  1. All, I am referring to the map that comes up with you talk to a Speeder guy, or the map that comes up if you click Quick Travel. The entire map only shows locations, it doesn't overlay anything on these maps as far as mission locations or anything else. Of course bring up my main Map ("m"), I see everything I need to. But I have to "remember" the spot from that view I need to go to before I bring up the map for Quick Travel or Speeder, because the "map" for those contains nothing but discovered bind points. Exercise: bring up your main map. Now bring up your Quick Travel map. Notice any differences?
  2. When I go to a speeder/transport bot, and it opens the map, I can't see any quest/mission destinations or anything -- only destinations. Is there a way to enable mission locations on the map? It's kind of annoying having to open my Map to find where I need to go, then close and talk to the speeder who opens up a map for me to choose where to go...
  3. I can't tell if my computer's having an issue but in each of my web browsers, whenever I visit swtor.com it says Not secure no certificate in the information bars. I'm concerned about the website security because I login and if it's not HTTPS then I could be hacked.
  4. I love to heal and but I'm thinking about doing AoE healing in SWTOR for PvP purposes because targeting is an issue for me. As a healer in WoW, targeting wasn't as difficult. I didn't have to be so precise to left-click an ally in PvP, and in PvE, I could heal as I clicked the characters avatars and even use modifiers with add-ons which SWTOR doesn't allow.
  5. It's really difficult in PvP to heal people. Takes way too long to try and click someone when they're running around, you're getting taunted, etc.
  6. Wouldn't be surprised. Anyway I just uninstalled my game. I unsub'd a few days ago and thought I'd keep playing just in case, but the PvP situation is way out of hand. Maybe I'll be back when the game is out of pre-beta.
  7. Funny, but that's not what I'm saying. My point is that there's no issue with my computer as far as over heating or viruses or anything like that. So no other game just closes randomly or based on any type if in-game events. My point is that there is a particular, consistent problem with this game (as of the last couple days) where my game client will completely close whenever a Sorc uses their Overload ability. that is the last thing I remember each time the game closes.

  9. My game is frequently completely just closing when I'm in PvP and a Sorc does something like Overload. You know, I kinda knew you buffed Sorcs to be overpowered hybrids with more capability and utility than other classes, but this is just ridiculous. Here I am working my god dam *** off for my team and I'm seconds away from the goal line (that's Huttball for those who are too stupid to know what I'm referring to), next thing you know a god dam sorc does overload and boom, game freezes, then completely closes. Reopen and now I requeue and am on some fail team at 50 who doesn't know which way to run in Huttball. Nothing in my event log. Doesn't happen in any other game.
  10. yeah I made the mistake of going shield tech and getting Supercommando gear. Now I learn that the Battlemaster upgrades to Champion actually over no stats for tanking. I lose hundreds of defense and shield rating by "upgrading" to the battlemaster equivalent. Thanks?
  11. lol I was on Imp the other day with 8 (us) vs Republic (1 person) in Civil War. It was sad, especially since my entire team chased the guy down for the 120 seconds we had to play the match. I just sat in mid though.
  12. It's not just stuns. It's the snares too. In Huttball, if I cast my CC breaker at 100% resolve, I shouldn't be snared 100% when I run over the fire unable to continue moving thus being burned to death (even if I can get a pass off if by some miracle an ally is near me). If my resolve isn't up then I just get stunned. So you're screwed either way so I don't understand what the point of resolve is, even if it's working?? Plus the autorun is confusing. Sometimes your autorun will continue after you're done being CC'd for the moment, othertimes it turns off so I can't tell if I should be pushing forward or not. If I"m toggling the mouse button I can't tell if auto run is on or off because i can't tell if I'm being CC'd. The debuff icons above my avatar are so damn small and hard to read I don't know what's going on, and I don't have a log to review after wards.

    Yeah the dots are ridiculous. Civil War at level 50 is especially annoying when you're trying to slice turret with a dot on. You have to kill all the enemies at once then have a few people immediately slice the turret. Otherwise their spawn time is so dam fast they can just fly right back to the turret and interrupt. Cycle continues.
  14. The past couple days I've been getting frozen + kicked out whenever a sorcerer uses Overload.
  15. We need more stuns in Huttball. It should take at least 20 mins to get from one side of the map to the other due to stuns.
  16. So should I stop trying to be a "tank" then and go dps spec and get dps gear? I don't understand how I can wear and spec tank if it won't mitigate much damage in PvP.
  17. I'm a Powertech with full Champ gear and some Battlemaster pieces. The Champion Supercommando have more pieces with shield rating and defense, whereas the Battlemaster pieces do not. For example, the Champion Supercommando Helmet has 48 shield rating and 19 defense rating, but the Battlemaster Supercommando Helmet has none. It has +31 Absorption rating. Is +31 absorption rating better than having +19 defense and +48 shield rating? I understand the other stats are an upgrade but they're not much. Battlemaster helmet upgrade would be +4 expertise, +7 aim and +7 endurance... I'm confused but am open minded so please let me know.
  18. That would be great (if they could make it work at least). Of course I think some people would be so immature they'd start playing music during the match and messing it up for everyone.
  19. What sucks is that if you miss going through the spawn wall the first time (in huttball or voidstar) then you get kicked out of the game sometimes because you're being seen as AFK. Even though you're still moving around waiting to get out on your second chance. This has happened to me a couple of times because of the load screen time or me tabbing out and missing it (sound in background setting would be nice like in every other game I play).
  20. Probably because there are so many videos online (uploaded or streams) of SWTOR PvP where you always hear people talking on vent, teamspeak or Skype, constantly throughout the match. Not saying every pre-made does, but most of the really good ones do. But I think that's where people's assumptions come from that you ask about.
  21. The game does require communication but if you're with the same pre-made, I imagine at some point you pretty much know what to do from memory. If you're Imp and 99% of your PvP is Huttball, you probably know who gets the ball, who goes for pass and where they wait, etc. As for playing with pre-mades, yes I have found that often they will only play with each other and pass to each other in Huttball. This one guy died after taking a 30 second beating before the fire instead of passing to me so I could go in for the easy score. But I saw him make the pass to his guildie in a similar situation minutes later.

If the imbalance is going to force me to play PvP against my own faction, then I don't want the enemy players to be from my own server, I'd rather be queued up against same faction of another server. At 50 it gets boring playing against the same people every time. You know what everyone does, where they go, their moves, their tactics, their timing, etc. You start losing interest and by the time you get queued against Republic, you don't have a strong enough team because you spend most of your days fighting against each other.
  23. I think I've played enough Huttball against people on my own server by now that the official star wars lore has changed from Republic vs Empire to Empire vs Empire. Seriously there is an imbalance issue and I'm not re-rolling Republic Make cross-server PvP queues happen because it makes no sense that I gotta queue in PvP only to face people people on my server I should be making friends/allies with, not going head to head and making enemies of every single minute I PvP.
  24. Seriously what other mmo's have this much CC in the game? Snares, Mezz, stuns. I'm getting sick of spending half of my pvp gameplay being CC'd. I wouldn't mind it as much if I had the choice not to ever go into Huttball, because you don't see CC used much in the other 2 wz's. But considering Huttball is all I ever get either the PvP was poorly designed, or too much CC was put into the game (or both).
