  1. We went down the pot after 1.2 at least with the aoe knockback and 30 yard stun we had a few tools that were usefull but they all got taken away. We never really saw any real buffs in the Makeb expansion and have just kind of been swept under the rug. Dot protection really doesn't do anything for us as I believe op healers are what you will face in most arena's and they can't dispell( I believe) our dots anyways.
  2. I've noticed Force Slow into Whirlwind on a moving target has been working more and more lately as they get snared and feel they need to get away or close the distance also if I've been fighting have my 4 stacks of alacrity the cast isn't to bad.

  4. ^^^^^^^ Agree, also Op//Sc healers have a nice 4 person heal over time that is instant not need to look it at any bars or even cast and it's a blanket spell that they can just keep going when it's duration ends. They also have a single target instant hot that stacks two times to increase it's healing both are instant. We have one instant and it has a cooldown the op healer is not on a cooldown. I'd like to say they alos have more pasisve bonuses as well, overall it's an easy class to play and put up big healing numbers. They also have an instant heal with tactical advantage up and when they get below 30% their instant heal which is equal to dark heal cost nothing and refreshes tactical advantage which allows them to spam an instant heal at no cost. 3 three instant abilities one equal to dark heal one equal to revivification yet isn't restricted to an area and is instant and a hot with no cooldown unlike ours that has a cooldown. See what we're working with? Anyone who has any delusions that a sorc/sage is on par with any class in the game is welcome to come talk to me and I will show you the light. In wow arena's we had what was called queue dodgers win traders etc so leader boards can be cheated don't take some of these guys words at face value from other servers I've watched their streams and they are not good at all and a lot of the teams they face are pug groups queuing. So some of them say they have a 90% win ratio it's because they know when pugs are in the queue and they tank they're exceptional tank/healer double Madness combo in and say look at us were almost 2k and the best on our server. When in reality they beat some half ***** teams and know when there is weaker teams in the queue for them to beat. On our server we don't have that luxury because not many people queue four man games. Our servers Infamous group with Mallo the two pt's and their op healer would run right over that 2 sorc combo all day long. I'd put money on that.

The exceptional tank and healer are what's giving you wins your just along for the ride they could could plug in a few sins, marauders, pt and win and in much less time than two sorcs don't kid yourself that your what's making a team viable. Your post should be l "Look what I can do with a good tank and healer on POT5" at no time did you ever say anything in regards to your tank or healer who are the ones who keep you alive because you don't do anything from your videos but run around and toss out dots. That's why I get the feeling you really think the teams about you winning the games when your sorcs are a poor choice for dps and any other class played well is a better choice that's a fact you can't argue and if you do your fooling yourself. Your tanks/healers ego's should be big because they can say look what were doing we have poo dps and we can keep them alive and win. Carried by (insert tank/healer names here)

Are you talking about that POT5 team that claims they are beating top teams and when you watch their videos no one touches them the entire game and they just run around for the full duration of the game doing what they want? Or is their a legit team on the bastion that is winning? Because any mara/pt team should be able to focus a sorc through guard and heals. If they can't they are doing something wrong. Mind you i can write a few paragraphs on why the comp would not work and i would like to see games where this group won vs hard focus fire on one of the sorcs. Because they would need a guard first and foremost not an average guard but an exceptional one like Fluxs x2. Sorc's any spec has light armor weakest in the game they the least passive damage reduction the only claim to fame for a sorc would be taunt with guard and when they are stunned they take 30% less damage if spec'd. They have 0 AOE reduction and 15% periodic damage reduction if Madness spec'd. This means that the guard will take more damage from guarding the sorc then any other team member except another sorc. They get hit for full on aoe if not stunned and take some of the heaviest hits in the game all while not doing the heaviest damage in the game. Their damage goes down the toliet if they are smothered because they need to channel FL to get wrath procs because Affliction tic'ing for 400 to 800 crits is op as hell. Smother a sorc in a double sorc dps team and you would have 1 sorc actually doing damage which would be healable without guard and healable with guard. Most teams are running a hybrid dps/tank with double dps and an operative healer. Operative healers have a 4 man hot which is a nice counter to dots another negative for the sorc team and can apply a single double stack hot to the entire team while on the run with no worries of interupts. I'd really like to believe that somehow someone has found a pot of gold at the end of the Rainbow but it really is a load of bs and I'd bet money that a certain infamous group would run over that sorc team 9 of 10 times and that's being nice.

Affliction is very weak you can test that on a PVP dummy the only time you will get close to a 1k crit would be if you had good pve gear with power proc up and i would say that still might not be enough. Possible the person had the damage buff and the power relic up. But generally with 1200 ish Bonus damage 75% surge it crits for mid to high 800's lows in the 300-400 range even with Death Field up.
  9. When I see the text of buffs(if they are worth a damn) I will say Soon we shall reveal ourself to the Jedi soon we shall have our Revenge. I don't think a lot of players realize how gimped we have been for a long time but I welcome them to roll one so they can experience it for themselves instead of a Jugg/Mara/PT. Let's see some of you get yourself some light armor with that great passive 2% damage reduction, none of this guard bs with 4 healers and see how fast you are squashed like grape. I almost feel a little sorry for some of these classes when I kite them around and kill them and they have no idea that my bonus damage is about 150 less than theirs that my crit is low and I have the worst passive defense/bonuses of any class. Then I change my mind about feeling sorry for them when they come back with two helpers and zerg me down.
  10. As soft as the class is it needs a large Damage increase to be viable. As I've mentioned before the only reason we post high numbers is because we are trying to kill things for a longer period of time because we have a lot of abilities that hit softy. If we are going to be a Shadow Priest class give us a Sith Form that increases self healing through damage not this 2% for 4 talent points. We need passive crit bonus to dots not a base 3% from the healing tree. Crit is hard to come by and more crit equals less power which means less peak damage. We don't have a happy medium at the moment. So we need more passive crit to make up for that but overall as a whole we need more damage to be on par with other classes. Ability for ability we are doing less across the board than any other class and other classes can do larger amounts in a shorter time and have more passive increases and bonuses than we do. Look at your killing blows in a game then look at the average deception sin , maurader, jugg or sniper/dps op if they have equal skill and or gear were the same fights you were in they will 99.9% have more killing blows than you. This is because they have more spike damage and don't need long amounts of time to score kills. Other classes will also have bigger crits some by over 3-4k than our largest in a game. this also goes back to we are chopping down a tree with a hatchet and they are using a chainsaw. Heal mechanics play nothing into dps as we have no benefits of the healing tree so we take knockback while casting and are easy to interupt. So there is no heal to full there is no make them pay because we have a hatchet they have a chainsaw. The Dev's that posted the responses to the questions posted about sorcs had little to no clue what they were talking about. I would pay them money to have that dev come to my server and get into an arena with 3 other devs and see how many times he heals to full or how many times he makes a group pay. The simple fact is they would run over him like a speed bump and their would be footprints down his back where they walked right over him. That post was an insult to every sorc/sage in the game. if they want to lose a chunk of subscribers they can keep doing what they're are doing.
  11. My spec for PVP Madness pvp is the 6/3/36 I just like the max self healing from dots and max defensive abilities from Electrocute and the 30% reduction while stunned. It seems to be the most durable however still falls short because of a little weaker damage and poor force regen.
  12. There on the Bastion and BC so I doubt they would waste time going there if sorcs are their best group. They just must have an exceptional healer and tank if the're winning with that make-up and their games must last until the gas goes off. In most cases because they're not being focused and they do nothing in the way of damage other then padded dot damage which just means they try for a long time to kill something but their damage gets healed. That's why sorcs have a lot of damage in warzones with so few killing blows while a Maurarder sniper Sin all have 3-4x the killing blows and their biggest hit is about 3-4k higher then a Death Field crit. They have something called burst damage and when that burst damage gets put on a flimsy sorc they become an energy drain because they become useless not being bale to channel or hard cast. They obviously are living in Oz where everything is easy. I thought their server was a PVP server but it sounds like an RP/PVE server if that's one of the top teams. Or it's quite possible the pubs are very weak over there and they are just padding their stats, queue dodging the good teams. Your talking to a 3 time Gladiator I know Arenas and I know this game. The comp they run is bad and about 15 random made up teams could counter that make up with any type of skilled players. Hybrid Powertech dps powertech with dps sin and an op healer is just a random team from BC. They would focus one of those sorcs the tank would take alot of damage and pulse cannons on the sorc would start to kill the tank very fast and the sorc would nneed to bubble. Bubble shows weakness it shows he couldn't handle the pressue nor could the healer and that means that the team he's facing is going to hard swap to the tank who's likely also hurt or the healer as soon as the bubble drops they are back on him and he's dead. Then softie number two he gets focused if the tank wants some more of protecting a light armor class that has a possible 2% damage reduction vs the pressure of three he's not going to be guarding for to long. The sorc is the softest class in the game with the least damage reduction this is a fact. They don't even need to stun the sorc and get into his 30% damage reduction they're just going to burn him early and often. What this also means is your tank with guard is taking more damage then he would guarding any other class. This is a L2P issue .
  13. I would take Froce Horrors and drop Parasitism 9% damage to dots is better than 1% healing through crit dots when you will only likely be using 1 dot. Oppresing Force can be dropped also 5 seconds won't make or brake you. Then you would have what we call Wrafhfull Lightning. Lightning Strikes with Wrath proc can hit for 6- 7k depending on your surge/power Death Field you can use but it's really just for filler and doesn't hit hard without the bonus of 30% crit and it doesn't improve dot damage it's more just for padding stats if you have a clump of people crits will be low at 4k in that spec. I would use the point elsewhere to be honest. Lightning stike will be your heavy hitter though in this build and I would use it early and often. IYou can start with LS FL (wrath proc) Shock LS CL (should have proc'd )FL You need decent crit for the spec to be viable nothing like hitting all that and only getting one crit and only doing 10k damage and seeing it all be healed away with 1 spell. The problem with Lightning is that the damage is energy based so heavy armor reduces it's damage a lot. You'll see once in a while a big hit on a sorc/sage but don't be fooled by those or splash damage done by aoe spells like CL. If a Maura or Jugg is on you with any skill they will shut you down and drop you with something called burst damage. Your biggest hitter CL just about every dps class has a 30% reduction to aoe attacks so the reality is your crit bonus is really only 20% then subtract armor/expertise and your left with limp single target damage. In the instance of a powertech they have 30% damage reduction while stunned so even if you got a crit with CL on one that was stunned you would be at a base -60% so your bonus crit damage would be -10% if he had hit you with ion pulse prior to being stunned you would be at -15% then subtract for armor and expertise. So you see there are some clases you simply don't want to waste your time with AOE on because you would do about 2800 crits even out of stun you'll get a little over 5k. LS is your main weapon the proc CL is ok but if you did any testing on the dummy I bet that just using LS would result in higher dps and overall damage. The dev's have made our damage pretty pathetic because of all the reductions but if you look at the end of a warzone a sorc can have high damage but about 2-4 killing blows with 31 kills look at a deception assasin and you'll see his damage may be done but his biggest crit is much higher and his killing blows is probably 3-4x what a sorcs is. This is because we can't kill anything but we spend a lot of time trying where as a sin gets kills and hits hard hence the target is not alive long enough for them to have bigger damage numbers.
  14. Solo queue I think was a bad idea because any joe is going to queue like it's a regular WZ good or bad gear skill or no skill. All because they just free ranked coms over warzone coms. It's now just the luck of the draw what you get and who you get paired with. I think they should have kept 4 man and 8 man ranked and left any solo queue's for wz but give the option to queue solo or group for non ranked arena and warzones seperate.
  15. I play a 6/3/36 a hybrid spec is just to soft in warzones and little to no control. It's nice if you have a pre made group because you can go crazy with spells but if your focused you will die quickly.

You would get the bonus for CD though and Lightning strike to add to your Wrath procs. also the improved ticks for force lightning. On the plus side you would retain the 30% less damage while stunned however you would lose the 2 second root and have to rely on snare knockback stun. You lose out on the electrocute damage reduction also 3% crit.
  17. Solo queue means nothing and in most cases it doesn't mean your solo (sync queue's, etc). I get what your saying about spreading dots (I've played dot based characters in other games before) but once those are out you want to be focus firing or getting a multiple interupt on a healer but operatives generally don't hard cast a lot and again if your being focused and being interupted your not going to be doing what you want in a game. your damage output will go down the drain and you will be a energy drain on your healer. Clearly in your example video you were not focused and it wasa very bad example of you being viable in Arena's if you were focused and you survived then it is your healer or tank that are doing exceptional jobs. Sorcs are Soft and lack passive defense abilities, they don't put out a lot of pressure on their own for a single healer without guard unless you have a lot of time on them unmolested. (again bad enemy players if they let that happen) The main problem though is lack of any surivivability, a heavy melee ranged dps will have no trouble killing a sorc even through guard as you take more damage than most and that is put into your guard making him take more damage than he would if you were Jugg/Powertech.

What you fail to realize is your the first target of any enemy team who has half a clue what they are doing and saying that your going to dot everyone even two of you is false vs a good team they will smother one until he bubbles smother the other until he bubbles then go back to the first one he dies then return to the 2nd he dies. If you have bad teams focusing on your guarded healer or your your tank with his many defensive cooldowns then they are just that bad teams. There is no I'm going to control this and that because they have you snared and rooted and will even throw the tank at you fo interupts making you worthless besides instant dots. You've been playing two hand touch arenas I think based on your video's. Dps just says excuse me I'm trying to get to your guarded healer would you mind moving to the left a little I wouldn't want you caught in my smash as you have no AOE damage reduction. ........You have bad melee we do not I gues that's the difference,

Actually you took what I said out of context I said I'm on an RP Server not POT5 or the Bastion (Supposed best pvp servers) and I said you would get dropped on my server (RP Server not known for it's PVP). That was the speed at which I measured your play. I don't know if the Dev's game you 5 bucks to make the post but real world you will get dropped in under 5 minutes by any team who half way knows what they are doing. An operative with Guard would likely heal your damage fairly easy and are made to spread hots which is a hard counter for dot dps. Thanks but I know my classes and I know many combos that would be a double sorc dps with no trouble regardless of what you had healing you.
  20. I recall Pyro Powertechs being soft and not doing a lot of Damage after they got nerfed. In my post I didn't even really get into the snipers defenses but they are far better thant a pyro tech and there damage is far better they heal while in cover . Just go to Torhead and look at the Marksmanship tree you'll get the picture.

Yea you don't dot up there whole group because your the first one who gets pulled by the vanguard and while he reduces your damage output by 5% the Shadow opens on you the 3rd hybrid tank is also on you and you've already had to bublle or your died from the double pulsecannon/Shadow Strike crit discharge combo they just put on you. If you did shield and your heals is visable he's the next pull when your shield ends they are back on you if you survived and you have 0% defensive cooldowns to stop what they are going to bring and your team can not keep them off of you and you die likely before you ever got more out then affliction on a few targets. That is exactly how most any avergae teams would drop you here, Stop fooling yourself your on a second rate server and your not very good.
  22. I never heard of you either and your viideos show some bad's in an arena and no rating. So until that changes my point still stands and yours doesn't hold any weight. The Problem with POT5 is you have a lot of solo queue's so it's possible your premade group may win some games and then you post videos of you beating 3 tanks and 1 dps or 2 bad dps and 1 guy who is still a Consular at 55 with a healer. But those are games any bads would see with a queue for regs. That's what that video showed us of your skill level. if that's you. Not only was their little to no focus fire on either side you guys were just running around attacking people randomly and your the two top madness sorcs on the server? Are you the only two Madness sorcs on the server? I saw no focus fire for the two best sorcs on POT5 I could count on 1 hand how many times I saw two Force Lightnings on the same target at the same time in how many minutes? Don't insult us ,
  23. You mean any decent sniper will win because they'll beat any decent powertech. Because the powertech is only good vs stuns and aoe the sniper has higher ranged defense can debuff armor and heals, multiple knockdacks roots not stuns(Powertechs have 30% reduction while stunned not rooted) like leg shot and can be inmmune to cc (see bunker) and can bunker a powertechs damge while getting him low also has an execute which the power tech does not.. They are immune to the powetechs pull .....I mean a good Marksman Sniper will simply and truely eat a Powertechs lunch and not even give them a second thought. So a Decent Sniper will beat a Decent Powertech. Sorry Powertechs are not as OP as some would like to think just because they have a lot aoe reduction and when you stun them and try to burst them down them have high damage reduction so it may seem like they are very hard to kill but it's because people are playing to their strengths. A sniper only plays to their weaknesses. SWTOR has a lot of Rock Paper Scissors so a sniper may run into a class tha tthey don't do well against and the powertech may avoid facing them who knows.

It's because they are giving every class aoe damage reduction look at Vanguards Powertechs 30% aoe reduction 30% reduction while stunned Ion Pulse 5% reduction for 10 seconds not to mention any of their cooldowns . Mauraders are rerolling because they are doing nothing now. Do you guys really play on a pvp server? Because you seem pretty clueless. If they can't beat a certain makeup they will never advance so they need to reroll to play counter groups. It's called bad class Balance kind of like Sorcs get it?
  25. I'm on Bastion and no one is running Sage/Sorcs and winning more than 30%. and those wins are against teams with loosing records in general unless they're other sorc/sage teams.
