It really doesn't matter what is was to you. It was not working as intended, giving healing medals to non-healers which Bioware has already shown us they wanted to discontinue. Whether you just wanted the heal, the medals, or both is not relevant. It was a broken, reusable non-reusable, right-click off-the-debuff, joke of an item. To which people were taking advantage. Why anyone can honestly say in good faith it should even exist is beyond me. It takes 15 seconds to regen. I'm sorry you don't want there to be ANY penalty for using resources and taking damage during a fight, but it doesn't belong in the warzones or in Open world PVP. The item shouldn't even exist. As for your "can't use in stealth". Okay, Vanish, LOS, break stealth, heal, right click debuff, heal, stealth profit. Still equates to easy mode.

Yes you could get medals from using medpacks, but that has been removed some time ago. It was all the more reason why Biochem was the only choice for PVP, which Bioware is adamant on trying to wean us from.

Anytime I get a negative debuff applied to my character, I just right-click it. Working as intended right? Actually you can't. But you could with the water. But even better, they removed the heal medals from using medpacks in warzones. Water still gives non-healing classes healing medals. Must be working as intended. I don't know about everyone else, but I hate having to use situational awareness. Waiting those horrid 15 seconds or so to regen fully after a fight. It's like, what gives? Does Bioware really expect us to have the mental capacity for something this difficult?

The sense of entitlement for something that was obviously not working as intended is amazing.
  5. Indeed, such as the suggestion that healers have an unlimited resource pool allowing them to, let me see if I can correctly quote: "[..] a healer can heal, literally, indefinitely." Indefinitely. For example, how about this little gem? Obviously the oppression by the 'less intelligent' and the heated ad hominems are unjustified against such astonishing logic as written above? After-all there is no problem with healers, it's just a problem of healing. Makes perfect sense. Naturally it is easy to see how those two entities are completely separate and distinctive. After all Healer != Healing, right? -- I have a 50 healer, and a 50 traited-DPS Powertech. And my Powertech has very little trouble defeating them, of course if I handle them properly. Using my interrupt on the correct heal for example. On my Sorcerer I absolutely love when people use their interrupt on the "wrong" heal. Leaving my big heal completely free and ready for use. But in the matter of any debate - nothing is ever a failure on the player's side, but rather, it's that all the elements beyond their control are imbalanced. If I lose a fight, it isn't because I did something incorrectly. It is because they used a cheap tactic, or use an overpowered build/class. If I lose a warzone, it isn't because of my own fault, it is because everyone else are scrubs, lowbees, ungeared or otherwise worthless human beings. The forums are flooded with people who share that mindset. Whether you openly show it, or display it in a passive aggressive dance makes no difference to me. It is a flawed state of logic.
  6. I can. An experienced player who understands their class, can DPS continuously too, from the same notion a healer can continue to heal. Obviously within reason for both of them. You seem to have zero experience healing in this game. Yes my issue isn't DPSers, it the DPSing they do. How is there is a distinction between the two? A DPS class is defined by, guess? Damage. Healers are defined by? Yup you guessed it, their ability to heal. I'm not saying we should nerf DPSer classes, just completely nullify the damage they do! I'm sorry you didn't want a trinity based game, but this is what TOR is. I have no issues killing healers on my 50 Powertech. And likewise, people have no issues killing my Healing 50 Sorcerer. It's typical really. When an issue is present, instead of observing everything objectively, find the scape goat. "It isn't me, it's the game". The forums are infested with it. I see this thread is no different.
  7. Nope. Have you have done damage to them prior to their death.
  8. The existing Nerf Sorcs thread wasn't sufficient enough for your post that you felt so inclined to post it again? This time in your own unique and special thread?
  9. Utility is why they have those numbers to begin with.
  10. Which is, surprisingly, your opinion. --- Regardless, as to the original post the problem is self entitlement, defeatism, immaturity and a wealth of other ego driven attitudes. No one ever accepts fault, no one ever strives to understand fundamentally why C outcome was created from A+B. Instead you see an incessant whining, a constant droning of misinformation from people unwilling to accept anything but their own opinion, their own "cold hard" facts. It's like George Carlin's bit: "Do you believe in God?" "No?" -Boom Dead!- "Do you believe in God?" "Yes." "/MY/ God?" "No?" -Boom Dead!- It brings me almost a sick enjoyment seeing some of the same names spouting the same speeches from thread to thread. Especially when they're opinions, filled with bias and anger, are wrong or exaggerated beyond the truth. The same people who think every plot of grass is greener than theirs.
  11. Was "Cent" a typo for Champ?
  12. Yes so it isn't the fact that you don't worry about their damage by your own admission, it's just annoying that they can run and heal while being completely useless to their team fleeing from you.
  13. Tank classes are defined by how they are specced. Obviously then a pyrotech isn't a tank. He won't even likely be using the tank stance "ion gas".
  14. I wouldn't mind playing Republic if the content republic side was better, and there wasn't so much overuse of yellow everywhere.
  15. A screen shot showing an atrocious performance. I would discredit the lack of kills IF the Empire team had a bunch of healing - they do not. In fact I'm almost astonished at how incredibly pathetic the end-stats are. Seriously? Did you guys run in one at a time into a fully defended turret?
  16. Mind specifically naming those "4" stuns? I reckon it would be quite the challenge.
  17. Misinformation spreads like a wildfire. Outside of that I agree with most everything you've said. The damage that you can do via crits is really where the trouble starts. I found it strange they didn't tone down your crit potential, and are instead making some changes elsewhere. I will say thought that the acidblade nerf is not necessarily a bad thing. 50% armor mitigation plus a DoT is a little over the top. 30% is still worthy of mention.
  18. Sorc and Sages do not bypass armor completely. Force lightning does NOT bypass armor. They have skills, like most classes, that use Elemental/Internal damage which DOES bypass armor. IE: DoT damage is normally internal.

    Sorcerer Nerf....

Wrong. It does energy damage. Mitigated by armor. At least if you're going to complain, complain accurately.
  20. The Nerfs are based on data, statistics. Numbers. Not whining. Georg Zoeller lives and dies by numbers. Nothing more, nothing less. He made that painfully obvious during BETA.
  21. Does Bioware's devs read the forums? Yes. Is that what they use to determine changes? No, not really. To all the people who say that Bioware is listening to the "whiny kids" on the forums, you're misguided. Georg Zoeller bases all of his changes on data. Numbers. Not necessarily how I would approach 100% of everything myself, but that's how he does it. Georg made the above fact, PAINFULLY clear during BETA. The data showed that Operatives and Scoundrels were able to burst down players faster than intended. NUMBERS, not WHINES presented that information.
  22. I am. If you bubble someone, and they take damage, it counts as healing. It's been that way in the 5 Beta builds I've played, and during live. Get a sorc to bubble himself and get hit by a tick of fire in Huttball. If he doesn't have it already he'll probably get the 2.5k heal medal. This isn't a joke.
  23. Yes the Sage/Sorc bubble counts as healing. For instance, if you bubble yourself and ran through fire during Huttball, you'd likely get the 2.5k heal medal. It counts.
  24. A sinking cruise ship is more cause for concern than who has a better mattress in their cabin. At least that's the vibe I'm getting.
