  1. I didn't say he was bad I said the class isn't in a good place I mean all you'd have to do is read my post before typed that out. I mean what was that video post for it didn't show anything but bad play the map was in their favor MVP made lots of mistakes bad tactics I mean stand at the bottom passively and get force in balanced and dotted is real great strat man! And they still won .... what does that tell you even with a merc? 3v4..... loss and they are Greatest team in NA? not that one. The reason I don't 4v4 is because there is about 1 team on BC if there were 15 teams and something to play for I'd play . Currently there is nothing to play for and no one in the queue. I played arena in wow as a Paladin healer since Season 2 Played a DK my last two seasons before leaving Highest Rating was 2520 in 3's 2201 in 2's (just for achieve) and 2485 in 5's. If we wanted to myself and shin could grab a tank and an op healer and do the same thing the highlight of the sorc/sage team is knowing when to use lift/ww on a tagret that has already trinket to get pressure. J's team was doing that well and still lost against a team that was playing them very passive and on a map that suited them. Also if you put a Vangaurd Hybrid with two Vanguard DPS and an OP they have 3 pulls 3 aoe stuns plus flash bang 3 aoe taunts 3 single target taunts 4 single target stuns damage reduction 5% single target and aoe lots of aoe snares and big spike aoe damage all of which. 30% aoe stun and stun reduction not to mention their shield which puts internal DR up to about 50-60% immunity to snares and roots...the list goes on. True aoe and single target cc and aoe real burst they can cleave and grip they could grip both sages in no pull. left for them ....and triple pulse cannon on top of aoe stun or even a flash bang because the pulse cannon has 50% and no need to put the sorc in his 30% reduction by stunning them. They have so many weapons and cc and damage reduction it's not even funny. It's a rock paper scissors game and Sorcs are probably bottom 2 as far as talents go. When you see what a real FOTM team can do vs a sage team then come talk to me about experience. Not some passive merc team who wins even though they stubbled through it. The sage team has to be perfect and not make mistakes and the other team made mistakes and was not perfect and they still won on a map that didn't favor there comp So try not be amazed so much and not carry Jb's and DP's jock. If you play a Sage and your who I think you are me and you are not the same player and experience is the last thing you should be commenting on directed at me.
  2. MVP's JV team or their top team? i'd have to see it to believe it. I've never played with a good tank and healer combo in fours that would take a sorc over another class for good reason the class has the weakest Armor defenses in the game if you won it was because you had a great Guard and Healer It's not in a good place you just beat a lesser team with three great players and yourself. Balance/Madness isn't horrible but it's not great either I'm sure had you played Carnage you would have won most likely much easier than with a DPS Sage/Sorc.. All you have to do is look at the talents your greatest talent is 30% reduction while stunned other than that you have a passive 2% damage reduction and light armor so either your getting above average heals and guard or they left you alone. Sorc/sage is the easiest to shut down and pressure as they take more damage than any other class so if your guarding one because they are so soft your guard and healer work that much harder to keep you alive. Simular situations happened in wow where 2800 rated players took classes that had no buisness being in arena and could beat 1800-2k rated teams all day. they would never do that if their 2800 rating depended on ti but they would do it to say look at me I can win with a lesser class with less gear . Cross Server is a need.

San Diego has to many good places for nom nom even real Brit Fish and Chips "The Shakespeare pub and grille" In and Out is open late all fast food options within 15 minutes of just about anywhere. Late Night Taco shops with Carne Asada Fries. I'd say when your super famished from lots of game on nothing gives you food coma like Carne Asada Fries with Salsa a plenty.
  5. I never knew Warrior Class was Hardcore when did that happen? Because obviously you guys have it so hard with all the nerfs and lack of any burst, defensive cooldowns are terrible aren't they? You must have it really rough Deni.....not. your Easy Mode not Hardcore.

Hello the game isn't dead or dying it's actually got a large influx with FTP and while some mentioned that FTP means nothing in some cases FTP actually spend just as much money as subscribers through the Cartel Market . The Market infused the game with some much needed income and continues to do so. While the Updates are not being shelled out every other month things have started to move. PVP is only one aspect of the game, Ranked with 8v8 and Arena with 4v4 (Arena More so) Because the PVP is not Balanced and if your class is on the underbalanced side and your facing teams that are on the top of the food chain there simply isn't much you can do to overcome them and if the same people are in the queue that will end any sort of competetive Arena quickly. Cross Server is needed even if it was West vs West East vs East. The PVP Experience would be better for regular a little better for Arena's not much maybe at first but I would think it would pick more so than it is now. The Reason Wow Arena did well is they had a larger player base they had Arena Specific gear and then high ranked Arena gear. We have no incentives and there is class Imbalance until those are fixed PVP will be regulated to Regular Warzones as the flaws of some classes don't show as much there as in 4v4.

  9. Says the guy who needed 5 restarts and 8 rounds to narrowly beat Neo in a 1v1 Match. Yea looking back on that we were happy you won at the time but really that some stinky cheese. I'll give you the Guardian one.
  10. I'm not sure if I can even say there was a best Smash spec because it's such a simple spec to play. Also the best PT/Vanguard played a simple pyro spec which didn't take a lot of skill most of some of you list people who played a class when it was easy to play not people who stuck with a class and played it through thick and thin and did it well for a long time. One person who comes to mind is Andreus, he got better when others stayed the same and he did it without premades he did it with a class that is soft and requires a high skill level to play well, he didn't have a best in class guard like some of the healers mentioned. This is something to keep in mind when throwing out opinions about a class some of you have never played and have no idea what your talking about. Best Sorc DPS was Althena he played during the Golden Age of Sorcs wrecked everyone even when he came back for a brief time at the expansion he still had skill ,still put up great numbers and blows away any of the people on any of the Sorc/Sage lists in this thread or any other thread healers or otherwise. If he wasn't on your list you obviously don't know the class or what is good or bad. I haven't played with Flux in awhile but I still say he is the Best Guardian because he played the tank class so well for so long and guarding a healer taking the ball in hutballl even PVE tanking is putting a lot of weight on your shoulders because a lot of things depend on that player to hold agro manage defensive cooldowns, cc at the right time, taunts on the right people at the right times keeping close to another player and making sure to do everything in your power to keep them alive at the same time trusting they can keep you up. He's also a very competetive guyand hates to lose. Those three players are the ones I have noticed who stand out more so than anyone else in the time I have played by either being the best for their time, best up to date and most improved.
  11. Lower it's cast time to 1.5 and make it instant proc on Lightning Storm with an 8 second cooldown added to Light Storm instead of 10 seconds. Make knockback AoE and Lightning would at least be in a much better place both for pve and pvp.

Sorcs more so than Mercs were nerfed to the south pole af 1.2 and we have slowly had things taken away since then like our Aoe knockback they made it a frontal knockback and we also had a 30 yard stun that was changed to 15 yards they took instant whirlwind through talents and now it's about 1.4 with talents if you have a little alacrity. The healing tree got some buffs but then they buffed other healers so that the sorc healing is near the bottom now. Mercs were strong in the Pyro tree for awhile but about 6 months ago they were nerfed I think with the expansion now the tracer missle spec is the only viable dps. Sniper out of your three classes is the strongest DPS wise they have a healing armor debuff and can put out a lot of pressure and have some good defensive cooldowns. Sorcs are decent in the Madness tree but require more skill than the average class to play well. If you fighting packs you can whirlwind pull and sic Khem on greens with aoe abilities up to draw agro then aoe them down spot heal him when needed. Gear is important for your companions. and for your sorc.
  13. These threads are always amusing the reason you don't see them is because most are taken down due to flames on peoples choices. First thing to consider is are you talking about best in class now or on the server since it began and who had the best run and made the most impact for their time played as that class? I mean OG doesn't play from what I've seen so we can't say he's best in class now but I would put him on a list of best for when he did play. Merc and Commando there have been a few good ones come and go I'd say Daz has been doing it the longest at a high level Sevrow was one of the best before he left then he heard his old class was getting a buff and he's back . You'll likely see alot of the old ones back with the buff. The best Sorc ever no longer plays Althania, Best Jugg/Guardian I would say have moved or rarely play there was a lot of them but it is a powerfull class DPS wise so how much is skill and how much is gear/talents is up for debate. Flux always gets my vote for being one of the best tanks he had skill. Mara/Sentinel there have been a lot but Wrecks has always been the one who has been a constant and played well the others have come and gone and were good at one thing but not the best at being objective and dps. Shadow/Sin I would say Tyrosine and Consular . I like Defense as a Powertech he still plays but only in a PVE enviornment from what i have seen but was a very good powertech .
  14. Will power boosts crit as well normally augs will add about 1.5% Crit stops becoming workth it after 25%. Back in 1.2 era we would generally have low 30 ish crit but they nerfed our base stats for some reason to make us weaker with the increase in level. If you notice we hit just as hard at 55 as we did at 50 but have more stats. Our base crit and surge dropped 5% in War hero I used to sit around 33% crit and 80% surge.
  15. 36 Point Talents for sorcs are bad except Revivification. Affliction does as much damage as creeping terror minus the root and TB only hits for about 5-6k and it's single target with a long cast time and a cooldown. It should be instant for the cooldown. Death Field is and it hits 5 targets and does more damage TB is a joke.

  17. With the chnages to crit the average is 25% crit and 75% surge. I'm sitting at around 26% crit and 76% surge in nearlly full 67 gear with will/end augments. They also took away passive relics and gave us proc relics so with a crit relic under effect you'll be at or over 30% crit. If 80% surge was attainable you would likely have to aug for it even then it wouldn't be a for sure thing and you would loose quite a bit of power/willpower in the process. Relic is the only thing I would look at for BIS either Matrix Cube or the 67 PVP relics.
  18. Your Surge is low, I would drop two of the power alacrity enhancments and change them to Crit/Surge remove the main stat relic the CD on it is to long. Replace the main stat relic with the crit buff relic. This should get I would also change out a mod or two to get crit mods 25% crit is nice so when the proc hits you'll be a little over 30% base. Hybrid doesn't make use of the Alacrity buff talents which you could easily attain 6% alacrity in talents/procs. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201G00zZ0cZfMfRsbkRfRR.3 This build would give you over 6% Alacrity(with only 1 enhancment for alacrity/power) ywhen ou have 4 stacks of Focal Lightning. Plus give you 3% Crit which you need and allow for more surge. Surge should be at 75% Crit at 25% the rest into power. Use Crushing Darkness on Wrath Proc if it's on cooldown Lightning Strike on Wrath Proc . Death field apply dots force lightning once dots are up rinse repeat.
  19. You got a nerf of not being able to cleanse Madness dots attention but not in a good way.

They already have a proc system in place for lightning (Lightning Storm) what they need to do is take Thundering Blast off the Proc list and add it to the instant ability when proc'd this would give lightning specs a choice to hit Chain Lightning or Thunder Blast as instant.( give it a moderate cooldown of 6-8 seconds) That way they could spam Lightning Strike proc tb LS LS LS proc CL.it would make the class a lot more mobile with quick burst potentional. I would cut down Lightning Effusion making it 1 spell instead of 2 and put in as a tier 1 abilitiy and put it on a cooldown of 8 second so they can't just nuke all day they can nuke in chunks but will run dry if they don't socre a kill over time. With the 30% regen and 1 free cast every 8 seconds it will still keep there Force in a decent range but not bottomless pit like it is now. For Madness give Lightning Burns 20 force instead of 2 return (2 force is a joke) Make Crushing Dakness Internal instead of Kinetic and Madness is done. For heals make Force Surge affect Revivification and Dark Infusion and make the instant free of force if there is three stacks. Also make Force Benind affect Resurgance (if 2 points)by healing the caster for the same amount as the target. Those two changes alone would solve a lot of problems for them. Problems Sovled.

The Sorc Buff if you could call it that is really a nerf in 2.5 as the only ones who could cleanse sorc/sage/sin/shadow dots were sorc/sages so they buffed and nerfed hte class at the same time and passed it off as a buff. So now sorc/sage healing is even weaker. Madness still has force issues( Easy fix make lightning burns give 10 force not 2 force because 2 force out of 600 is so HUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEE not) and Crushing Darkness needs to be changed to internal Damage not kinetic (reduced by armor)
  22. You should ask that guilds don't run pre-made groups for this day and time as well. It would be kind of underhanded for a guild to run their premade ranked team to hussle make shift groups. We know no one would do that would they? If you want to be part of the event put your name in the hat and play the hand you're dealt. Who knows if some made up teams have some success it may spawn more ranked teams.
  23. They need to change it to interenal kintetic does not really go with our normal damage line and the abilitiy suffers vs heavy armor unless they are debuffed with some sort of armor debuff.

Here is my Spec I took it a step further. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201G0MZ0cZfMfRsbkRfMR.3 This is why I brought up self healing because my ticks are close to 700 + Death Field hits. and I'm not fullly 67 item level yet so I could very well hit 700 per tick as it's based on self healing and total health. So it is good to have better the more dots your able to spread. the Spec also helps you recieve more healing from healers helping keep you alive longer. It has a possible +6% bonus alacrity and I can tell you I thought on paper this would help my regen issue. It does help to a degree but only if you can keep 4 stacks up. Nothing compares to Lighting Effusion though if that was a t1 talent in the lightning tree that would solve force issues for all three specs in most cases.
  25. Assasins get it yet we don't. If I could thrash for 5-6k I might use it in certain situations. We only have two melee abilities and Thrash would likely be the only one used
