Not quite, you just have to be the appropriate level. I have a few alts that never progressed their class story past Voss because I skipped ahead to Makeb at lvl 47. You can do the SoR storyline without it, but there will be a mission part way through that requires you to advance your class missions.

Did you actually even check, or are you just making things up? Every server is at "standard" except the RP servers, which have smaller capacity.

You missed a few things by coming in this late. The good news is an article I read several months ago hinted that they have a story line worked out for the next 3 or 4 years. So as long as folks keep playing, and Bioware keeps making money, there's no reason not to. People have been sounding the death of this game since it first came out. Five minutes AFK against Revan will get you killed. You have to at least be there for the bubble phase.

Warning to anyone else who runs into this issue: If you begin Rishii before completing the Prelude chain, it will glitch the "speak to a local" that SHOULD transition from Prelude to Chapter 5. But since I already started, he won't talk to me and I can't get the reward or clear that mission from my log.

Did the following missions work as intended? I skipped those and moved on to Rishii, and when I got to the <Blood Hunt> portion, the solo mission popped like it was supposed to. I'm thinking what ever is off with this first mission will right itself once I'm past Koriban.

That's not "not skipping" that guy was obviously having major lag issues. The other guy was merely being a jerk, and you could easily have 2-manned it with companions. When I enter a flashpoint for the first time, or the first time in several months, I say so from the start. It's just polite and generally softens the attitude of my team mates if I make a mistake with the mechanics.

You do realize how wrong this is, right? DPS should never be tanking. It kind of sucks to be mDPS on a boss that is best kited, but that's how it goes.

Totally false!! After a while you know the script by heart and could play act the cut scenes word for word. We get that there are new players, and would appreciate a heads up if this is your first time through this particular one instead of making us stare at the "waiting" message endlessly.

It wasn't just "green geared characters they couldn't play". You had to be geared in full ops raiding gear and even then the mechanics made it difficult for a guild run with voice chat. Forget about trying to pug it. Pugging HM EC was easier.

So why is it you don't guard the healer? If the DPS aren't pulling mobs away from the healer, and therefore taking agro, then the healer is going to build agro on anything the tank hasn't hit.

Well, two things. 1. Does it seem to work for you? I don't subscribe to the semi-religious dogma that only the current top end parsing spec can ever be considered "viable". If you're not actively raiding HM/NiM and a respec means the difference between success and enrage @ 3%, go with what works for you. 2. How does it parse? If you're on one of those teams, you'll certainly want to know you can pull your weight come raid night or look like this:

What??? People can't be expected to actually WORK for it!! Alts you say? Oh no! that's too much effort. Me and my 3 buddies should be able to conquer an entire planet in a single afternoon the same as those big guilds with their dozen alts each burning through mats like there's no tomorrow. We want a conquest system that recognizes that my single character, in a single afternoon, is higher QUALITY.... That's what this thread is all about, right?
