  1. Exact opposite location on their station. Everything is mirrored.
  2. Oh and you are referring to Commandos, not Troopers. Vanguards do not heal, and they do not have Grav Rounds, do you even play the game?
  3. Everyone one of your 35 posts is negative and talks about Nerfs and well.. whatever dude. You complain too much, ever thought of therapy?
  4. Hax!!!! Luke was not a jedi, what is he doing with a lightsaber. Wait, luke was a jedi, what is he doing with a pistol. Wait, what the hell was Luke? He broke the universe. In the Legacy Edition? Tabletop RPG, there were several iterations on what Luke was, General consensus is that he was a Scout starting out. Don't break my universe with your uniqueness you prima donna, Luke!
  5. I know hoss, I was adding to your statement. I knew what you were getting at.
  6. Well, I wouldn't worry about it then. You won't see someone using those abilities anyways then. I feel it helps with the uniqueness to the player's character as you can choose how that character is "different", their uniqueness, perks, and whatnot. Even developing a lineage tree for them in how they are related (if at all) to one another.
  7. What is your dislike revolving around? PvE or PvP? How do you perceive this as an advantage for someone?
  8. What I said your quote is absolutely true. I'll break it down. From what I stated: Hartman is a Marine. The Rank stated was SFC. That is an Army E-7. Marine E-7 (pay grade) is a Gunnery Sergeant. Marines do not have Drill Sergeants. They have Drill Instructors. To the "common man" everything stated was fact. And it is true. But the details to someone who knows will be realized that the news reporter who stated that is a moron and needs an education on what he is talking about. All I am saying, is that they might have heard Bounty Hunter, or maybe the interviewee did not say Trooper. Besides, why would you go into great detail about an upcoming nerf to a reporter? Hell, why on earth did they mention nerf to a reporter? That part does not make sense to me.
  9. 5k railshot (assuming that is high impact bolt for troopers) is not really spammable as it generates a lot of heat and you have a decent cooldown. If it is refreshed from an ability time has passes because you executed an ability or two or three to get it working again. Honestly, I have been hit for 3-4k by everyone after the 1.1.1 patch. I feel like my main's class is the only one that cannot hit 4k damage anymore. Well, maybe if I smacked a new character around. Either Bioware is trying to keep the damage cap down below 4k or they dont like smugglers/agents. I have seen assassin/shadows do 3k+4k+2.5K well after they came out of stealth. I am still trying to figure them out. I think I will have an easier time to figure women out. Then I can at least make a fortune from the book sales.
  10. Oh and it was a news report. That is like CNN saying "Marine Corps Sergeant First Class Hartman is a Drill Sergeant on Paris Island". Just cause they say it is so, does not mean they are 100% accurate in what they say.
  11. Did I not say semantics? When they say Bounty Hunter, we all know it is Mercenary. I hope they are taking 4 months to fix Tracer Missile because no class should be using one button to play. There is absolutely no fun in that. The entire system needs to be reworked in how that ability works.
  12. Honestly, why are people going on and on about this? It is supposedly PvE only abilities. There are force sensitives ALL over the galaxy. Even after Vader went on his rampage, there were still Sensitives in the Empire. Force Sensitives can perform certain abilities. People are pigeonholed into the movies. Check out some of the cannon books. Did you know Han Solo was a Force Sensitive? That is how he made the Kessel run in 5 parsecs. He is like Chuck Norris and uses distance as time, defying science.
  13. You do play the old republic right? Only two classes use pistols. Bounty Hunter and Smuggler. That's it.
  14. http://www.swtor.com/patchnotes/1.1.1/1312012 Smuggler Scoundrel Flechette Round: Now provides 30% armor penetration while active. K.O.: This ability now knocks the target down for 1.5 seconds. Shoot First: The damage output of this ability has been decreased by approximately 20% to control burst damage and because it was enabling significantly faster than intended kills in PvP. Imperial Agent Operative Acid Blade: Now provides 30% armor penetration while active. Jarring Strike: This ability now knocks the target down for 1.5 seconds. Hidden Strike: The damage output of this ability has been decreased by approximately 20% to control burst damage and because it was enabling significantly faster than intended kills in PvP.
  15. Well, you only have to choose between two. Like what was said, Consular is the lore part, and I did find quite interesting. Knight is more "star warsy"? You go in, pound face and continue on. The dialogue is blah with both. Voice acting is good, but the feeling is blah. You want a great story with awesome dialogue and lines... Smuggler, hands down.
  16. Assassin take more hits than an operative. But the operative really needs to be in stealth to do their up front damage burst. The assassin does not. But, then again, if you want to be utility, you need to figure out if you want to be a tank or a healer. If you want to be a healer, obviously Operative. Tank, assassin. The only classes that are pigeonholed are the DPS only advanced classes. Everyone else can spec into something different entirely.
  17. Yes and when scoundrel/operative were "nerfed" it was Smuggler and Agent. Semantics hoss.
  18. Wow. You guys are thinking the sky is falling. That article only says a nerf is coming. We ALL know a nerf is coming to BH and Trooper. Tracer Missile in how it is working now is flawed. Plus other things that need to modified. I wouldn't go so far as to saying a nerf is needed, but the entire mechanic needs to be brought back to the drawing board.
  19. Sorry man, not lying. I do not care what others have posted as I can only testify to my experience. Perhaps they had battlemaster gear and thumped on someone who just turned 50. I do not crit for 4k post patch, ever. Actually, I do more damage with pistol whip than I do with shoot first. How crazy is that? Before I hit 50, I pvp'd in the warzones from level 42 to 49. The only reason I stopped was because I was capped at my valor points at 49. I could not go any further. In that time I found that post 30, the matches got a lot better because I had my damage absorb shield, so my life expectancy went up significantly. While others got their shield at level 14 or so, I get mine 20 levels after them. Then I hit my 40s. The entire pvp game changed for me. Mind you, I was playing pre-bracket, so I was facing off against level 50s in my warzones up to around level 45. I did very well against people in battlemaster gear. It was as though they magically turned Valor 60 and pvp'd like they were level 10. Once the big patch happened, there were no more 50s in the warzones. From level 45-49 I dominated. When I say dominated, I mean tore everyone up. I DID hit 4k shoot first during that time. It was actually fun to PvP. Then 1.1.1 happened. I really resent Bioware in doing this with only a week testing and they never made a change to it. I get all the changes they made except for the Armor Penetration value. I will admit, I did not want to play my scoundrel when this happened. But I did, and while I was not the monster I was with shoot first, I was still able to take down targets. The Armor Penetration was not really that bad.... until you hit 50. When you hit 50, everything changes. I had nearly zero survivability, and did crap for damage. I was pretty useless and I was highly agitated. While I leveled up through the warzones I obtained expertise mods from weapons and transferred them over to my orange armor pieces.. but that is not enough. Once I was fitted for Centurion/Champion gear things got a little bit easier. But it is not something like these battlemasters are saying. I admit I do not play 24/7 and probably put in about 10-15 hours a week on my smuggler now instead of the 40+ hours. I am like valor rank 57 so when I hit battlemaster and start getting the battlemaster gear, maybe things will be different. But that sorcerer was not in BM gear. It looked way to simple and plain and heck it could have been orange. I wish I had fraps loaded because it was sad that I could not out DPS his heals. Oh and he was healing his team while I was beating on him If only the devs could have used that before making a rash an uneducated decision on the armor penetration changes. Bitter? A little. I still play, but I am still looking for that class to be my main PvE so I can raid with my guild. I love the scoundrel, but Bioware makes it tough love.
  20. OP is talking about the bug that allows one team to have 12 people and the other to have like 6. Or whatever. I saw this last night and it was brutal. We had everyone on mid, while they had 2 on east and still outnumbered us on mid. They were supposed to fix this bug. But it would seem not. Also, warzones are not counting again for some.
  21. No. There is no base damage. All that is derived from the barrel/hilt/armor piece. It is the first slot in the weapon/armor.
  22. Sorry man, your fancy words do not change the fact that Bioware makes games that cause you to play, and play and play. They utilize techniques that entice their audiences to continue to play and want more, and selling more expansions. No matter what the game or series is. Now they have evolved to microtransactions. To say I am wrong, is, well, wrong. Or you are looking for an argument. Of which I will not do.
  23. All orange items do is allow for a universal upgrade so you are not hunting for that one chest piece because you outgrew your last one. Plus allow for you to design your look and appearance of your character. I used orange items exclusively on my characters.
