  1. Wait... no, I am wrong.. I just wiki'd it (I know, I know) and it seems I am so old that I forgot it. Forgive meh!!
  2. What they said. Don't waste your money. Just 'splode on your buddies.
  3. ↑↑↓↓←→←→BA Contra for the win!
  4. I seriously cannot be the only one who feels this way. Granted I am not a real life pilot, but I have to invert my Y axis for everything, even first person shooters. If not, I lose my mind playing a game. When I hopped on Final Fantasy and could not invert my camera, I had to quit. Turns out I could, but I needed to edit some file within the folder... too much work.
  5. Caveat to the unwritten rule/ courtesy. If your character cannot equip the item due to class restrictions, you ask if you can need it for a companion or alt. If no one has an issue, you Need.
  6. As the title says, please invert the Y axis.. it is driving me insane to be "piloting" my ship and having up go up. I can invert my camera running around Hoth, but not in space? Thank you. That is all.
  7. I just got blasted last night. I wish they would leave it in.. or at least introduce something similar... it is a ton of fun to 'splode!
  8. Right now the social "armor" is just light armor, so only Inquisitors/Consular can use them effectively for combat. It was planned for 1.2 a while back to introduce medium and heavy armor versions, but that got pushed back a couple of months ago for possibly 1.3.
  9. Pass it on man. Think of it like the 60s and everyone had the same... diseases hehe.
  10. Slam all of your keys on your keyboard a couple of times. It is not a hardware issue, it is a software one in game.
  11. Wow, I wish I would have seen this thread when you first posted it. I have a Razer TOR mouse as well. The whole screen going crazy by the mouselook thing flipping all around... that is a game thing. My guild mates have the same issue. The mouse is very very sensitive. Like said above, you have to tweak your ingame mouse sensitivity and figure a balance in the Synapse. I do a 3200 ish DPI and have my in game sensitivity about 1/3 of the max and I turn pretty quick. Before I would turn on the slightest movement and end up doing a 180 every few moments... annoying. Another thing, the wireless mode, while better now, is squirrelly as all hell. Keep that in mind too. I like the mouse, but it can be better. It certainly improves my gameplay by about Awesome Percent.
  12. I agree with this. The thing with the MMOs since UO.. I have been playing online games since UO. Well... before that MUDS and MUSHs but anyways, there is always something in game, be a new NPCs to be a quest giver, something on the launcher, whatever. No game that I played required you to be logging into the forums daily. Secret World is requiring this for the "cool new content" and also using other social media outlets to discover more clues on things. Which is cool. I know the rules ahead of time, so all is on me. Changing the rules midgame... well that is was SWG did with the CU... A lot of people lost their homes with that (virtual ones).
  13. Pre-50 you will be fine. When you hit 50 no. You must have the expertise in your gear. No matter what you wear, without that expertise you will notice you are creamed a lot and your heavy attacks do not feel like they are doing the job. Save up around 150k and purchase Recruit gear from your class pvp vender. It is blue, but it rates as good as Champion did, if not better in some cases.
  14. The Y button is your friend. Alternatively you hit the K button for your skills and click the legacy tab. Not sure what you are looking for, but between the venders on the main planet for your faction and the Y button, that is pretty much it for now.
  15. I get that aspect of it. But Bioware is about story, and the game is not based around what clues you find on facebook or the forums like Secret World. It should be in game, with quest lead-ins to point the player in the right direction and figure out what is going on, in game.
  16. I get how folks feel. There was no real in game "hey, dude, I need you to go here and drop off this, ahhh, vaccine." as a lead in. It was just put in and no real anything telling you how to get involved with it. It is not about holding your hand, it is about continuing and experiencing different stories. Which last time I checked is what Bioware was all about. I did like the news broadcast and they could do SOOOOO much with it. Time will tell, but the pets they should keep in a little longer for folks who don't have them, to get them.
  17. I have gotten a few infringement emails. I am not really worried about it. If you are doing a game music video (have music in it) then they will just mute it. If you are posting an actual artist music video, they might take it down. Otherwise I would not worry about it.
  18. Welcome to TOR. DCUO is not like any other game on the market. That is both good and bad. I know, I played it, I have a couple of max level characters on there now PC side. Lantern and Sorc. I had not gone back to try the Lightning and the new tank class yet.. but I do plan to. With this game, you do have an "active attack button" but not like DCUO. Your left mouse button is linked to hotbar button 1 if you are targeting an enemy with your reticule. Most like to have the autoattack there. Depending on the class I keep it there... Or I change it to an attacking power that I dont want to hot key. Your roles and respec... You can respec anytime. They say the respecs are free, but I am always charged for it. Every Tuesday the cost is 0 or reduced, much like DCUO. Be aware, you cannot change your Advanced Class. You are stuck with it. If you go Sage and you want to stealth and use a double saber, you are SoL, you will need to make a new character. Gear is obtained ok while you level. Orange gear gives you the most flexibility for appearance and a little more forgiving to upgrade over time. Use your planetary commendation (just do missions) to obtain the armor mods... Search the boards for the term Orange Gear and you will be having all kinds of info. The side you want to join? Dude, that is all up to you. If you want to fight on the underdog side, Republic generally is where you want to go. While both factions have great stories... Sith were done up better. Hands down. The developers paid way more attention to the Empire than they did with the Republic, and everyone who has played both factions will testify to this, so long as they are objective. My advice... You get 8 slots. Have 4 slots one of each class on one faction, and the other 4 slots be one of each class of the other faction. I would even suggest picking different advanced classes for both sides since for the most part, classes are mirrored from their counterpart. This will give you the opportunity to unlock class/race/companion unlocks for Legacy which give you a pretty nice and free bonus to your new characters. For example, if you were to go nuts and max out all your companion's conversation options for all the classes you would get +200 presence bonus for all your current and new characters. Presence gives a healing/tanking/dps boost for your companions. For humans hitting 50 you get a +100 presence bonus, and I do notice a difference on my characters. Anyhow, if you have any questions, just hit me up. I am on Jung Ma server with Dark Legion's Empire (DLE).
  19. Ummm, how do you think a machine would romance a male/female in "real" life? Battery operated....I'll just leave it there.
  20. Remember this is the Old Republic, not A New Hope. Droids did not try to take over the galaxy.... The Mandalorians tried.
  21. IG-88 and other droids out there making their way through the galaxy? Plus with everything you just said here : That is exactly how the Sith Lords feel about every living thing in the universe...Not sure what the difference is.
  22. Those who deal in absolutes are absolutely mistaken. It is possible. You just have to have your AI set up with the same powers and abilities of the players. FPS do it all the time now.
