  1. As an alternative to "leap" abilities (sentinel, vangaurd etc) I'll sometimes use rocket boost so I don't jump out of range of my companion. Works best if there's a barrier the companion AI can't figure out how to jump over and will try to go around, leaving me without heals. It cancels instantly when I have agro, but my companion respawns fully charged and ready to go.
  2. Welcome back! I've got a Tartarus/Naga combo too. You don't need nearly all of those hot-bars. I have 1-10 bound to the tartarus keypad's first two rows as well as tab, f5, W, f6 and f7 on the top row. W of course makes driving/running simpler, and I can steer with the thumb stick. I can still move using the mouse, but I've found my hand cramps from gripping the mouse too tightly. The center mouse buttons are bound to Ctrl and Alt. So the second bar starts with Ctrl+Tab (usually a CC ability) then Ctrl+2 through Ctrl+10. I leave Ctrl+1 as companion attack command for simplicity. The 11th and 12th spots on each bar are bound to the F5 and F6. On my scoundrel/agents they are used for stealth and neural dart. I've found healers with a tank companion to be the most forgiving in solo mode. If I can be any help, please feel free to inbox me.
  3. Same on Republic fleet. Please fix it. This shouldn't be a huge issue to fix. Thanks.
  4. if the droid is stopped, 2 people can talk to him. No waiting needed. (did this myself once) If you do miss it, just run ahead of the droid to the next light pole.
  5. as of yesterday, she was still there on pub fleet.

  7. Agreed!! By far the easiest of the 3 tank classes for tanking. Also, troopers get a healing companion sooner than many other classes which is a HUGE help.
  8. For what it's worth, there are several sniper rifles available that LOOK like standard length models. The sniper bow-caster available from the BBS vendor on fleet is on example.
  9. Ditto. Twinks are not possible in SWTOR because you gain XP in pvp matches. There is no way to freeze at one level and stock pile pvp comms. The nearest I've been able to do is by pre-loading several sets of legacy gear so you've got a full set of of purple every 4-6 levels. Works amazingly well if you also unlock Treek. Roll a Trooper and just steam-roll through like a freight train!
  10. I miss the good ole days when a bug allowed you to spend CC and unlock all three speeder levels at level 1. What?? Who doesn't enjoy driving the magic school bus? <How I referred to those mid levels when your star ship becomes crowded with free-loading oafs.>
  11. I can't seem to find where people are getting their info on the upcoming expansion. In particular, what's this about losing our old companions? I've spent boatloads of credits building affection and now they're just taking them away and I have to start over with new ones I didn't even like as NPCs? Could someone post a link to the actual SWTOR post so I can see for myself. I can't seem to find it.
  12. Not exactly the place for a Windows question. Have you tried taking the CD out and just seeing if it will boot up?
  13. If you're buying them for a specific item, a better strategy might be to sell the packs and use the proceeds to buy it off the GTN.
  14. To be fair: 1. The event lasts a week. 2. The randomly spawned mobs only spawn in the city near the spaceport. Get out of that city, you should be safe unless you wonder up to the event-world boss.
  15. This thread is a great example of why we need a mission filter which I suggested here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=823209
  16. The mission panel needs a filter option. If I only want light side Diplomacy missions (for example) and I only want the Rich/Bountiful missions, it can take as many as six load screens to get the mission I want to rotate to the list. My suggestion is fairly simple. Put a check box on each mission so I can check the ones I wish to filter out. Put Filter button, and a Clear Filter button at the top of the panel. Added benefit. No more need to hop between locations means less server resources being used by crafters who just want to reset their missions.
  17. Aside from reviving a long dead post, why would you want to craft them anyway? Commendation gear is cheap and easy to obtain, and you have better control over stats.
  18. Wrong, You've been repeatedly throwing up garbage posts like this to get people to click your referral link.
  19. Don't put Lord or Master as any part of your character name. Those are titles you earn later in your story and will look like a giant neon sign saying "I'm a NOOB" hanging over your head. Same goes for Darth.
  20. You are SO right here! Crafting at early levels takes credits to learn each new recipe, and it's iffy at best if you can even sell your goods, while there is always a market for materials.
  21. For Imperial players, there's a Heroic quest that rewards you with a moddable off-hand. This is the first one available in the game unless you get very lucky running a flashpoint, or purchase a legacy one from the Gree, which you won't be able to do if you're new.
  22. Another tip you may find useful if using Treek. Give her legacy gear each time you upgrade, and you can pass the already modded gear on to future toons. This will save you a ton of comms in the future. RotHC gives you several free sets with every new character.
  23. Dulfy doesn't give a % chance. Just that it's higher on 16-man. http://dulfy.net/2013/04/08/swtor-patch-2-0-operation-loot-tables/
  24. Alternatively, I've found gearing Treek for damage, and putting her in tanking stance to be quite effective for the vast majority of fights. If you use rocket boots to your next fight, she will be back to 100% as soon she respawns. Also, her AOE abilities won't break your CC's, unlike other companions.
