  1. You obviously completely missed his point. He cleared all the content already because once again, BioFail proved they cannot develop difficult or engaging content. This game is a joke.
  2. Was quickly pushed to second page with no views.
  3. I am going to get flamed for this and told I am a fan boy but I do not care. Read my last post in the other thread, it explains my point of view very well and my earlier posts from this year show me not so pesimistic. So think twice before saying such. I want to point out the difference in panels between the Mists of Panderia and SWTOR's 1.2 or guild summit. REALLY WATCH this if you want to have an educated, mature debate about the subject. Not only are the questions a lot better (showing bad choices in applications accepted for Guild Summit), but listen to how the developers answer. I do not want to touch on the attitude difference, even though they have a better attitude (less cocky), but listen to HOW they respond and WHAT they say. Listen to how much more they know as a PLAYER. They are AWARE of what classes perform better as tanks and how stat differentiation effects certain raid mechanics, class synergy and overall performance. These are not just developers spitting out reasons as to why they did something. These are PLAYERS who are developing the game and explaining their actions based on a PLAYERS perspective. It is amazing how no matter how deep the question, not only do they answer it but they are able to break down to the smallest of abilities within a class and what will change and how it will be a positively effective implementation. In short, you can tell these developers are hardcore players which I think is DETRIMENTAL to an MMOs success. Most of the developers from BioWare's panel NEVER strike me as understanding from a players perspective. Which I think has caused a huge downfall in the development of this game. MOP Q&A: One thing that sticks in my mind is the showcase of the new UI customization. He barely knew what he was showing and the entire panel was a bunch of annoying stutters with no real concrete knowledge.
  4. Read the article, not the first post that says what you want to hear.
  5. Read my other posts. They have been ignoring us beta testers (original beta) since we had the chance to say anything. Most of the problems with the game that exist today were in the game 6-7 months before launch. I was asked to talk about the game in person in NYC with several other people. When I did, all of us collectively voted the game a 5 - 6 out of 10. We told them all the problems with the game and not one of them were addressed. Most of us there were hardcore, experienced players with some casuals as well. Its amazing how many things people agree on when they discuss it in person. A lot of the people who jump at the chance to disagree with vital recommendations (proper combat logs, good LFG system, better raid utility, open source UI), do not give the points a proper listen or understanding. The fact that the combat log thread I created went on for thousands of posts with inexperienced players screamed in agony against it when they couldn't properly defend their point of view and BioWare continue not to listen not even responding one post in the thread. Go to a WoW forum and compare the amounts of developer posts. BioWare has failed to listen to the community. To shorten it, here is a list: Failed to be as active as needed on the forums (sorry, simply stating in videos that you promise you're listening doesn't cut it) Failed to address issues presented almost a YEAR before launch Failed to listen to priority solutions (fans saying they don't care about story focus on gameplay) Failed to deliver proper customer support/in-game support I can go on further than that, but do not let the pompous responses from Stephen Reid fool you. They didn't listen and he can say whatever he wants about developers not responding as much because they do not want to address the same issues more than once without moving onto new topics. But please, where are these new topics that were addressed? They don't exist. Statements that 1.2 will be the biggest patch in MMO history... a joke. Statements (old article) that gamers really do not know what they want.... a joke. Statements that this game will be taking from WoW... a joke. Yes, people forget about that. One of the doctors released a statement that gamers do not know what they want in a game. During the development of this game, the attitude the entire staff has had towards the community has been that we do not know what is good for the game. That is the case for a lot of people, but after looking at the Guild Summit and the kinds of people that were poking at advice and that were chosen is ridiculous. Not to mention the unbiased census from that summit was that they only chose to showcase material and shrugged a lot of valuable suggestions off. Fact of the matter is, everything valuable someone brought up they wanted in game, got the same generic response that it would be in the title... eventually. Their priority system has been trash since day one focusing on emotes on vehicles (which still don't work). All they did was market how their MMO would have story. People constantly said that was cool, but they wanted to see gameplay. All through development all we heard was STORY STORY STORY... while everyone BEGGED for combat news and commented on it. AND NOTHING WAS DONE. Everyone raved about the leveling, all BioWare SHOWED during development was LEVELING. Their lack of focus in end-game not only shows their inexperience since so many titles failed due to it, but it also shows how they DID NOT LISTEN. Everyone begged to see end game and real content, but STORY was all we got. Even then, the story isn't that good. 2-3 classes are OKAY but BioWare simply isn't the great developer everyone thinks they are. Give Blizzard the IP, sure you'll miss the reason you are doing a quest here and there, but at least there will a focus on PLAYING and not LISTENING. Seriously, SWTOR is like a pop-up book. I wanted an MMO.
  6. In this game they do. Actually, you can take out escort. The escort quests failed miserably in beta due to them breaking and it seems BioWare completely removed most of them for release. Even WoW has moved past the played out, tired old kill kill click quests.
  7. Why don't you read the confirmed information from EA. They confirmed the game is declining and subscriptions are not meeting expectations. Why does no one touch on this? Lol, every one calls people trolls and don't read the actual articles.
  8. "StartupGrind claims to have confirmation of the claims and says that lower-than-expected sales of Star Wars: The Old Republic and Battlefield 3." EA may not be laying off 500-1000 employees (although a company would want that to remain secret to avoid production loss), but they confirmed the information about SWTOR losing subscribers and not meeting expectations as true. We all wanted this game to succeed but it is time to face the facts man. The game is not good and its downfall is proving it.
  9. EA gets worst company of the year award. LMAO! Called the SWTOR thing for a while. Only so many times you can say "Leave we don't care!!!" before you actually have to care.... Should have listened to the community BioFail.
  10. The new forums are just like the game. Created without considering the community's feedback and changing for the worse.
  11. This... Sorry, but anyone saying they are getting good FPS in a Warzone are either lying, do not know how to read perfomance and/or are not noting their FPS while in stress (combat). Plain and simple... the problem isn't with upgrading a video card, its the poor engine. This game plays like garbage and performs no better. God, the more and more I read about SWTOR the more it makes me want to cry.
  12. They just can't do anything right. I mean that literally, not in a defending or sarcastic way. And what do you know, SR is on here explaining how the 'team' basically doesn't care what you think because they are smarter and feel it is different enough.. Why WOULD they listen to the customers when the subject has everything to do with a consumer purchase.
  13. Sounds like a bunch of wasted development on things that don't matter if you ask me.
  14. Dude, what are you talking about? Six months after launch, WoW was up to patch 1.6. Six major content patches in. SWTOR is only two and before you say WoW's patches were small... do your research. They even had three legendarys and it didn't take a year to speed up, the population was rabidly growing. Some of your need to stop posting if you really do not know about the business and its history. We all know you love Star Wars and we all do too, but Star Wars alone cannot sell or make the game amazing. So why do you act this way? The game is NOT good in terms of an MMO. Plain and simple. Give it a year, give it a decade, it doesn't matter. It will never 'crush' WoW.... ever.
  15. This as well.. I have said this many times. It feels like a console game with an option to co-op. When it should be an MMO with the option to solo.
