  1. Yeah, but I think those are separate, since you can have one without the other. So basically, there is no crit level that will give you both at the same time, they just can appear together, each in there own probability bracket. If you did have such a combined crit lvl, the % would be so small. I dunno, just a thought
  2. According to my sheet (some stats do not appear on online spreadsheets due to macro limiations), there are various levels of "crit": Blue Boxes = 6.44% Discoveries & Schematics = 15.46% Augments (from certain missions) = 2.84% Of course those are rough figures and change with larger sample sizes. Also, as for Slicing in general post-nerf, it is still profitable but only like 2.5k - 3k in cash per hour or so from the best missions. In my opinion, that is good and dandy at lower levels, but as you hit higher lvls or 50s, those sums start to look like very little or nothing. Of course one could argue that you can go around and gather Slicing nodes, but that time can be invested in doing dailies or killing mobs which will net you the same, if not more.
  3. Hey and thanks: I suspected as much. So I guess those are duplicates. However, the weird thing is I remember having run The Azure Databanks before (100% sure), along with Data Race and Plug the Leak. So, I am not sure what they did. Question is, are you a Republic player? I am on the Empire side, so maybe as mentioned they changed some names depending on factions. If I can confirm this, I will merge the names above into each other. Also, for Slicing in general, it largely depends on luck; you get a box that has a roll chance between 2 numbers. Say the mission cost you 1,000 cr, the box would have a chance of rolling anything between 500 and 1500. Depending on your luck/loss streak, data will defer from person to person, until we can get a large enough sample to average things out. I think before the nerf, the roll chance was higher, something like 800-2,000, much less chance to lose and much higher chance to win more. As an example, I believe that is how they nerfed Slicing. Another funny note, for missions that are constant losses, getting high Affection companions to run them means you lose money faster. In that case, the Affection feature works against us
  4. Hey guys, I thought I would share my Slicing spreadsheet and data with you, after collecting a decent sample size. I went with a re-design similar to "pdxmarcos" for more efficiency (I liked the design and I hope you do not mind ), in case we wanted to compare notes. About my Slicing spreadsheet: I've included a lot of info and data calculation, and color tracking for easier viewing. There are a few missions that I do not have access to (Mission shown in Red font). It seems some of the normal missions do not appear for me anymore. For those I included estimated sample for the time being for the sake of total calculations. Those are: "Identify and Neutralize" "Arranged Accidents" "Aggressive Fundraising (165)" "Incriminating Evidence" "Sabotage and Repair" "Finding our Way" "The Azure Databanks" There are Notes on each header that explain the colors, but Red font generally indicates a loss. The SORT tab has an automatically sorted list of the best missions. I've also included an automatic counter for Blue Boxes (sadly both these custom functions/macros do not work in online docs; also conditional formatting that links to other cells does not show). PS: Due to certain limitations and macros unavailability in online spreadsheets, I can make my spreadsheet available for download if people are interested. Slicing Table v1.0 Enjoy, Rez

  6. When I started playing this game, I did not have any Slicing. I tried to play normally and level up my Crew Skills and soon realized that I was bankrupt - from just learning new skills and trying to level up my Crew Skills. After some research, I discovered that to actually play the game the way I enjoy, I had to drop a skill and take up Slicing to generate money to support myself. I was happy that there was a way for me to make some money and play the game without feeling needy and restrained all the time, like in other games. Then the nerf hits and suddenly my money starts to disappear again. So, I've done my own spreadsheet for my slicing results since the nerf, just to see how bad the nerf was and if some missions are better than others. While the sample size is not huge (about 70 entries so far), I think it does serve as a general indication. It included Blue box crits @ a rate of almost 6%. I also used the time displayed on each mission and did not factor in any reduction from Affection, which would make things a bit faster. The result was as expected: the average credit profit I made was 1,043 per hour, for one companion. For a skill whose main purpose is to make money, 1k per hour is appalling and probably a waste of a skill slot. You can grind some mobs for 5 minutes and make more than that. Yeah, Schematics and Mission Discoveries are a nice bonus, but those are rare-ish and were not the reason I took this Crew Skill. A few of my friends have decided to drop it. I am still waiting for BW to realise how severely they nerfed it and to hopefully reverse the nerf or at least fix the rates to something less laughable.
