  1. Nice vid and I like the idea, but I thought the frame/scene/mood switching was a bit too much Also, it makes me wonder why they only nerf Operatives in this game with so many overpowered classes out there lol So much hypocrisy .. bleh Anyway, let them do whatever they want. I am done with it anyway, with only a few days left on the sub.
  2. Sorry, I just had to stop here for a second ... "your mitigation skills"? "Dodge"? I must have missed the mitigation skills of Operatives. Or do you call Shield Probe and Evasion mitigation skills? lol Shield probe can block like 1k-1.5k damage (which is just 1 non-crit ability), and Evasion lasts for 3s and works mostly vs auto attacks.
  3. Devs, any answer to my questions plz? SP: 3 More BM bags with 0 tokens.
  4. Only, our class has none of those, nor does it have any gap closers. Thanks. How exactly do you counter knockback? Please explain. The only thing that can help is positioning, but guess what, the guy with knockback can reposition himself as well by just moving 1 step. I try to use environmental obstacles like sandbags, but I get knocked back over them all the time. Come again in English please. What? We have 15% faster run speed if not in stealth, which reduces movement speed by 15% on its own. An Operative outside of stealth is a punching bag; in stealth they have default movement speed (+15% is cancelled by -15% from Stealth). Also, how would 30% movement speed for 4s after I stun someone (if specced) help me counter or avoid Knockbacks?! Again it all depends on positioning. If you are not dead center on a lamp post, you will fly off the ramp. The other player only needs to move 1 step to the side and you are exposed and flying off the ramp. Sorry mate, no offense but this has nothing to do with my post lol So if something annoys you, you reroll? Is that your sensible answer to everything? Not to look at an issue and fix it, just turn a blind eye and pretend it's not there? While CC and heals can be countered, Knockback cannot. You cannot really compare the two. Again, how can you compare a soft-cc -that some other classes already have- to a knockback in Huttball? Gimme a break please . Right, but everyone has some utility to offer and can do something about it; some can do a counter knockback; some can leap, some can pull or push. As for positioning, read above. As I said in my first post, those who already have those abilities do not understand -or care- and will defend them and tell others to l2p lol. Yeah, the only problem is that my class is the worst class to be a ball carrier, so I try to support or defend and I often get chained knocked-back. It's fun at first, but when you are at the receiving end after 600 thousand Huttball matches , it gets old really fast, especially after the 3rd or 4th chain knockback.
  5. You think I've not tried that already? The guy with knockback only needs to move 1 step to the side and I end up off the ramp. Sorry mate it just doesn't work most of the time.
  6. As an Operative, Huttball is incredibly annoying and sometimes almost impossible to play due to constant Knockbacks. I am sick and tired of it guys. I get on the ramp, BAM I get get knocked back down; I run back up ... BAM ... I get knocked back again; this repeats continuously. We already have positioning requirements to do any decent damage. And I don't care if I get knock back into Acid or Fire once in a while. I can position myself properly for that most of the time; but it's very hard to avoid getting knocked back off the ramp. Just 1 ability totally negates my role. It does not have to kill me outright, but just 1 knockback will remove me from being able to chase the enemy Ball Carrier or to help my team's BC. I mean come on ! I could make a video but it's pointless. Everyone knows how bad it is, but those who do it a lot will just jump up and say it's fine. Well sorry, it is not fine. And those same people will start talking about skill and l2p. What skill is involved in pushing a single button and removing your opponent(s) from play? BW, are there any plans to address this?
  7. I've not talked to or read about a single person that has 25% drop rate of higher. For that % to be true, you need people on both sides of the spectrum.
  8. 1) I often hit bubbled sorcs/sages and it requires a full opener rotation to break it (i.e. AB/HS followed by a Shiv) to get like 200-300 damage in. Operatives do not have 100% crit. PS: DPS Sorc also go for "Backlash 2/2", which totally shuts down my burst on them. 2) The formula for "Static Barrier", according to Torhead comments is: 1162 + 327% of Force Healing Bonus before talents. With "Lightning Barrier 2/2", you get +20% on top of that. The question is, how much "bonus healing" do you have? And how much "bonus healing" would a BM sorc/sage healer have? 3) Shields are the best form of healing. They raise your effective HP and they are instant (require 1 GCD). Also "Static Barrier" can be used every 20s and you can even pre-cast it (30s duration) to use it again if it pops.

    Champion Bags

I think that is what they are intending? Making gear easily accessible to new 50s. It is not fair to those who put a lot of time and effort to get the gear before, but I hate RNG as well. Maybe if all people had similar gear, the QQs will stop.
  10. Truth be told, I still got 9 days on my sub, and I am still hoping that BW would so something to improve PVP in that time. The Champ bag change was a step in the right direction so far! In all honesty, I really want this game to be better and I would gladly resub if they: 1) Communicate with us. BW, just please talk to us and tell us what your intentions are fpr PVP! 2) Fix just a couple of the major core issues, like the BM bags and Illum. I can wait on everything else. Heck, BW you don't even have to fix anything right away, if you just talk to us, tell us you acknowledge those issues and that you are working on them or something! Anything!
  11. The new action bar CD effects are quite annoying, and I can see how they can give people headaches or migraines. I am prone to migraine attacks myself, and the new effects made my eyes burn for a while, but thankfully I did not get any migraines (yet). I see better responsiveness, although it is hard to see when an ability is on CD or not. At least thanks for trying Devs. I just wish you could revisit this and just fix the effects and the color scheme now
  12. Oh ok they can slow ! Never mind the fact that it's a melee slow (remember you are constantly getting knocked down off the ramps in Huttball). But how does that exactly compete with completely eliminating/removing one or more enemies with a knockback? Or pulling an opponent back and denying them a goal? Or pulling your Ball Carrier to score a goal? Or force-speeding over fire pits to score a goal? Or chain leaping/charging to score a goal, etc?
  13. Not all melee have knockbacks! Operatives got "the short end of the stick" in Huttball. Not only do they have no knockbacks at all, but they also got no mobility or gap closers to compensate when they do get knocked back. They do not have any sort of friendly/hostile pulls either. Add to that very limited ranged damage, and as a consequence, they have the least influence on a Huttball match.

    PVP Knockbacks

In general, you should not be able to chain knockback a player, certainly not a whole group of opponents. On a side note, I feel Operatives got "the short end of the stick" in Huttball. Not only do they have no knockbacks at all, but they also got no mobility or gap closers to compensate when they do get knocked back. They do not have any sort of friendly/hostile pulls either. Add to that very limited ranged damage, and as a consequence, they have the least influence on a Huttball match.
  15. Oops ... Can a Moderator plz move this to the PVP Section? Thanks.
  16. ... is a step in the right direction! I know I usually criticize when I feel it's needed, but I also give credit where credit is due. I like the change and for the first time I was able to actually afford buying a Champ piece without having to bribe any leprechaun. From 1.1.2 Patch Notes — 2/7/2012: Champion bags now always contain 15 Centurion Commendations and 7 Champion Commendations, and the chance to obtain a direct trade item token has been reduced. Q 1) What is the % chance of acquiring a direct trade item token from Champ bags? Q 2) Just to be sure, is it a Champ token or a BM token? It is still Champ tokens (Thanks to Bittersteel for the confirmation) From 1.1.2 Patch Notes — 2/7/2012: Battlemaster bags now always contain 15 Champion Commendations. Q 3) BM players have much less use of Champ gear and need a a more reliable system to actually get BM gear instead. Are you working on addressing this in the very near future? It is a champ token (Thanks to Bittersteel for confirmation) Q 4) I assume the chance to get a BM token from a BM bag is still 25%? So far, no one I read about or talked to has manage to get that %. Any comment on this? Q 5) For those players who previously got multiple tokens of the same Champ gear, are there any plans to implement some sort of token conversion system, for example turning 1 or more Champ tokens of any type -into- a BM token or item? Or should I just use my many saved tokens? --------------- EDIT: Here are 2 suggestions for the BM bags: BW how about this. Just implement a BAG counter system for each character, where: > With 25% chance as base, you add +5% chance incremental increase to each bag that a player opens and does not get a BM token. > The additional increase gets reset to 0 (i.e. back to the base of 25%) once a BM token is received. This ensures that the system is not too rewarding. We still have a low chance on the lower spectrum when we only open a few bags. > By the 6th bag, players will have a 50/50 chance. > In the worst case scenario of bad luck streaks, the 16th bag opened will have 100% drop chance. I think this sounds good. Another suggestion is to change the BM bag system to something similar to what you did to the Champ bags: steady BM commendations, in addition to the current chance of getting a direct item BM token as a bonus. What do you think?
  17. @ OP: I've made my own review about this game (check my Sig). For some reason mine got locked . I think we agree on all the points you mentioned btw. Did I play this game a lot? Yes I did. I loved it at first, but the bugs and issues started to accumulate up to a point where I felt I am testing a game in alpha state. Some people think I've got some vendetta with the Devs, but I really do not. What got me disappointed enough to cancel was not the bugs or the core game problems (which had a major impact), but it was the bad Customer Support and the Dev's disregard for the community that forced my hand. If you had a better experience, I am truly happy for you and wish you the best in this game. A good Customer Support and transparent communication from the Dev team are paramount for me in any game. If that gets addressed at least (and hopefully along with some of the other main issues, especially in PVP), I will gladly re-subscribe.

    Scoundrel is OP

Just for the sake of humor, please link me that single 6s second stun, during which he dropped you from 98% HP to dead. I DARE YOU TO LINK IT. NO, I DOUBLE DARE YOU. Are you sure? When I use my Crit/Surge relic, my Power relic goes on a 30s CD. I can only use one at a time.
  19. It used to be decent before Illum fiasco. Now it does not even need a lot of time.
  20. Because Devs don't care about ranks (as evident from Illum kill trading), they are going to make ranks meaningless also in terms of gear. While this is nice for new 50s, those who have spent a lot of time and effort getting ranks (up to rank 60), while getting shafted by bag RNG and so on, will get shafted yet again.
  21. What is your incentive to PVP? Some people need goals or a purpose to reach; some like ranks, others gear, or both. Imagine playing an MMORPG with no levels or gear. Some people will find that boring. What is the incentive to play other than fun through advancement? That's what most MMOs are build around.
