  1. Sorry but I watched the video and you did nothing spectacular and no one even looked at the two sorcs sternly let anlone tried to pressure you. Don't count your servers weakness as Sorcs being Viable come to my Server and you will die early and often . I'll even tell you the team you'll face and the order in which they will kll your team and there is nothing you or your other sorc will do about it. You'll lose every game you play unless it's a solo queue pug and that is fact. Plus my server is an RP Server not POT5 or Bastion and I know from watching that if your calling yourself the best that's a joke. Plus we all know Pyro Mercs are so Viable now aren't they? Go troll the WoW forums.
  2. Those Videos are a joke no team worth anything would let a dps sorc run around and do what he wanted they would be the first target. Those were bad players and Madness is not viable in Arena. End of Story. Show me a Real Sorc in Arena's with a rating over 1800 on Bastion or PoT5.
  3. Madness needs Increase Critical Damage on Death Field and Crushing Darkness to 50% crit bonus like Lightning spec has as well as per tick of each crit dot gain 1% Force . Increase dot damage a little it's very weak right now a little over 2k over 18 seconds? that should be the same damage but reduced to 12 seconds. That would fix Madness Lightning Make Thunderblast Instant cast when Lightning Storm procs and increase the damage slightly. Right now it's simply useless at a 2 second cast and dosen't hit hard at all for the time it takes to cast force lightning is a better option a base talent and this is Lightning's 36 point talent. It's simply terrible and has been for a long time. That would help lightning a lot and give them more spike damage. For Affliction They need heals when they heal a target such as Dark Infusion on crit heals the caster 2% of their health over 10 seconds and more of a passive damage reduction when heal over time effects are present on caster. This helps with using Consumtion or heaven forbid we just get rid of consumtion and have good force regen. Dark heal needs a bump in power as 4.5 k crits are about a non crit hit these days for most classes it's simply under powered and cost to much force to use it for any length of time. Dark Infusion needs and instant cast feature like wrath (madness tree) when heal over time effects are present and have it's healing power increased by 20% and is free if effect is present. iI hard casted standard cost no bonus. It takes far to long to cast and is easy to interupt this will help with Force issues and allow them to be a little more mobile in PVP/PVE Lastly Reduce force slightly on all healing spells. This can be tweaked if the above fixes force issues. That would fix Affliction Base Class Changes Make Force Speed remove movement imparing effects class wide and immune during force speed this means immune to force leap etc anything that impaires my movement immune. Sith Defiance needs a bump in reduction from 2% to 5% this would be attainable by all builds. 2 points for only 2% is low . Corrupted flesh should include area of effect 15% reduction (lots of classes have passive 30% Area of effect reduction this would be equal to what they have 15+15 is 30) Possibly move this talent lower in the tree so it is attainable by other builds while keeping 36 talent points in there tree of choice. I'd say that would just about do it.
  4. Going thundering Blast is a big waste of your time and talents you'll die after the first one or die before you get it off. Lighting spec is horrible for pvp and easy to interupt the only thing you'll end up getting of is shocks and affliction once you plant your feet and try to start casting melee will drop you.. you have 0 defensive abilities except bubble stun and your channeled bubble after that your dead. Madness gives more survivabilty but bad force management and lack of any burst will also evtually get you killed without really making a difference other than high damage numbers with 1-2 killing blows. A Deception Assasin typically will have mid to high teens for killing blows. Mine has had a record 39 in a game. Bottom line Thundering Blast = bad.
  5. Lack of any changes, our damage is only only there because dots still tick even if your dead. Lightning spec is soft like butter and doesn't hit hard unless no one pays any attention to you for the entire game. Your getting healing from bubbles but it's really not healing it's absorbed damage. We are not the best or 2nd best at anything in the game Commando Healers are on par with us in PvP simply because they can tank more damage DPS wise were in the gutter. PVP wise we are the softest class period with the least defensive abilities and passive damage reduction. So you ask where the nerf is it happened back in 1.2 and we have been nerfed more with every update they have made the class a PVE only character, it's the only place where it is viable somewhat. PVP it's a joke.

I agree with you Zu what your going to see is groups of certain classes that your class may not do well agaist and would force you to either not do arena's or roll another class to counter a specific class. I think you'll see certain make ups do well as there is little in the way of variety here until someone counters there group. Currently the vanguard groupings are popular however they are vunerable to single target damage so basically don't stun them and do single tagret burst such as double sniper/powertech/op healer would turn them on their head and shake them for loose changes and then toss them in the garbage labled FOtM trash. But why should we have to roll new toons just to compete ....easy class balance sucks. in a few weeks you'll see 3 Powertechs Op healers vs 3 Vanguard Scoundrel heals and it will be like two wrestlers slapping each other in the chest both of them are aoe damage and stun damage friendly with attacks that do damage reduction and taunts all over the games will last the duration and the winner will be the one who times there heal pot best before the gas kills them. People better pray Sorc's never get a buff to be on par with other classes.
  8. You will probably see a lot of those records being made by Powertech/Vangaurds as they seem to be the new Smash spec easy to play lots of Defensives and high Damage Output. Oh and they stop smashers cold 30% Aoe Damage reduction with an extra 5% reduction from Ion Pulse and if they are stunned they take 30% less damage not including any defensive cooldowns that's passive. Not mention taunts Aoe and Single Target. To make killing their healer with guard very hard. There is an answer for that problem though.
  9. There are some certain effects that will only take place if Dark Charge is active so review your talents. If you use another charge you will loose out on some of the talents in the Darkness tree. Also the DPS is viable in PVP but I wouldn't use it in PVE as shock is the main source of damage as generates threat so you would be pulling things off your tank alot. The main gear selection for PVP would be to stack nothing but power surge with a little accuracy and no crit. Your shocks will auto crit if spec'd about 30% of the time and if you stun the enemy with spike or electrocute they take 6% more damage from all sources if spec'd. Plus with 3 charges of Dark Charge you can hit wreckless for a big channel.

  11. Since there seems to be some confusion on speed and healers I could make sense of some of what you folks were talking about . Speed for a sorc has a lot of different uses to get distance from a pursuing melee or to get Line of sight quicker from a ranged dps and it can be used to get across the field to get to a position in need of support quicker. I won't go into how Io use or that it lessens your effectiveness anymore or any less if your using it. You still have a host of instants as well as your instant aoe you can sit on. I don't use the dot snare I think it's a waste of points I just use my force slow and toss a dot on a stealthy to keep them out. I'll keep refreshing my dot it on them everytime I see them. The purpose of it is to keep them out for the juggs, mauraders to see as well as ranged. Then the stealthy gets some fans while he's trying to be mine.

I think it's true that you will have a lot of newbie rp'es however the few veterans are probably taking what they can get with the hopes of teaching the newer folks the basics and letting them improve. Most times just telling someone the basics will help them a lot. However most will just let someone keep making mistakes and not tell them. I came from Catskills Ultima Online probably the greatest RP community in any game I've ever played no other game has really lived up to that and doubt ever will. Some of the things I see that are a little annoying are when people emote a thought or action and what they're saying in one emote. This should not happen and is an rp foul. You emote your action and say what your going to say. This is pretty common rp basics and the cantina is filled with people breaking this all the time. Also rp is not done through tells you speak to the person. If you do these things have a l little imagination you should be fine.

  14. I'm just saying 8's wouldn't happen as much especially here some servers it would stay mostly the same like Pot5 and Bastion. The problem with Ranked is there is no incentive for it. The higher ranked teams should have upgraded stats and looks over the standard because it takes more effort to play 8's at a high level than 4's or farming coms. If they did that and kept 8's I think it would keep it's draw as those wanting the top tier of gear would still play them. Most of us have been full conquerors for some time now I maybe need an enhancement , mod or 2 and that is with taking a lot of time off lately. 3 logins in a month.
  15. There is no way that 8v8 would be as active with 4v4 introduced. Sorry but I disagree 4v4 would certainly hurt 8v8 games if your saying that you think it wouldn't I disagree 100%. 4v4 you could do every night with no trouble 8v8 you would have to plan or use whoever is online at the time. For true teams of 8v8 this would affect it , people would be quick not to wait if they didn't have 8 and just hop in 4's or if you had 3 pick up someone you know to be a good player and jump into 4v4. 8v8 was and still is for the most part only being done a few nights a week and even on those days teams struggle to get 8 people and it's most often just who is online not 8 people that were pre determined to be a teamrepresenting a guild such as during hte time of 2.0 when ASB had a mostly set team and grim had a set group. Sunday we had 8 at 7:00 ready to go by 7:30 we lost one picked up someone else I believe we didn't get our first game util about 8:45 and the second game around 9:30. If 4v4 was around we would have just jumped into that until another guild said they had 8 ready to go and then we would form based on who was online if we had the right make up to do so. So in short 8v8 would be ghost or at the very least 50% worse than it is now, this would in turn make people less likely to wait for it to happen and jump into 4's. Bigger ranked community's I doubt would be impacted as much as they have the pool of players for it. The change makes being able to do ranked every night.
  16. I think you will see people putting together well thought out groups ranging from all stealth teams to double tank/double heals to 4 dps you won't know what your going to get. It will be fun, I would have kept the 8v8 ranked and just added more coms per win over 4v4 that way people have the option for it. it's just like Wow arena's it was always harder to get 5 or do 10 for ranked than doing 3's or 2's. We had a few games lastnight that I was able to be a part of was good times.

Flying a kite is normally standing still with a device that is light enough to be picked up by the wind and will stay in the air the more slack you give to the line holding it to you the farther it goes into the air. The Kite isn't trying to catch you and do bad things to you while you run away from it do whatever you can to keep it away. Kind of like trolling has nothing to do with a Troll something that is undead.... they are both words I call interenet speak that someone made up and people on the internet allowed it to become a word that had some meaning.
  18. As someone else said on the main forum with 4v4 ranked 8v8 would have become empty so even ifthey left it you would not be playing it. Also Regular 8v8 will still happen for the casual players who don't want to get beaten by pre-made 4 man groups who are well geared. It will filter out gear and skill most likely and your regulars will be for regulars and Arena's will be for the more advanced groups.
  19. I solo queue when I'm on then people invite me. I think Pubs just have less pvp'ers these days and the server is becoming more PVE /RP based we really did have a small community PVP wise and most of that is gone now. My play time these days is rather limited to 1-2 nights a week.
  20. I doubt a regstar would be a rank one glad for one season let alone multiple seasons and there never was someone who did it every season. Rank one glads would probably just start dominating regs to the point where you would take notice of them because other players server wide would be complaining about how said god like player is ruining them every time they come across them. The said rank one glad every season player would be able to beat 8 man guild groups with a full pug group on every map becuse ...well he's a rank one glad and they make lesser guild groups look foolish and spoil there fun of curb stomping pugs. Eventually this player would just tell his other rank 1 glad team mates of this easy pvp game and that they should play it and reach rank 1 here which they would do since they're sitting on there rank 1 title in wow waiting for the season to end. They would come over and beat all the top teams then laugh and stop playing with the top ranking of any guild on the server. So if anyone tells you they were a rank one glad I would tell them shenanigans and put them on ignore unti lyou see them beating everyone then take them off ignore and ask them if you can join his guild and /gquit yours.

I told Deyvon a few times when he applies himself in game he makes a big difference and some of the games he's left early because he didn't feel the group that was there would win we actually did just that. Some games there isn't much you can do but then their are the ones where a premade doesn't realize they ran across someone who likes to play spoiler.
  22. A lot of it is PVP Awareness and some people just don't have it and may never have. I can't count the times I have looked back and see 2 people guarding a pylon know that a 2 cap will criple our score and 5 seconds later the other team has a two cap. This is due to one person simply capping while two others are so zommed in or afk they let the person cap under their nose. Even in Novaire being on my assasin I have seen other stealers just go in and cap on an enemy team with players just standing there. In Novaire especially Iit makes a very unique sound when someone is capping which allows you to play off the node and pay attention to visables while your ears guard against the stealth cap. You can heal for a million damage for a million and spend the game running to each trouble spot there is and still lose. Sometimes your just going to get bads and there is nothing you can do but call things out give a little direction at the start and play your best sometimes you win it sometimes you work your butt off and lose.
  23. I mentioned before even if all the mainstream PVP guilds left the server would still have a higher population than others and it's true. No one is going to miss good pvpers on an RP server other than the other people who pvp on a regular basis. I wasn't on this weekend but over the course of the prior week In the games I played the pugs were terrible died faster than you could heal them they stood there while pylons/bases were capped had no awareness. Myself and Sabrina played a Hutball where Sabrina intercepted 5-6 throws that were in our end zone, we even burnt down a ball carrier a step from our goal line, we probably had 3-4 fire pit kills between the two of as well and barely won the game 4-5. We went above and beyond normal play to win that and we had to because we were getting no help other than semi moving targets for the other team to score kills on. I know last week we didn't have a high number of people online normally 4 to 7 with 2-3 being lowbie alts. I actually was playing DC Universe Online over the weekend . I think it's going to take a little time for any sort of ranked PVP to really take hold at this point and can see the pvp community on this server kind of turning into the the casual pugs we've been seeing. Pvpers will likely end up moving to the PVP servers or stop playing all together. Cross Server WZ's would have kept a lot of people in our PVP Circle here but the server transfers really had a bigger impact then most thought it would. If they would have added transfers after I still they would have made money off the deal but obviously doing it first would make them more. If they eventually release cross server warzones it would be cool to see some old faces again but would also make it to where you wouldn't get the same pre made game after game. It would really fix a lot of with regular wz's and make ranked more fun as well. MVP who may be one of the best pvp guilds in the game even mentioned they will likely move on to a new game in the near future because of lack of pvp updates. The transfers likely will only hold people over so long so August had better be cross server and not just 4v4 ranked. I don't think 4v4 ranked will solve anything except allow larger guilds to play vs themselves. They need cross server warzones period. Lastly let's be honest the only reason a lot of us are here is the state of mmo's is bad at the moment if anything good came out a lot of people would jump ship from Wow and here. Swtor has a chance to make some big moves and really keep and add to there player base.
