  1. Ok, clearly I missed an important point if this is in fact the case. I don't have a problem with PvP happening on an open world PvP server. But if there's no chance to retreat, that's not great and should probably be changed so you can at least get away and come back later.

I agree, when one faction is facerolling other people at spawn point, it's difficult to call it PvP. I never experienced that, because for the first days of Early Access, when I spent most time on Yavin 4, people were focused on the story and avoided conflict, but I understand it might be difficult now to progress, when people just get bored more often.

Are there not Sanctuary zones on PVP servers?

If there are, then the Yavin IV staging area seems to be the type of zone that should be a Sanctuary.

If there aren't, then Yavin IV staging area wouldn't be...

    There are.

    It should be.

  2. The one disappointment I had with the expansion is that there are no cut scenes for NPC interactions on side quests for Rishi or Y4. Rather, you just hear the talk and get the mission box (e.g., cookie-cutter RPG format). Disappointing. That aspect discouraged me from bothering with side quests because that format doesn't engage you in a story the way the cut-scene format does.

I actually like this. Feels like Diablo. It's much better than repeatitive and boring cutscenes (that would kill the immersion and distract players from the main storyline), and much much better than boxes with walls of text (see: Czerka, Section X, Black Hole etc.). I hope they will stick to this idea for side and daily quests.

  3. Sorry for the burn Kurin! :mon_trap:

To your last question (which I made bold above), I have great news... We are working on publishing some data this week! We are targeting Wednesday, so keep your eyes on the front page of swtor.com.

I love all kinds of data, and seeing something official about SWTOR would be really nice! Thanks!

  4. This problem was discussed many times, mostly in PvP subforum.

But yeah, you are right, Ranked PvP is a joke. I just had a game with a guy with no Advanced Class and no gear, who did absolutely nothing (except for using "sit" emote). Game before that, I had one guy with no Advanced Class in enemy team. Yeah, we won, but it wasn't that easy since we had fresh 55 with green gear and Valor Rank 14.

Ranked should be limited to players with PvP gear (2018 expertise, which means they have some experience in regular PvP) and a least Valor 50. I have no idea why BioWare is using some logic of "limiting" access to content (yep, they said that they don't want to limit access to any of the content), since my access to Nighmare Ops is also limited because I don't have a gear. Also, Arenas are accessible through normal que.

I want BioWare to say "we were wrong, we are very sorry, we will fix this after 3.0".

  5. They have no marketing.

Yeah, tv commercials are expensive, but what I don't understand is why they are not putting anything on Star Wars Facebook page, starwars.com, Insider, or even why official SW twitter is not retwitting SWTOR news. They are only advertising this game on their own channels, hoping that they potential customers will hear about it somehow. There are even no news about SWTOR content in Star Wars fansites, I saw some on Jedi News but it was all sent to them by one of the SWTOR fansites (and linked to their own articles).

  6. This is funny. According to a bunch of morons that post on these forums. No one has ever cheated at Swtor nor has it ever(or will ever be) possible for a single cheat, glitch, hack, or exploit to be used. . .

I wonder where all of those white knights are at now?

They even lost their famed battlecry "Screenshot or it didn't HAPPEN!!!!"

Easy solution: make a video of a cheater and show us.

Some people did, and still in most cases it wasn't cheating, but people having lags, or simply misunderstanding how certain classes/abilities work.

  7. You would certainly know when Bioware will made some action about it.

Its when you wont find this thread on forum.

Well, I got a response from CS on my Ticket yesterday (saturday evening), so they most probably banned him.

  8. Actually seeing such comments directed toward Hillary usually makes me angry, but I don't recall the last Hillary/Courtney stream being as bad as you're making it out to be. I am one of those useless optimists though and fully admit my memories tend to be rose colored.

Seeing such comments directed towards anyone is not pleasant, but I have seen those during every stream, doesn't matter who from Community Team is playing. I think we just have to deal with a fact that there are bad people out there seeking for attention, just like in real life, and you can't really avoid them entirely.

  9. This is fairly close! This change (and the Character Screen change in a different thread) were scheduled for a later update and ended up getting pulled into 2.10.2 at the last minute, so the changes weren't found when I was compiling the notes for this update.

I'm going to add the new notes to the 2.10.2 notes ASAP, as it is most certainly a noteworthy change!

Wow, this is awesome! You actually listen to us, thanks.

Now I just need non-holo companions to be 100% happy with Strongholds :)

  10. I'm amazed by the amount of people that do not understand what Closed Invite only test server means.

Posting "sign me up" is not going to get you a slot.

It might. I think BioWare would do a right thing to take players that are active on the forums that care about the game and will most likely provide feedback. It's better than sending e-mail invites to random people (which I think they did, or will do, just like with RotHC).
