  1. It's explained here in Trivia Gallery: http://starwars.com/explore/the-clone-wars/ep613/#!/media/slideshow

Same planet, different (another) name, no retcons.

Blame Lucas, he likes to change things just because he can and because it's "his world".. Question is: why he let others create new stories? Yeah, for money, and because Star Wars is huge and worth it, and fans demanded new things, but he should respect all that was created. It's one universe, he hired people that maintain one continuity, it's not some Marvel with way too many reboots, retcons, different universes or whatever.

It's good Lucas is no more in charge, but these are difficult times for Star Wars fans - new movies and tv-series that can change many already established things if the company won't maintain their "one continuity" policy.

  2. Except for new Huttball map (first new warzone in like 16 months!?) I see nothing interesting here. Sure, new Flashpoints can be fun, but not to keep me interested for many hours.

Can't wait for new expansions, but it looks like coming months are going to be really boring and empty so I think I will just take a break from game for some time...

  3. We could well be seeing the first in a very long line of face-slapping rewrites and edits in Disney making its new canon. Considering that Korriban was established as the homeworld of the Sith long before even KoTOR was ever imagined, this is cause for great concern amongst the community.

No matter what, dark times lay ahead.

Script for Season 6/Bonus Conent was written few years ago and it will be Lucas's fault if Korriban's name will be changed.

  4. It's really hard for me to belive that.

They can't take Korriban from SWTOR/KotOR and rename it. We saw concept arts and Korriban looked exactly like the current version from SWTOR. By doing this, changing basic lore so much... it's like a punch in faces of all Star Wars fans. I don't like this idea and I still hope that we will see both Korriban AND Moriband, or it will be explained somehow, or it's just an error.

  5. To be fair, every child in germany learns english in school. For getting any job in industry or economics, you need to be at least good at reading english.

And still our financial power is big enough to get a synchronization of most every game and absolute every movie (including movies, that noone wants to see).

    Same goes for France/french.

And that is because of country law, isn't it? And Germany is a big market so it is obvious that EA didn't wanted to miss that.

I learned English in school but I think that video games and movies helped a lot in the process. I always choose English dub and subtitles because the quality is always better, and there is always something more to learn.

  6. 1. My idea

My idea is to put dynamic event that will start every Friday/Saturday/Sunday evening (may be the whole week, but that's not really important detail) in Republic and Imperial Fleet Cantinas. Usual boring music will be replaced by electronic/club music, not only licensed work of some less known artists, but also remixes of current cantina songs created by fans of SWTOR and submitted to the contest (in-game title and credit on swtor.com as reward of using given remix in-game).

For example, music from Purgatory Club (Mass Effect 3):

    2. Why

This place is the most dead place in both Fleets. There is nothing interesting to do over there. I saw RP going on few times during 3k hours of playing the game, but except for VIP area there is nothing that would bring people there. Also, after so many hours of playing the game I really started to hate (I used to love) that music, playing over and over. We need something fresh and exciting. It could bring more players into that area, and it could be really nice community socializing tool.

    3. Optional ideas

    - colorful lights for the time of the party to make it look like a true club

    - additional items in Cantina vendors that will be only sold during the party (different one-use toys)

    - Drunk ability sold in Cartel Market (because EA loves CM): something similar to Sprint, but will change our walk into something similar to being drunk (can be turned on and off)

  7. Bringing Korrealis back was a tiny mistake, I agree, but still, this mount is different from those pre-1.2.

Thing that bothers me is that they introduced pets, crystals and companion customizations from the first Rakghoul event. Well, maybe it's not that terrible and we should have expect that, but I was able to buy few (!) crystals on the first day, so they are not rare and exclusive like they used to be, but they are now the most easy to obtain in the whole game! I don't understand that. Also 50:1 exchange rate from old DNA samples is too low IMO.

  8. They don't even move!

On Tomb of Freedon Nadd there was (is?) a lot of people just standing at spawn point. Sometimes they move forward slowly and crash, but nothing move. 0 points of EVERYTHING, the whole match!

I always reported those people. Some of them were doing that WHOLE DAY, this is why I quit playing GSF. Some of those people were not just bots, but real people that just "didn't give a ****", they just farmed requisition. I think they got banned, but I think that there is still no system that would kick AFK-ers.

  9. I'm sure Iger is a secret EU fan. :)

Assumpions aside, I should remind you that Iger mentioned EU in the video in which they announced that Disney bought Lucasfilm: "17 thousand characters", "several thousand planets", "20 thousand years". They did not just bought an opportunity to create new movies, but they bought whole Star Wars franshise.

    Video:

  10. Yes, they're going to go monkeying around with a setting 3000+ years before the post-ROTJ EU stuff.

The article plainly states that they're mostly doing this to clear out space for Kasden to write the next trilogy without being constrained by the EU's existence.

    Stop freaking out.

The article is ASSUMING that they are doing this to clear out space for Kasdan (!) and Abrams to write the next trilogy. BUT the EU is so much connected that it is really difficult to write next movies and assume that they are not going to influence EU set before Return of the Jedi.

And to be honest I don't see why it would be difficult to write next movies set after Fate of the Jedi. The only thing they have to do is to use some of the characters currently established in EU like Jaina and Ben (they are pretty awesome and could work fine on the bigh screen), and follow some of the relations between movie characters (like Han and Leia being together). It won't be so hard for casual movie-goer to understand the setting. They don't have to mention Yuuzhan Vong or Jacen Solo.

Even if they won't follow EU, probably they will release new books and comics set between RotJ and EpVII - what is the chance that those stories will be of higher quality than current ones that you consider "bad"?

  11. Also this article is pathetic and the guy who wrote it has no idea what he is talking about. Move along and don't feed ****** "journalists".

SWTOR is part of EU and it is based mostly on EU (planets, races, history, whole lore) both pre- and post-RotJ, so the future of canon is strictly tied to the future of SWTOR. I want this game to stay canon or I'm out :)

  12. I don't.

All I need to do is look at the situation. They're planning to write three more movies about the post-ROTJ SW universe. There's already a bunch of crap out there in that time. Solution: Burn it down so that Kasden doesn't have to waste his time trying to fit his script into a timeline glutted with terrible characters and nonsensical stories.

I hope they get rid of everything except the distilled Thrawn character. Other than finding a place for him in the script, they can burn it all down and it'll actually make for a better SW universe.

It is just your opinion. I loved NJO and Fate of the Jedi, and Jaina Solo is my favorite character in Star Wars universe.

    Thrawn is overrated.
