I cant get in, but I would love to see them searching though questions to find something not about staggered access or pvp "exploiters".

I should have stayed away from the forums. I knew this. Yes my excitement has been crushed by reports of people exploiting mechanics etc, and the general elitist "you should have pre-ordered earlier, its your fault" attitude. My panties are not in a wad to play, but i think the access staggering thing is going to be something that is going to mar the launch in a lot of people's minds.

The problem is that they are not exploiting the game. They are using the intended mechanics. The problem is Bioware did not foresee, or did not care about, people using this mechanic combined with low server populations to level. I don't see a real solution because they cannot really be banned because they are using game mechanics as they are intended. Bioware's elitist early access scheme is the cause and the people using it are the result. Since they pre-ordered right off the bat, they get level faster and form little elitist groups who will then deny you noobs any chance at joining their reindeer games in the dungeons.

I don't think they anticipated this much hate or they probably would have came up with another plan.

That's my only problem with the staggered launch thing. It's going to create a bunch of people who are elitists because they got in early and managed to use exploits that will probably be fixed by launch.

From your frantic bumping, I assume you want me to comment on how you can see new options while you load the game while I cannot since I did not get in.

Im not going to look up the numbers, but I think they had like 60 american servers and 40 european ones and had to add more because they were slammed. I wasn't a huge rift fan, but I played it at launch and that is what I remember.

TOR is going to be the same. MMOs are not made for longevity any more. That's not a dig at TOR, just the way it is. They are made to enjoy for 2-3 months.

Rift had some pretty horrid queues for a few days, but you could see your position in line.

I didn't read the fine print when I pre-ordered, and made the mistake of assuming it was like all of the other early access deals I have seen. I have not been humping these forums waiting for release and didn't even try the beta. So apparently the blame does lay squarely on me. I still feel a little like I got owned by lawyer speak. Live and learn I guess. Next time I see a early access option, I will be sure to read the fine print thanks to the life lesson I gained from Bioware and their shady early access pre-order.

I need to get some popcorn before it starts. Hopefully it's one of those where they talk about cheery subjects, but you can see their faces as they read the questions ala BF3.

I would join a high pop server and suffer the queues if you want to enjoy the game for any length of time. After the initial rush the pops will drop and what used to be a medium to high server will be low. That has been my experience anyway. When Rift came out I suffered the queues on the hardest hit server. Now its one of the only populated servers left.

We need more ways to prevent people from being able to participate. I demand a gearscore addon at launch.

The walmart I shop at is better than gamestop for preorders by far. This is probably because people I know will go get it for me at midnight. That said, I really only buy digital games anymore.

I didn't take off work, but I have to admit that I got suckered out of the 5 dollars on Friday thinking that early access would work like all other games. My bad for not reading the fine print.
