  1. wow, $200 a month on coins....you must have won the game a long time ago. i bet people are mad that you bought your way to victory. me? i don't care. but some people are upset that you won with real world cash. you best be careful out there.
  2. It means you won the game. I suspect you won because of cartel coins and didn't play for hours on end to win. Congratulations on winning.
  3. I have had bracers out there for 100 credits, they just don't sell. Nobody wants some of this crap.
  4. I heard that if you have legacy 40 the Ewok is free, you just have to pay 1M in shipping and handling charges.
  5. Solo players don't "win" a MMO. And if they do, their definition of win can't possibly stop anyone else from accomplishing anything they want to in game.
  6. I'm going to buy this Ewok thing and walk right through all the Nighmare mode ops. I can't wait. Like $20 out of my pocket and I will be soloing world bosses. Disposable income is the best.
  7. It pretty much is free for a 40 Legacy player. 1M credits to someone with 40 Legacy is not much at all. Assuming they want to earn the credits and not just pay it out of their surplus it'll take a legacy 40 player about 3hrs to earn.
  8. I'll be shocked and surprised if you can trade/sell them.
  9. Are you logged into a different server than the rest of your characters are on?
  10. then they come back here.....i guess EA doesn't really need to worry about people quitting if everyone just keeps coming back because there isn't anything out there.
  11. When people quit this game where do they go? I see all these people quitting and I doubt they are just up and quiting MMOs so where are they going? Apparently WOW is losing people left and right, the forums here indicate that this game is losing people left and right....which game are all these people going to?
  12. definitely agree. i had to delete lots of quests to make room for the makeb and binocular, etc stuff.
  13. I also go with something like a 2 8 36. I don't have the tree handy though. I haven't pvped too much because I haven't played too much. But when I did pvp I did well. Which is about the ceiling for me. I am not a top tier pvper.
  14. Tips: Watch some walkthroughs on the interwebs to see when you should pop your skills. First time through focus on the main objectives and not crashing into things. Except for Sith ships (well on the pub side) those things hit hard so I suggest taking them out. Don't hit rocks. Watch the walkthrough again.
  15. I like it because now I can compare my PVP skills on an even footing with people. Before I never knew if I was good or bad at PVP because I never knew what gear I had on in comparison to someone else. (I could get an idea, but never know for sure) Now that we are all naked I can actually figure out my PVP skills relative to other folks. Having said that, I fully expect them to fix this ASAP, it clearly is not the intent. If it were then all the comms and gear would be pointless. They didn't put all that in the game to be pointless. In the meantime until they fix it, I will have fun seeing how I stack up on a even playing field with folks.
  16. Sure, I would have liked to see it take a little longer to level....but all in all I think that I am getting my $10 worth.
  17. I usually just log out and log in and it is fixed. It is faster for me to do that than to change the stuff back in preferences.
  18. they could also go retrieve something from your cargo hold for you.
  19. schools too. so the one person on the development team probably had to stay home with their daughter that day.
  20. the way i read the posting you will have to wait until the next maintenance patch to get back to raiding. maybe that will be sooner rather than later. but if it is tuesday then no raiding this weekend for you.
  21. a fair point. it gets murky when you are talking about selling virtual currency. an office to a cash strapped state is probably considered a retail presence for virtual currency. as an aside, and probably to your point, in a lot of states now services are taxed under the sales tax umbrella, so the office counts there.
  22. EA probably has a physical presence in quite a few states. Even a small office would count. I don't believe states have yet made the reach to get sales tax regardless of a physical presence. That would be tough because lots of states have use taxes. Essentially use taxes are just sales taxes for stuff you buy out of state. So if state A tried to change its sales tax law to include places where it has no physcial presence, for instance state B, then state A would possibly be taking use tax income away from state B. State B would not be happy. This generally only plays out in the case of buying a car. Most people don't report their use tax to states as it is mostly a self reported tax.
  23. thank you for the clarification. i try to stay up to date on the boards, but i completely missed that thread.
  24. Right now states are all redefining what services fall under the sales tax umbrella so to speak. I wouldn't be shocked if CA or AZ or any state that Bioware/EA has a presence in changed what goods and/or services require sales tax to be added to the purchase. I would be surprised though if someone from Ohio, like me, bought the coins and got charged CA sales tax. The sales tax should be paid to where the good/service is used. For me this is Ohio. For example if I buy something from Best Buy online they charge me Ohio sales tax because that is where I live and will most likely be utilizing whatever I bought. Although an interesting argument could be made that the cartel coins are really used whereever the server is physically located....
