I think the biggest thing people forget is the balance that HAS to be struck between PvP and PvE and yes it is something that has to exist, now Expertise is meant to help that balance, but it really isn't doing a great job of it at all. I think most Mara/Sents who have a reasonable head on their shoulders agree that they need a nerf to bring them back in line where they should be and then the only real way to balance that into PvE is bring down the high DPS requires in enrage timers (fine tuned that you need perfect DPS and not just easymode DPS to get something done) and then that fixes both sides of the issue.
  2. People seem to forget we had a few nerfs from stance switching to certain abilities benefiting in certain tree specs, not debating that was not needed but to think we have had no changes made to us is just plain wrong.
  3. Expertise is not the be all and end all stat, but it does depend on how deep you go into your setup, I work on each single Mod/Enhancement to work out which is the better upgrade. You still need Expertise and if you had to have a "marker" to use then I would say about 1000.
  4. The reward fixes are completely fine as they are now and give incentive to win, but also with the RNG of getting randoms in your group losing is not a complete waste of time.

I think the issue of Healer Vs DPS is something quite critical at the moment, before you had some healers going up against 3 DPS and not being killed, that NEEDED to be fixed, but now only a really good healer and even then probably class restricted will they last long enough against 1 Burst DPS class. BW has really negated healing in a big way that a FULL DPS team will always beat an equal level Mixed team.

    Fix their defensive skills first, getting tired of a Mara just hitting their damage reduction skill at a 50% health cost.... which is nothing when hit near the end of their health bar, the skill should be a fixed health cost and probably make it a 30% health cost overall, because I doubt the idea was for it to cost 50 health for such a powerful skill, after which they can easily hit all their health pots etc. Was in a WZ yesterday where our pre-made came up against 2 premades, which had at least 4x Mara and 2x Pyro....yea the damage and kills was insane and the Maras working together could pretty much kill anyone and all of them were BM+, it took our communication and teamwork to win and the fact most of those players are FOTM players who will just jump onto the class that is most powerful at the time. I think it is fair to say we will see a Mara/Sent nerf in the not so distant future, but I can imagine the biggest problem for BW is the balance between the buffs to help them in PvE vs how those translate in PvP, because the Expertise Stat breakdown is not working as it should still, because stacking Exp is still not the best option if you really break things down mod by mod and so forth, the best setup has a good mixture of both until you find similar mods from PvE in PvP but with at least some Exp on them.

  9. I'm running a clock each time and it is 100% accurate. As long as you do not use a loading screen of ANY sort it is 10mins after infection to get Feverish, then if you do not die from PvE or PvP you will explode after 20mins of infection. Remember the key thing is not getting ANY loading screen or it breaks and you need to vaccinate and get re-infected.
  10. It doesn't do that, everytime you use any "loading" option, i.e even using a quick travel on the same zone will break it, but it will just remove the timer completely and you are screwed. There might be certain conditions where the timer just resets but it is rare.

  12. That is pretty terrible, I was checking AH earlier and was weird to see no items in certain areas, only armour seemed to show results.
  13. We've also seen gear drop that was not based on group comp in EV/Kragga, thanksfully in HM on EC we got gear which was item specific and not class specific which is a step the right direction (and should have been that way from the start).
  14. Yep, theories all point in 1 direction but actual combat experience tells you the truth. I'm a tank with over 1200 Exp and yet I know I can not survive in PvP like I did before. Bw made a big deal about fights not being over quickly and how their PvP battles would be better for slower kills etc, yet we are now at a stage where DPS is the key in battle, whereas you could counter DPS with good tanking/healing before. I really don't know what clowns are working at BW, but they need to play their own game once in a while. DPS stats at the end of a WZ are down A LOT, but that is because healing/tanking is doing nothing, and only so much damage can be awarded per person, groups melt like butter now.
  15. You know that Maths means = Theory, but I think a lot of people who have been doing PvP since day 1 know the difference in what they are seeing. I fight similar teams all the time and it is rather obvious that people are being killed a LOT faster, even with the same gear, this is due to more damage output and less damage reduction on how Exp now works. Fights are now just a DPS race, tanking/healing doesn't mean as much.
  16. I would think the "rollback" will be before the patch went live, i.e to the point the servers went down this morning themselves, so in theory only 30mins/1hr? of playtime for anyone on at that point will be lost.
  17. The biggest problem with the masses is what these kind of things elude to... will you be happy with a day bonus each time they have a problem like this? Are you not more concerned that such a simple and really what you would call an "apprentice" error was made and required a days worth of attention to fix. If anyone here has worked in a Technical Department that has IT infrastructure catering to thousands, let alone 100s of thousands (after taking out all the people who don't play any more) then you will know how big of a deal it is when something that serves to run everyone goes down and if it means being down an entire day it is a huge deal, so the fact they need this much downtime to basically do a full restore because of the mistake is rather concerning. The extra day bonus is more concerning to me because it means that they and probably the "sheep" players are going to be happy with it and accept that each time this happens, how many mistakes and free days do you really want? Lets be honest here, the free day is nothing, 1 day is meaningless in the life of a MMO game but the conclusion that inept people have done a BIG mistake is HUGE.
  18. GG BW, US residents only. Why don't you at least do the decent thing to mention that in the first post, since you know.. you have players from outside the US (we know you care little about them as per your maintenance times etc).
  19. What about if someone got/done anything in the short time the servers were up, I'd guess they have lost that right? (as I suspect you guys have been forced to do a restore point on data).

The fact you can work really hard for your team for 15mins and lose and then get 40-50 comms even if you had the most medals and objective points is rather dumb and because you can not bring in 8 people into a regular WZ you are at the mercy of hoping the other 4 (if you roll 4man premade) are not completely useless or brand new or just bad at the particular WZ you get. I would never leave a WZ, because you put up a strong fight till the end, but if you get people who simply can not do anything and with DPS being what it is now in WZs you can't even try to carry a team with good tactics then why waste 15mins for 40 comms. Winning SHOULD give more rewards, but dropping the rewards for losing and based on the cost of the gear means you are far better time effective to drop and hope the next WZ gives you a good group and then get more comms from a win. The ratio imo should be 60/40.

I would be confident in saying it wasn't EA who uploaded the wrong code and basically disabled all the new features that were added in 1.2 and therefore they had to bring the servers down to patch correctly and then most likely revert data to before the patch went live. Would be interesting to see if anyone got anything important in the 30mins that the servers were up and if they still have it or data was reset to before that time.

I actually feel real bad for you guys, I can imagine that most people only get to play this during an evening time due to other commitments and then not being able to do it at all is frustrating. They really need to consider splitting patch/downtime schedules so it is always on a early morning for each TZ.

I hope someone senior from BW is watching the mess going on here and kicking some behinds, because they have seriously got either poor management team or poor development team or worse yet... both. We all can understand the rock/hardplace between keeping something broken up or bringing it down and having people complain about downtime or complain about in-game issues. Last minute removal of content, last minute notice of downtime, it was never this bad with other companies this early in a game.
