aren't any debufs on my so I sit there for a while until I get killed. I could not move away or /stuck out of it. When I spawned back at the spawn point, I was stuck there as well. My feet were shuffling but I couldn't move or /stuck out of it, either. I got logged out of the PvP and got nothing, after already getting through a lengthy round 1. Video 1: Video 2:
  19. Hi I do this all the time. It only works once. Second time you pull them, they'll die, but the score will count. Trust me. Also, you can stay up there as long as you like, as long as you run down the sides, and stand just on the edge.   20. I think it's obvious why famous PvP'rs on YouTube typically show how to play a class by making Arena videos. You can't exactly test your true skills in a game of Huttball. You can only win with a couple different abilities in certain situations.

FPS/Lag issues, Threats to cancel, stuck issues, bugs, unacceptable blizz, etc... I do agree with you though that I think Bioware has some issues in certain areas, but they make up for it in others. It's all a matter of opinion. For instance I think the lack of music sucks, but the amount of scenes in quests with voice is great. Bioware has not made an MMO before. Blizzard did not take all of their years of experience, training, and programmer's knowledge from trial and error, and hand it over to Bioware to use for developing this game.

  23. Not sure how you can tell it's a pre-made. The uploader says he queued solo, I don't see a more than 2 maybe 3 in the same guild (hard to tell because of the video quality). And I think any class could do this, but it's easier for commando due to their ranged abilities. I've joined many PvP groups, and I'm usually the only one in my group who will spot a Commando (especially in void) and run out, interrupt/attack. I guess this video proves more that people can easily get caught up in the melee battle and tend to forget that ranged dps killing them from the distance, as are healers by standing far away and throwing heals in on the melee. I'm a BH so I typically charge out and interrupt, or grapple/interrupt/aoe.
  24. I get so much hate in whispers and in pvp/general when I pull people into acid, fire or ledge. It is the most entertaining part of my PvP experience.
