  1. My gf hates this mount and refuses to get it, and gets annoyed when i use mine...because she says it sounds like a demon baby. Personally...i fricking love it. lol
  2. I play mostly Imp side with my GF. Her and i Q togther. The odd time we also have another RL friend Q if he's online. Non ranked. So Pubs we dont generally look forward to playing are: Wook: Only because they are organzied and have some annoying tactics. IF we have a someone decent team, they are easy to shut down if you work well together. Sadly PUGs dont listen. Wook is fairly predictable in there tactics and has a few awesome players that easily carry there teams. Grey Order: rarely see them in non ranked. Wipe the floor with us fairly consistently. Undercon: Had my first game against them the other night. Voidstar. they had the door down in about 15 seconds. Pretty sure a few of our team mates didnt even realize the match had started! it was over fast. Well organized. but only seen them once so far. As far as Imp side goes... -Death Sentence: Pretty good. Doesn't communicate well with the rest of the pug. but they are good players. -Deathsmile: A few of them can be *****s when they are losing. But overall...great PVPers, love playing with them! -Lookin cute feeling cute: also great PVPers. haven't seen as many of them this week as i'd like. There are a few others that do well, but didn't make the list because i'm at work and can't think of them all lol Honorable mentions go to OMGPink though... Haven't gone up against a guild run of them, nor have i been on there team. But last night my GF and i were defending a turret (snow) and two assassins gave us one hell of a fight. VERY organized and well played. I'm Immortal Jugg, and gf is Operative healer. Normally we can hold off 4-5 people with ease. These two assassins gave us a run for our money. we wont most of the encounters...barely. And lost the final one because they got the jump on us when more of there team finally showed up. But mad props to them! Haven't seen people use team work like that in a LONG time in a PUG lol
  3. If it makes your decision to break up with your girlfriend (swtor) any easier... You should know that i spend 5-8 hours with her daily. Its pretty intense. My RL girlfriend is usually with us. its a party. We have so much fun together. We play so hard. Like...so very hard. She loves the way we PVP her warzones. So ya...knowing that shes loving how we play her...with no complaints about her performance...its safe to say that maybe you should just end it. you mad bro?
  4. THIS sadly one of the biggest problems, is that Imp animations are more "obvious" and lend to be countered easier. as another poster mentioned, juggs get a shield animation to show when they use there immunity ability. guardians barely flicker to denote they activated the ability. The animations for jedi are more subtle. When commandos AOE...its not always obvious whos barraging you. When a merc does it...hes flying in the sky. easy to see. MANY instances like this, where the animations favor the jedi side in combat.
  5. I'm on shadowlands too. I play both sides...and its pretty close in my opinion. Its really dependent on the morons your grouped with. if your on a team that calls stuff out, follows the plan and gets the basics...you win. both sides have derpy players. that said. i have noticed TWO things that make pubs better. -Guardians statisically have 1% more defense by the time they are full specced then juggs. (forget the name of the talent, but it has been proven on the class forums. -And while NOT proven yet...i will say my exactly same geared sage, does WAY better DPS then my sorc. I haven't figued out why. but i do infinitely better on sage. Overall though, i prefer my imp classes then my jedi classes.
  6. Well its a good thing its not math. You'd be screwed. big difference between 2k and 20k expertise. You made the same mistake on your post earlier whining about pve'ers in pvp having 14k. they dont. you meant 1400. Its not the same thing.
  7. New guide! How to be a contender. v2.0 -LolBolster = win! Gear= irrelevant Skill= irrelevant To make sure you get the most out of LolBolster, be sure to stand within range of a healer at all times. 1-Bolster 2-healer 3-???? 4-profit!
  8. It makes all random gear with expertise actually worse at pvp if its not partisan or higher. (aka 109-150 expertise on it) addings mods or crystals etc with expertise that doesn't equal the amount partisan gives you...will actually give you LESS expertise, then a PVE noobtard gets from bolster. NO expertise on ANY of your gear...gives you more expertise then SOME expertise on your gear. Because noobs that mostly PVE feel like they can't compete, and bioware decided to reply to there tears with LOLBOLSTER So again...Partisan gear and conqueror gear is ok and makes you slightly better at pvp then PVE noobs. ANYTHING else with expertise will hinder you BIG time.
  9. wait a sec... The mounts are supposed to be rarer then the armor? I'm admittedly new to using seekers. I just started this past weekend. I've spent about 3 days farming because i love the "concept" of treasuring hunting. In three days i have found: 16 speeder parts. (2 complete exploiter speeders, lots of explorer parts, and 2 pleasure parts) 7 blue crates with crafting mats i dont use and dont sell for much. 19 green seeker droid buffs. (range increases, or the insta cast buff) 30+ grey trash items selling for 5 credits each. ZERO ARMOR PARTS the two pleasure craft parts were the "Special treasures" that depleted the zone. The ONLY positive to all this wasted time, was the warzone comms security chest i found. All three speeders are Fugly. its cheaper to buy crafting parts on GTN or via missions. green buffs dont actually make seeker tracking more enjoyable as the directional ring is so inaccurate its a joke. And grey trash items for 5 credits? really? trash items at 50-55 sell for a few hundred each! there is no reason why they shouldn't be 52+ level trash items. you can't seeker droid till then..so its not like its a cheat for low levels to get higher credit earnings. Seeker droids are effectively a waste of time. Which is a pity because the concept is ingenious way of adding a treasure hunting feature. Fix the loot table, add loot worth chasing, and give people a reason to wanna keep doing it. Mounts available suck Armor sucks crafting mats suck trash isn't worth anything! HUGE TIME WASTER! Suggestion? -add various other loot types. various quality. some possibly exclusive -make the trash lvl appropriate -add comms as a possible loot find -add enemy mobs as a possible loot. dig up something that wants to kill you. (level appropriate) -add high lvl rare monsters that are a challenge but offer a rare loot if you survive -add rare lore items or something with no REAL value or benifit but adds "flavor" to the story. (like the datacube things) The mechanic is a great idea...but needs to be fixed to have it actually worth while! Please consider these and or other suggestions and revamp this! Treasure hunting and PVP are the two biggest things me and many others love about MMOs!
  10. unless the healer is lagged our or a complete derptard...you cant. You CAN be a huge pain in the ***, and prevent them from healing anyone else! Slows, interrupts, sustained damage etc. But your bust will never beat out even a moderate healers heals. Not solo anyway.
  11. it is NOT lag. and it DOES effect PVE as well. I have a SUPER fast computer, with the best internet connection available. i never have lag. even in large pvp battles. But last night, while doing a instanced quest for the seeker droid series. The part where you chase down the jugg in the museum and face patient zero etc... I got to a part where there was a gap, and on the other edge that you are supposed to jump to...was 3 mobs. in the middle of the platform. plenty of room for leap. I leaped...and fell short about 5 feet and fell to my death. running the same mission 2 more times, it was fine. leap landed where i wanted. same mobs, plenty of room around them. they are stationary mobs too. so it wasn't lag or mis judging distance. the ability simply fell short.
  12. Its something else. Force slow doesn't make me "hindered" and unable to jump. just makes me walk slow. Immobalize makes me unable to move. The effect i'm refering to doesn't seem to be slowing me down, but it DOES prevent my leaps. Red error saying i'm hindered comes up.

    Hindered question

What class and ability causes hindered effect? I've noticed it happens a lot in 55 pvp but have never played a class that uses it and i'm usually in the thick of battle when it happens so i dont know who or what caused it. So can anyone tell me a bit more about it? how was it applied, who did it, what all does it do etc. All i know is it prevents my jump abilites. This is not a complain thread lol I just wanna know more about what is being used on me so i can better deal with it. Cheers! and thanks in advance!
  14. Nice post Op. Sadly you do not work for bioware...and there coders are good at two things. reskinning old items with new colors for cartel market....and breaking currently working features. The current match making system is far less complicated. So they likely wont wanna change it. Its as follows: People who click qeue PVP= get dumped into a warzone. People who do not click qeue PVP= dont get put into a warzone. They USED to have a variable. Republic get put together against Imps. and vice versa. But it was later changed to: Same faction can be dumped together, but can fight same faction or opposing faction. Thats as complicated as bioware can handle at the moment.
  15. Just curious. I'm not hating on BW or anything, i just wanna know if there is any newly broken things with this latest patch. sorry...not "broken"...but rather...."undocumented features". Seriously....anything new break with this patch that i should look forward to?
  16. they were sorcs...and there healing was higher then there DPS... They were healers....or bad bad players. but considering we couldn't kill any of them...i'm gonna go with cross healing ftw
  17. Guard from tanks is not the problem. Tanks taking that much extra damage fall just as fast as anyone else. The problem is still how overpowered the healers are. if a healer can keep himself and his tank alive while 4 dps classes beat on them...the problem is the heals need a nerf. At most a tank and healer should stall there own deaths a bit. Not be unstoppable. When my GF and i roll our tank/healer combo...we can easily hold our own against 4-5 people. And in all fairness...its not my guard that makes that possible. most of it comes from me stunning them long enough for her big heals. She is a Operative and i'll gladly admit its all her heals that keep us alive. Heals need the nerf, not guard. When i guard any other class...it just means DPS kills us both super fast because i absorb half of there damage. its the heals that make me unstoppable.
  18. I am NOT exaggeration sadly. I wish i got a screenshot of the final stats. But every single one of the enemies had at least 100k-150k healing in that round. With the main healer around 450k So much cross healing that we couldn't touch them!
  19. PLEASE bioware.... Try and find a way to fix this.... Last night i was added to a warzone with the WORST imbalance i have ever seen. Both sides where imperial. We loaded into a voidstar simulation match. My Team: 6 Marauders 2 Juggs ( i was jugg) Enemy team. 7 Sorcs 1 Operative There entire team was healers (with range abilites). Our entire team was melee DPS. Think about that bioware. SAME FACTION. why the hell couldn't we have had some healers on OUR team? Oh...and i should mention that it wasn't premades. I checked. I didn't see ANY of the same guild tags. There is obviously a chance they are friends who aren't in the same guild etc. But the whole team? unlikely.... needless to say we got rolled. And i dont even care that we lost. I just think its really REALLY stupid that it can't be a bit more balanced.
  20. I agree with many points people are bringing up. Skill plays a big part in PVP. i'm not saying someone with better gear DESERVES to win. Far from it. Gear shouldn't give you THAT much of an advantage. and in most cases...it wont. Someone like me, who plays ALL classes...and know all the strengths and weakness of each class, will always out perform someone who only plays one, then rages when he can't figure out why another class has an edge on his class. But...the one truth...the one point i cant comprimise on remains. PVP needs to be progressive. Several of you suggested it should be 100% even playing field, and gear shouldn't matter. Skill should. That is flawed. it can't work in a game that has several classes. Some classes out do other classes etc. gear is the variable. The one thing people seem to forget when balancing a game from a design standpoint...is that classes are essentially Rock, paper, scissors in nature. One class is better at different things then others. and in some cases...might always get an edge on one particular class. But on the same hand...even though he murders one class...will always loose to a different class. It might rage the "entitlement crowd" who think they should have a fair shot against everyone. but that is not how class balance in most game works. that is why its a TEAM game. people need to work together to win. Not whine, and expect the devs to bolster them so they can "IWIN" anyone. Furthermore...if we all were the same....why would people PVP after a few rounds. it would get boring and repetitive and the game would die. PVP-wise anyway. I'm sure the PVE'er would still be fine. But really...there needs to be some reason to PVP.
  21. Anyone who says gear shouldn't matter in PVP is clearly new to MMOS. Progression is key. Not all players are equal. nor should they be. This is a modern day entitlement problem young people have. everything has to be "fair". They are brought up getting medals for participation and told they are all winners. That is not how life works. Nor is it how PVP should work. Some people WILL be better geared then you. In which case...you learn to out play them, or die. Dying in this game has no meaning...so its not that big of a deal. Anyone who has played older MMO's that actually had real progression...also had to deal with perma death or having gear and money looted on death. This MMO is already easy mode. Arguing that you can not choose your challenge level in PVP is not a valid arguement. Its PLAYER vs PLAYER. Players are unpredictable. thats the apeal. MORE risk, MORE challenge. Maybe its super easy cause you are facing a bunch of weak derps. But maybe you go against a skilled team who knows there class. Eitherway...its part of the risk involved. Even playing fields are for FPS games. Not progression based games. Anyone who says otherwise has entitlement issues and wants skill handed to them. Sorry buttercup, but thats not how life or pvp works. You will die, you will lose, and you will be stronger for it. Things should not be even for everyone. If you work harder, you get better gear. If you have better gear and you still suck...you will STILL die. So its not unfair or over powered. Saying its unfair is just a whiny excuse. In EVERY other MMO that has real progression and PVP. a skilled player will still kill a geared player if he knows how. If that kind of challenge is to scary for someone...go back to PVE. Where programmed mobs can be learned and predicted for easy replay value. PVP is supposed to be unpredictable and hard....
  22. OK...the forums are livid with people disappointed in the lack of PVP updates in the "PVP update". While i agree with them, and the fact that PVP is largely ignored despite the large demand for it. This thread is NOT about either or not PVP needs more attention or not. Instead, i want to discuss the most common argument i see in those types of threads. People state that bolster was intended to balance pvp so that gear wasn't all that mattered etc. While others argue that it makes things unbalanced. My opinion: Gear should be all that matters in PVP. This is a progression based game. those who invest more time into it, should be rewarded as such. Lemme ask the PVE'ers this. Do you take newly max lvl tanks into raids? or do you require them to know the fights and be geared? Same applies to PVP. someone who has pvp'd more, grinded more....died more...should eventually have better gear. If that player is bad...gear wont save him. he'll still die if he can't play his class. BUT...if he knows what he is doing...he SHOULD have an edge. He earned it. Its no different then the best tanks, or healers having better gear and getting raid priority. ALL MMO'S are progression based. Thats the lasting appeal to them. Work for what you want, get rewarded. Games like COD all have base stats and the playing field is all even across the board etc. And those games get replaced by new versions every 6 months because they get dry and boring fast. This is NOT a game feature that works in MMO's. Even FPS games are realizing players want to be rewarded for there effort. More and more games now have unlocks and upgrades to advance your characters. As it stands...bolster makes PVP kinda pointless. If you just wanna smack around other players for a bit, great. But if you want to get better, or earn anything...then PVP fails at that. I fixed or reworked version of bolster might be ok for pre-55. since pre-55 is a large talent game between characters. lvl 30s have far less then a lvl 54. But at 55, all players have there skills and talents worked out. Gear and class knowledge should be what sets people apart. Bolster should NOT exists in 55 pvp.
  23. Blizzard will ALWAYS have class balance tweaks to make. thats true of ANY game. Players will find new ways to exploit things and/or when new things are added...they need to be adjusted. Blizzard on the other hand...does NOT usually have core game mechanics broken. especially not for more then a week tops. Even at launch! The boats from darkshore to menethal harbor would vanish...drowning players in the deep sea. what did blizz do? the VERY NEXT DAY...they added "captain placeholder" to port people there instead of sail....until it was fixed. Bioware on the other hand....pushes everything back. devotes MOST of its dev team to re skinning the same old skins with new colors...for sale on the market. while very few fixes ever get made. I'm not trying to rip on bioware...cause i do love and play this game daily. But facts are facts. and being a fanboy doesn't change the fact that this game receives the least amount of critical updates then any MMO i have ever played. and i've played every major mmo since EQ. Dont believe me? MANY of the bugs we reported back in the beta for this game...still persist. that is a fail....even if you like the game...and i do...its a fail.
  24. yep. Last night my GF and i rolled a TON of pvp matches back to back. Not a single one started fairly. Most started 4 vs 7. Sometimes we were down, sometimes the enemy was down. Matches didn't fill up till near the end when it was damn near impossible for the low sided team to make a come back. Even when i was on the winning side...it was lame. Low scores because there was no one to kill. low xp, low medals. Felt like a huge waste of time. PVP is getting worse and worse in the game. I only play for pvp...but there is no point lately. its either be rolled, or roll others. no good, fair fights. and very little incentive to fight period.
  25. Because ballistic shield is Damage reduction, not protection. Protection abilites absorb damage an ally would have taken. While DR abilites just lower it. If i guard someone, i take damage for them. If i pop ballistic shield, i just decrease how much they might take.
