  1. Each time you die from the plague you get 5 more DNA samples.
  2. To the best of my knowledge, there are no oranges of vibroknives or shotguns. Just like there are no orange shields, focus or generators. They are not actually weapons (based on the game mechanics) so there is no reason to make them orange. But at least we can RE them to purple now.
  3. I understand what you are saying, and I would suggest that you stick with TOR a while. And a big part of that is because I am unaware of any other sci-fi MMOs that are worth playing, other than EvE and that is a completely different type of game. It is good, but it ditched the "learning curve" for a "learning cliff", and is all ship based to begin with. I like going down to planets.

  5. You can get 11 DNA samples from doing the quests.. and if you let yourself die from the plague you get 5 more.. that makes 16. And, you can get the plague and die again for 5 more.. rinse and repeat. Just takes some time. Rakghoul pet here I come.
  6. I loved the FP on hardmode, was a lot of fun. Fights were tough, but not as bad as some reports made them out to be. All in all, I think Lost Island is very well done. But I agree with the OP, 1 Tionese Commendation is a rather poor reward, especially since all the bosses are dropping Columi and the last boss drops Rakata. So, if you keep getting unlucky you will eventually get enough Tionese commendations to buy gear that is a step below what you get in the FP. That is a poor reward, IMO. I would be happy if it dropped 2 Columi Commendations on HM and 1 Columi on SM. And I do not think that would cause any problems with giving out gear too fast. This FP is not easy.
  7. Are the Artifice Relics still BoP? Or is it now possible for Artifice to craft and sell Rakata Relics on the GTN?
  8. I am pretty sure that BW does not expect people to unlock every Legacy perk in less than a week. Remember that most (if not all) of these perks are a 1 time purchase for all characters on a server, and that once purchased it will never go away. I realize that many people do not have over 1,000,000 credits. But be honest here... were you trying to save the cash? I suspect that you were not. You were using the cash that you had to improve your game experience by buying existing items when you wanted them (and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that). Now you have a reason to save your credits for a large purchase. Once people have a reason to save their credits (and increase their credit income) they will most likely find that it is not that hard, as many people have already pointed out. Some of the Legacy unlocks may not be worth the credit cost to some people... So don't buy it. It never hurts to have options. Right now, Legacy unlocks stop at Legacy 25... we still have 25 more Legacy levels worth of perks to unlock. Just because something is not listed on the *Coming Soon* tab does not mean it is never coming. I would love it if they allowed more items to be free with a higher Legacy level, ie. Neutral GTN Kiosk at Legacy 25 for 5 million, or free with Legacy 50 (just an example).
  9. I would expect that the quarterly numbers will also include the number of people which are currently enjoying thier 30 days of free time, and that it will be noted as an addendum to the report of active subscribers. Actually, I would not be suprised to find out that it would be required.
  10. You sound like a child with an over inflated sense of false entitlement. The fact that they changed the original gift of 30 free days to encompass a larger portion of their player base (specifically, many of the people who would have been left out previously) should be more than enough of an apology. Frankly, I think it is more than most of the whiners deserved, but Bioware is obviously much more sympathetic than I would be. Luckily, the expanded criteria for the free 30 days will also benefit many players who were reasonable (but still disappointed) about the original offer of the free play time.
  11. If you have Legacy Level 6 then you also get the free 30 days.
  12. If someone created an MMO that caused $20 bills to come out of your computer, some people would complain that the serial numbers were not sequential.
  13. Do you know how to read? Apparently not. It is a lvl 50 character OR Legacy 6. Either gets you the free 30 days. If you do not have Legacy 6 then you don't get the free month. If you have a lvl 50, then I would be truly SHOCKED if you don't also have Legacy 6, but you would still get the free month. Reading comprehension, it is a good thing.
  14. WHAT!!! The servers are UP??!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!?!?!?!? First, I called out of work to be able to play this game all day, and they ruined that... THEN I decided to bite the bullet and bought movie tickets form my wife and I for tonight, since I would be unable to play the game. NOW! the game is back up and I just wasted $25 on movie tickets that I won't use. I DEMAND BW REFUND ME MY $25 FOR THE TICKETS I BOUGHT BECAUSE THEY BROKE THEIR GAME. heh... kidding, but I would not be suprised if we see a few posts like this. On a serious note: I think Bioware actually did a good job. Someting broke, the took the game down and fixed it, and in a reasonable amount of time.

  18. I think seeking legal action against Bioware is a wonderful idea. I suggest you immediately call the relavent authorities in your area and report this, ASAP. And, please, record the call and then post it for us, that would be really awesome. One more thing: Good luck with that. Really.

  21. I beg to differ. My daughter was much more mature than this as a 5 years old. Now that she is 6, I think she could offer some helpful advice to many of the people on the forums.

So yes, I feel quite confident that I am in the majority and that the people complaining here are the vocal minority, that could and should be ignored. Just like you will continue to be.

  25. I truly hope that BW reads this thread. And I further hope that they take note of everyone in here that is threatening to cancel their subs, and then that BW decides to be helpful and cancels their subscriptions for them. Because I doubt most of those people could figure out how to do it themselves, judging by the number of people that have been threatening to cancel for several months. Apparently they had to get Daddy or Mommy to download the game for them, and most likely have to get permission from their parents to join a group with "internet strangers". I am never so disgusted with the internet as I am when I read game forums. But it is like a train wreck, I just want to see what will happen next. To Bioware: Good call in taking down the servers. Ignore the people that have no clue and less patience. Keep them down as long as needed to fix the issue. Rest assured that the majority of players will still be here, and will be thankful that you fixed it. That is not to say that we are not disappointed, because we are, but this was a major issues that was ESSENTIAL to fix quickly and properly.
