I am going to go make some breakfast. Maybe when I get back there will be an email with a big picture of Reid's goofy mug waiting in my mailbox.

My birthday is on the 20th.

This thread is my chill sanctuary. Please carry all the negative comments to one of the other threads. I'm dying to get in too, and will probably go full jihad if I can't get in today, but this thread is about making light of our situation.

I was reading last night that the reason they let so many weeks in yesterday is because the pre-order volume was low during that time. I just hope its not like 4 waves with a day or less in each wave.

I dont expect to see the 11th till the later waves, so Im gonna sleep in a little. I had most of this week off. Not for SWTOR, but waiting on it has been kind of obsessive.

Ive been staring at this forum all day.

Im going to be sort of crushed if they only invite a couple of days today. I ordered on the 11th.

If it is an annoying dick move, you will probably see a lot more of it. But personally I think it sounds bad.

I have enjoyed a lot of them, but I guess: -EQ -DAoC -WoW -SWG -Shadowbane Maybe TOR will get a spot, but have not been in the game yet. If it's another front-loaded money grab MMO like Rift, then probably not, but I reserve judgement.

Every MMO in the last 5 years has people in the forums saying the same thing. I guess I will believe it when I see it.

Roleplaying can also be a "story" behind your beef with a guild on the opposite faction. These beefs are usually created by the guild leaders and can lead to some of the most fun pvp imaginable. I have never said "hither" or "thou" or any thing of the sort. The furthest I ever went was when I joined a guild called Shadowclan in DAoC that actually required you to learn and speak another language. This language was required even in guild chat and was strictly enforced. It was on a free for all server, and we would take an area and demand tolls etc, or murder with force. What was funny that after a while other people on the server began learning our language and would negotiate with us using our language to avoid a beatdown. A lot of fun, but pretty nerdy.

That is probably true. Us old guys are pretty much out in the cold. Thats why I say that games are designed to enjoy for 1-3 months now. I just accept it.

thats sort of cool. most mmos have forgone the rp rules for a good while. Im not a rp guy in the sense that I want to learn another language or, god forbid, cosplay but I love to get in serious rp-pvp guilds where you rp as you lay down the murder

Yeah. This is where I come when I need to chill out a little. I get pretty uptight when I see someone along the lines of "Should have pre-ordered earlier, it's your fault" and need to come here to avoid more forum warnings.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe I read a post from one of the devs where they said they had the ability to do this and would expand the capacity at some point. There are a ton of people who are going to just "go back to WoW" or whatever soon as well. A lot of my friends played in beta and opted to just skip it because they are WoW people. They are all humping the air over the panda bear expansion trying to come up with clever panda names and what have you.

They should have known if they studied MMOS at all. RP-PVP servers ALWAYS get slammed at release and keep a good population even after most of the other servers are total ghost towns.
