  1. My experience with Flashpoints and decoration drops is great.

The False Emperor - 2 runs on HM: 3 drops of the statue (2 from bonus boss, 1 from Malgus).

The False Emperor - 1 run in SM, nothing.

The Battle of Ilum - 2 runs on HM: 2 drops from bonus boss.

    Tython - 2 runs and 1 drop.

So it is not terrible, it's good actually. I do those with my friend, so we are aiming for at least 2 decorations from those runs, and it's fun.

  2. Again go look up all the info on "Legends" canon, until new canon is produced it is still considered semi-canon. I dont know what you people have against that but i know some people have been wanting EU to be completely demolished. There's a reason they spent 3 press releases saying "It's not non-canon. It's stories of what happened. They may be inaccurate, but it's what people believe happened". Infact i think that quote is on starwars.com

I have read EVERY SINGLE EU BOOK, and I would never want EU to be demolished, I just follow everything that is Star Wars related, especially if it is EU-related, and I understand that there is only one Canon now and SWTOR is not part of it. We are talking about CANON, things that are importand for the future Star Wars stories, not about Legends, things that might have happened, but-who-knows-what-the-next-book/movie-will-change.

Sorry, but I won't continue this disscusion here, because it is not only unrelated to Manaan (Manaan is non-canon, but Selkath species appeared in The Clone Wars), but also boring and annoying.

  3. You obviously need to go re-read the press-release and interviews with Lucasfilm staff.

No, you have to go re-read the press release.

There is no difference between post- and pre-RotJ. Only movies and The Clone Wars are Canon, plus upcoming novels, comics and Rebels. Expanded Universe is just something they can use, but it's nothing more than source of inspiration.

  4. I want my Stronghold to be full of NPCs, Companions and Pets, this is why I'm so excited about housing.

It makes me sad to think about me sitting alone in this huge Tatooine Stronghold. Sure, I will invite some friends to see how I decorate my house, but how many of them will join me? 3? 4? And for how long they will sit there? 15 minutes?

Stronghold can hold lots of players, so why it can't hold lots of NPCs? Planets, flashpoints and operations are full of them and we don't have any issues.

  5. Still didn't received any information from BioWare. My question about this issue was ignored during live stream, so I see 2 options here:

    1. BioWare has no idea what Lucasfilm is doing, and they are ashamed to admit it

    2. BioWare knows that SWTOR is no longer Canon, and they are afraid that if they will admit it, people will leave

I don't want to wait till the release of Episode VII (or any next movie, or spin-off) to see this game disregarded, and because BioWare/Lucasfilm don't want to provide any statement about this issue, I still have my hopes for it being part of Canon. Annoying, tiresome, unnecesary.

  6. It always worked like that.

If you are Sub on Day A, you get rewards, even if they will work during Day B -> Day C (early access) time period. You can unsubscribe between Day A and Day B, or even after Day B, but you will have your rewards ready after Day C (official launch, end of early access). Of course you can resub before or during early access time period and get access to your Day A rewards earlier.

  7. So... only speculation. And a lot of confusion, especially I saw that on Reddit in past 2 days.

It really doesn't matter how anyone understood SWTOR in the past. It was part of Expanded Universe, yes, and for me it was part of one canon, but it's not important right now. Everything from now on, all upcoming novels, comics and games will be part of one canon, there is no "EU".

Also, there is no difference between "pre-RotJ Era" and "post-RotJ Era", it's just something they mentioned because of Episode VII. All books, no matter when set, are now labeled as "Legends", here are examples:

    https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7087/13990483556_e12a6dc25d_c.jpg and https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7188/13990482356_79070bc0e0_c.jpg

SWTOR is now considered as "Legends", but it's an ongoing project. They cut an ongoing trilogy, and labeled 2 first books as "Legends", but last one is now considered as part of one-true-true-new-canon. That could mean, that anything until now related to SWTOR is non-canon, but any future expansions and patches are part of one canon. But it just creates bigger mess.

Why I care? Because I care about continuity, I love Star Wars, and I know EU. Expanded Universe for me is more important than movies. Episodes were just something that introduced me to this larger world. I love when there are references to other projects all over books that are not set in same Era. Hell, Luke was on Korriban and Dromund Kaas, I thought it was awesome!

Sure, they don't have to create problems with SWTOR, but if this game is labeled as "Legends" now, I just don't care, because it is as important as adventures of my other favorites characters like Jaina Solo, which are just "an inspiration" now.

And also I want things to be clarified. SWTOR as ongoing project, yet labeled as "Legends"? Something is wrong with that. Easy question - easy answer, right? I don't trust Lucasfilm anymore, because I basicly own every book ever released, and they are just irrelevant (but hey, maybe they are telling true and they will use those characters and basic concepts and all? but I don't know that until Episode VII), so I want to know if the game I play is also irrelevant for future Star Wars projects.

  8. anyway, the announcement was about post rotj EU material, that is the stuff that is now "legend". KOTOR as well as SWTOR stories and lore are not in conflict with the new movies or limiting the new movies in away. so it will remain as cannon.

and really, would you have wanted the new movies to be handcuffed to some of the bad post rotj EU stuff? its good that they are tossing it all. they hinted that they may incorporate some of the EU stuff into the new movies, so the really good stuff could still survive as canon.

There are better stories in Post-RotJ EU than those told in Star Wars movies.

And why they have to be handcuffed? Just set new movies after Fate of the Jedi and use already established characters. Nothing difficult.

And they didn't said that KotOR and SWTOR are not in confitct with new materials. This is why I want an official statement from EA, BioWare or Lucasfilm Story Group. What if Abrams wants to create new backstory for the Sith Empire? They can do anything, and casual movie-goers will buy it.

  9. How is the money spent on EU stuff "worth nothing"?

Used books usually have little to no value anyway and only you can decide if the money spent was worth it in terms of enjoyment received from spending it.

No. I spent my money for official continuation of Star Wars Saga. SWTOR was official backstory for Star Wars Saga and used a lot from the EU. Now, since they stated everything that was published before "A New Dawn" is non-canon, why should I bother? I want official statement about SWTOR because I don't want to play a game that is irrelevant.

  10. One question: is it still canon? Because all my money I spend on EU is now worth NOTHING and I don't want to spend anything on something that is irrelevant to the whole Star Wars Universe. So is SWTOR canon or not? I don't want any speculation, I want statement. One simple question, I keep my sub on or I don't.
  11. Not the game's fault then, is it?

Somehow it is. Before Group Finder, it was impossible to do Flashpoints without taking specific quests, and going to specific locations. Ilum is a good example - players will just queue for all new FP's that are available without any warning that there is a longer story involved.

  12. Totally understand how that would be annoying! Updating the Holonet and other areas of SWTOR.com is one of my big projects this year. I do not have a timeline for you yet since this is a pretty big undertaking, but we are actively working on this behind the scenes!

You should also create some kind of a an Official Story Guide here on swtor.com, and maybe somehow incorporate it into the game... Thing is, I see how my friends (new to the game) are doing all the stories in wrong order (for example playing The False Emperor with GF but without The Battle of Ilum and quests on Ilum, or taking Makeb quests before finishing Chapter 3 which is common). Just a thought. Story in this game is important, but there are so many quests and FP's and Ops around that new people are confused. I know there are guides online, but they are hard to find, and players are too lazy to check them...

  13. This new Warzone is really awesome, but I'm mostly getting Civil War and Voidstar... So I really doubt this increased chance for Quesh is working. But if it is working, then I would suggest to BioWare to increase a chance for Huttball in general. I read on PTS forum that Huttball in general will not pop more often than earlier, but there will be just two maps to make it more diverse. I don't think it is a good idea: after launch we had 1/3 chance to get Huttball, and now after Novare, Hypergates and Arenas showed up, it's probably 1/6... So 1/12 to play Quesh. It's a shame.
  14. Hello,

this is my little suggestion for people responsable for the official Facebook page of SWTOR.

Problem is, that currently comments are basicly sorted chronologically from oldest to newest. My suggestion is: change that, so that on top we could see most liked comments, and all that hate and trash comments could be hidden below. It's working on most sites I watch, for example here: https://www.facebook.com/StarWars So I see no reason it won't work in our fanpage. I'm really tired of all those haters and idiots that are constantly commenting, but every valuable and positive comment gets always lots of likes, so it will work for sure. Also, it's easier to have a conversation in this system, because it's possible to write a reply to other people's comments.
