  1. Just like how you could have thought before you made a post filled to the brim with misinformation. A heavy hand normally leaves a bigger mark than a gentle tug.
  2. Can you tell us? Could you tell us? Would you? Seriously? Why would you even post something that has no basis in reality? It's remarkable. Bravo! Perhaps if you understood anything about the different specs, you might have an idea of what was going on. But that's fine, allow yourself to delve into the depths of blissful ignorance. And don't worry, when you lose, it isn't a lack of skill or gear, it's that the game hates you. You don't lose because you're not good, you lose because the class you fought is OP, even when it's your mirror class. Those damn Powertechs with their exact same skills as yours. Maybe if you tried the shared tree between Vanguard and Commando, and you might understand why you're exploding. But you know what? That's what the smart folks would do.
  3. As per my calculations, force lightning is now doing, *pushes thick black glass back, pressing them higher on my face* over ten billion damage a second.
  4. As far as I'm concerned, creating a character and getting your AC should automatically give you all the respective legacy buffs. ....And a BRAND NEW CAR!
  5. Considering the nature of the original poster, pretty sure at some point I've seen said individual plays a Shadow. And if that's true, kein gesetz.
  6. Obviously his vast grav round rotation requires a significant amount of skill and practice, but I suppose he'll be able to lower himself to the level of Marauder and Sentinel gameplay, at least because all the cool kids on his street did. I know my heart is filled with a sense of dread that he'll soon be welding two sabers in a server nearby. And though the halls of glory will be empty from his missing grav round spam, I'm sure his overpowered might will dominate and desolate us lesser beings with ease.
  7. This tidbit doesn't make much sense. What exactly are you describing? [...]easily keep someone You mean someone, as in someone other than the healing DPSer? Someone other than themselves? Are you describing a DPS class healing someone they find in a 1v1? (effectively rendering it a 2v1) And easily? Sure maybe in a 2v1. But a DPSer trying to heal the ball carrier on huttball won't do much good. A little can go a long way in "small scale" fights, but it isn't comparable to a full healing specced healer in group vs group. [...]Kill a guy they are comparable with This doesn't make any sense without a context. Who is comparable? The DPSer healing or the person being healed? And if so do you mean the person healed is comparable to the person they are fighting? You're too vague. And if you're describing a 2v1 well, that's a two versus ones. I don't know how I can suggest otherwise when I have no idea what you're even trying to convey. -- As for the person with heals wins - I can't recall the last time I've seen a non-healing specced DPS class "healed themselves" for the win in a 1v1 fight. And if they do, interrupt, or just keep pewpewing. Frankly because 3 seconds for maybe a 2-3k health return is a joke. I can do more DPS than that in those 2 GCDs. Again, what exactly are you referencing?
  8. I kinda feel like you have no idea what you're talking about. Any DPSer who wastes their resources casting a heal on themselves, at the max cast time and for the least return is only prolonging their own defeat. Anytime I see a DPS class heal, I know the fight is already over. They can't do much of any good. Even if they were trying to off-heal. They wouldn't be able to keep anyone up, and would run out of resources. Heal/DPS Hybrids are one thing, but a full DPS specced class will not be healing for much.
  9. Orange Augment gear, besides the augment bonus, and the removable mods from end-game gear, at least offers us some customization now. And I think the horrible looking 1.2 gear is exactly that - horrible. That's why even the devs have said they want some ideas and inspiration for future gear. I guess they realized, just because their art team likes it, if everyone else hates it.. I feel it shouldn't come as a surprise in a Star Wars game that feeling "star wars-ish" is vaguely important. The game already uses TONS of themes that wouldn't have even existed, but are from the movies, to add a bit of "connection" between to tie the theme together. Making this gear just seems like a crazy decision. Thankfully no one will be wearing it anyways.
  10. Self-reliance is something learned through Trial & Error and experience. From my days in LOTRO, there were people we would call "raid babies". Basically all they did was group up to have the superiority in numbers. This fostered an environment fit for breeding weak individual player-skills. When you'd find one of these raid babies alone, you'd pretty much just go to town on them without recourse. LOTRO also had a "Raid Target Assist". Raid leaders would either select themselves, or someone else as the target assist and the person's target would be visible via the UI to everyone in the raid. It made focus firing not "Hit this person" but rather "just keep clicking this box". It wasn't skillful. The people who were good solo, were good grouped - except sometimes you'd run into the issue of people who couldn't maintain the consistency of staying "chained" to group play. The urge to react and maneuver whenever and however they saw fit too overpowering to be product to the group. It's a bit of a double edged sword. The fact is, organized group vs group will boil down to skill and group composition. An organized group vs unorganized individuals grouped together, will not be a demanding task for the organized group. And shouldn't be treated as such. Communication even on a basic level is already an overwhelming advantage. Solo queue versus solo queue is a toss up. Your group composition and individual teammates will make a huge difference. It is possible in some ways to "solo the enemy team" in terms of achieving objectives - but still not reliable. For example, most solo players only think about themselves - like wolves, independently operating in hunting. They are only thinking about who they can kill without getting killed. Like in huttball when no one on your team runs to the ball. Every one runs around the parameter staring at the ball. You'll see a lot of "someone else will---" mentality in solo queues. "Oh that door on voidstar is undefended? Someone else will go and defend it, I'll go where everyone else is fighting atm" "Oh huttball? Someone will grab the ball. I know it." ".. oh look the snow turret is undefended. Someone will go there. [two minutes later] **** NOOBS y U NO D'FEND TURRET!" That's the biggest enemy in any solo queue, "someone else". It's actually amazing really. "Someone else will guard the ball carrier, I'm going to kill this healer away from the fight. Oh the ball carrier died, time to kill the new ball carrier! I GOT THE BALL? NO!! PASS PASS! Here 20% health sorc take the ball, you HAVE ZE BUBBLE!" When people focus and handle business especially with a sense of selflessness that's when you win games.
  11. Posts like this even in joking jest are just bait for those eager to accept them. There are a lot of weak minded people out there. People who do not examine their own failings, and instead scream out that every element in the universe is transpiring against them. It doesn't matter the genre of game, whether an FPS game where "everyone who kills me is a hacker" or in MMOs where "I didn't mess up during the fight, it's just I had no chance because the class I was fighting, or the spec of that class is over powered." Sometimes it's true, mostly it isn't. I have always loved the "WHY does the Sorc's force lightning bypass ARMOR!!!! Its elemental damage!" Just a brilliant example of the misinformed stating their perceived 'facts'. It almost makes you pity them.
  12. I'm assuming hopefully that it'll have augment slots, as the regular BH/WH gear won't. Unless I'm mistaken in my interpretation of the information I've seen. Otherwise as stated already, no one would ever use the gear.
