  1. Wow. Just... thank you. The crafting bit I suppose was expected, with the grind but needing to get slicing up. The forums seems a bit dead with responses, but I do appreciate the time especially with the quoted responses you took to help me.
  2. So I have decided to give SWTOR more money and another go. I have all the class stories completed for the Republic, and with it, all class buffs. I haven't completed everything of course... I have also completed the Assassin story. The last 3 classes I have around level 27-40. The issue is, I am so frickin lost I have no idea what I am doing. I logged in some characters and it turns out, I have millions. But what I used to have for gear has to be wrong. Plus it looks like my plan to sell that Revan mask is destroyed with how the Cartel Market is structured. So, with that, I would like to try to relearn the game again from the beginning. Bounty Hunter and Juggernaut have me feeling good (already have a level 37 Juggernaut and a Level 27 Powertech). If I went BH, I was thinking about Merc, but I have never been much of a healer, if I wanted to branch to roles other than DPS. And using a Force sensitive with the new expansions if I decide to continue the playthrough makes sense, no? Anyhow, what I am looking for is some insight on which class would have a better feel on a new playthrough (been many years). Thank you all in advance. Also, which crafting profession to focus on nowadays for end game mods? I am sure I have some character maxed out somewhere. But knowing would be nice.
  3. I thought we could do this. Now we cannot?
  4. Yes! Bioware PR team.... Jedi Knights do NOT use saberstaves in SWTOR!!!
  5. I soloed it on my Scoundrel (non heal spec) when he first came out. It isn't hard, you just need to be smart how you engage.
  6. I know you cannot. You can invert the Y axis for the ground stuff, but you go to "space" and you push the mouse up, you go up, push the mouse down, you go down. My game is already inverted with the Yaxis, I have even disabled the inversion and tested flying (this morning) and it's still ate up. It has been this way since beta. It is irritating that it has not been fixed... it would be a simple act for the developers to get done.
  7. For the love of all that is good. Please allow the controls to be inverted for the space missions and for the new ship combat. Up should never be Up in the Cockpit. This is rediculous ya'll haven't made this change since beta.
  8. 23 pages... I doubt anyone will read this... But please for the love of all that is good, all the Y Axis to be INVERTED!!! This is the biggest pet peeve I have had since launch and why I dont do space missions.
  9. It is in the Era... http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mandalorian_Battle_Armor From Knights of the Old Republic game....
  10. I have to agree... The system is already in place. Just turn the button on.
  11. I have called twice, one guy was from Ireland, the other sounded like he was from Australia. Both were helpful. It's the in game support that needs the help. And no, it's Life Day... Wookies don't work on life day.
  12. Legacy starts at level 10 and when you get aboard the space station.. that is what I have found.
  13. How far did that ticket get you? Probably still in the queue untouched... unfortunately their customer service is lacking in game. However, the forum mods can be good about reporting this. I have the same issue where the mak clips through the hood with Body Type 3 as well. Would be awesome if they can fix this... Perhaps the hoods were never sized correctly from the get go, or the maks aren't .. not sure.
  14. Strength does not equate to more damage, unless your class is Jedi Knight. Even then you can tell by hitting the C button and select the DPS option, and then you can equip/unequip items and see the numbers change in real time.
  15. It is not a hidden dual spec feature... It is merely a respec on the go. You still have to "hand jam" everything in. Maybe it will work like DCUO will, where I plug everything in, I save it, and when I click on that certain loadout, it will respec me and dress me accordingly.
  16. Voices are a tough call. Like it was said, neither are young.. there really isn't a "boyish" type voice in the game for players like Far Cry 3's Jason. For Jedi, like was said, is Nolan North and David Heyter. Basically Nathan Drake (Uncharted) and Solid Snake (Metal Gear). The characters don't really talk unless it is in a conversation cut scene. The Jedi Knight is in your face combat. Pure and simple. The Consular can be in your face or at a distance. Both are managable and good classes. The default clothing for the consular are robes, however social and adaptive armor can help mitigate this a bit. Jedi Knight is wearing heavy/medium armors.
  17. Both advanced classes are good, depending on what your expectations and playstyle are.
  18. If you have a team.. as in working together... have your folks who can throw people or suck them in at far ends then work them down. If you separate them, they are not as effective.
  19. The issue with sustained DPS means you are out of stealth, and squishy (if you don't put points in sawbones). Our main defense is to not be seen, hit our target, then vanish into the night... this is not the case anymore. Last night I respec'd into Dirty Fighting (again) with a couple of points in scrapper to at least not be seen 20 meters away when I am stealth. The main issue I have is I cannot use my flash bang. If I do, it will be solely for the accuracy debuff and not to hold them in place unable to perform actions... the frickin dots break it. I remember reading the patch notes that Assassins/Shadows had the same problem but the dots don't interact with it. I need to do more testing, but it also appears that either a. the dots are overwriting each other or b. they don't do as much damage as advertised. On my hotbar I have 4 DoTs. Between all of them I should be doing around 4-5k of damage over a period of 5-12 seconds. Stack on that 1k for backblast, 1k for nade, and 1k for sucker punch. I should be doing 8k damage inside 12 seconds. Compared to other classes, that is meh, but unfortunately, I don't see all the ticks of the DoTs and their damage is not.. visable on their health bar. But I will test more... regardless, I moved away from scrapper... and this I am not happy with.
  20. Same. It was also a great audio queue when my UH was received.
  21. I know, I hate to be feeling this way too as the scoundrel is a great class PvE (well smuggler) and in the beginning able to take down folks in a single attack sequence. Granted, on release, we were way too strong. Then they changed us with 1.1.1 and while damage was lower, we were still capable on the battlefield, doing what we were made to do. Now, after all the changes, reworks, and modifications to the skills, abilities and how combat works we are a quasi-sustained dps squishy class with little utility and stuck in non stealth because the fricken in-combat mechanic stays on forever before I can stealth again. I really want the class to be what it was, but if it can't, make it into something that can bring something to the table, as all classes have a DPS-centric build that has some kind of utility, make this one do the same with its own bit of flair, please.
  22. As I said before, Scoundrels are not horrible, not at all.. they just are.. inconsistent and squishy as a scrapper/dirty fighting. Sawbones lets you stand up and fight for a bit, with some sacrifice in other damage/debuff areas. When I was leveling my alts at the start of the game around January, I had a Vanguard who was defense spec'd and I had to watch myself around operatives. If they caught me on a cooldown, I would be having some issues. Now on my baby Guardian, I don't worry about them at all. Unless there is a team working together, the damage they do solo is not anymore a threat to me, than anyone else attacking. Honestly, it is how it works on my scoundrel. I start a fight, and it goes on for a good 30 seconds - over a minute solo. And I may win or may lose... all depends on the crits and if they parry or dodge my attacks.
  23. Easy hoss. *points to his join date* I have been around the block as well. I was just pointing out the most obvious usual suspects.
  24. I find that after a major patch, that if someone is finding something very wrong, then take it with a grain of salt, because something as small as miscarrying that one from their equation and code input could screw up a lot of things and be easily missed. Besides, Bioware has on more than one occasion revised their patch notes a few days after they said it was in the game.... We need more testing on this.
