  1. Another what if for ya. What if the randomness of the RNG was less random as you gained valor? How about this (keep in mind this is just a crude example of the idea). 1-9 Valor Rank = Roll 1 to 100 chance to get an item, higher the number the higher the chance to get champ gear. 10-19 Valor Rank = Roll 15 to 100 20-29 Valor Rank = Roll 30 to 100 30-39 Valor Rank = Roll 45 to 100 40-49 Valor Rank = Roll 60 to 100 50-59 Valor Rank = Roll 70 to 100 Perhaps if lower Valor = less of a chance but still a chance while higher Valor = more of a chance will at least create the sense of feeling rewarded for your valor rank.

    No arenas? Bye

One of the definitions of Logic: b (1) : a particular mode of reasoning viewed as valid or faulty (2) : relevance, propriety My opinion is that your logic is faulty. Consider what it takes to actually develop a game let alone a MMO and you will realize that your logic means no MMO released in the future will ever be able to equal WoW. I only see one exception when using your logic, WoW ends.
  3. 1.1 now or I unsub! Heh kidding. Really looking forward to 1.1. Can anyone join the Test Server? Lets all go there!
  4. I don't know who is in the minority but I'll say this, since I leveled into the 40's, I see less people (47 now). Maybe it's the higher level worlds design or perhaps it's because a lot of the population playing are sitting between level 10 and 30 taking their sweet time (playing multiple characters). Or maybe there are more 50's then we realize who spend all there time doing warzones/operations/flashpoints or just stopped playing.
  5. Additionally, join a warzone then quit out. If you plan it right, it might take less time than actually traveling back to your ship.
  6. I could be wrong (or maybe I should say probably am), but didn't the Alliance have a larger pop when WoW came out? Mean while the Horde actually had the better players, so eventually the good players on the Alliance side got tired of warzone queues and rerolled horde. Thats just the overal impression I get on the imballance right now. Personally I rolled Imperial because I thought all the noobs would want to be Jedi, which in hindsight was a pretty dumb thought. Should have known the noobs would want to be like Vader and Maul.
  7. Is there a chance that RNG favors those that are considered rested (ie don't play as often)? Seems like most of the issues being brought up here are by those that play a lot and don't like that those that play less are getting pvp champion gear faster. Shot in the dark.
  8. By work the hardest do you mean have the most free time?
  9. Meh to that article. The article fails to acknowledge certain things and the writer doesn't understand other important factors.
  10. If the OP's intent was to make you less ignorant then yes, he wasted an hour of his life because for you ignorance is bliss.
  11. This is an option in my dreams! Of course I should note that I also live in a billion dollar mansion and am married to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in my dreams.
  12. With your logic, no MMORPG will ever release that will be as good as the current version of WoW. You might as well just always play WoW then huh.
  13. Only for the self entitled immediate gratification/satisfaction generation that exists today. Those of us that live in reality acknowledge what the OP wrote as how things are and will always be.
  14. It's too early for servers with not enough 50's. BW should make a separate patch for the brackets and only apply it to servers with enough 50's on each side. Problem solved.
  15. First week of PVP, 20's, 30's second week of PVP, 30's 40's and oh look a 50 third week of PVP, 50 premades with other 50's now, 50's all over the place laziness = not spending 5 to 8 hours a day playing tor I should note that prior to getting to 50, people should research how to prepare for 50. Getting the max merc/wz tokens and pre buying one champ bag. Get started on getting the teir 1/2 gear so you'll have expertise right out the gate at 50.
  16. I'm rich, I'll buy them all and monthly sub to swtor.
  17. I think he actually meant CompAir, a company that designs compressed air systems.
  18. Software != cars It takes time to develop content/features. Why do people think WoW is the 7 year old car? It's not some used car. It’s still a brand new 2012 car, Blizzard just had 7+ years to make it what it is. BW has had less time to develop its new car. So the next logical question is, do new car manufacturers make new cars as good as the top car manufacturers? I don't really know a lot about cars but I've never heard of any new companies coming out with something better than established companies. I would guess that car companies came about between the 1900's and 1960's, and any new company would have to take loses until after years and years of development to match up to the other companies (with exception of the first company). If BW started working on SW:TOR at the same exact instant that Blizzard started working on WoW, then and only then, I would agree that comparing the two games is fair.
  19. You know, someone is bound to be wrong on the internet. To insure it's not me, I'll remain anonymous and repeat my opinion which everyone knows is fact over and over again as loud as I can and admit to nothing. I love being right all the time! The internet is fantastic! /sarcasm
  20. Okay, 42 Jugg Vengeance spec here, looking for what the best dps spec is. I see a lot of bickering here and I can't get an answer other than I should just try it out myself to see who's right (or most correct). Let’s see if I can get a good answer though. Correct me if I'm wrong but here is my overview of the debate. Rage spec doesn't do enough dps because it needs to have a perfect storm of buffs and flawless execution of the Rage spec abilities. vs Rage spec can still do great dps without an unusual amount of buffs but still needs flawless execution of the Rage spec abilities. So which one is right and if you answer, do you actually play with Rage spec and have the experience?
  21. Seriously, I don't see a lot of people pretending the problems don't exist. Unless you're lumping everyone who calls out BS as pretending that all problems don't exist. I see more people with reasonable expectations that know problems will exist and realize that the developers are working on them. They have patience enough to wait for fixes/new content and don't have the instant gratification complex that does seem to be rampant on these forums. One of the problems with some people who provide constructive criticism is that they mix in biased opinions, exaggerations and outright lies.
  22. Excellent write up. When you put it that way it becomes obvious what Bioware's goal was. The story/leveling/RPG/cinimatics are the foundation. Cutting Edge Raiding - Expansion can fix that Combat smoothness - Patches can fix that Accessibility - Expansion and/or patches can fix that Efficiency - Patches can fix that PvP - Expansion and/or patches can fix that Balance - This is hard to tell since its still early, the combat smothness issues could resolve some of this. Playable content - Only expansions will help here but with SW lore it should be easy to come up with great expansions. Size - Again only expansions can help here MMO - probably the one area that won't ever improve for SWToR depending on your personal opinion. All of what SWTOR excells at are things WoW/Rift arn't or simply can't improve on where as most of what is lacking in TOR can be improved. For me that seems promising. Of course it remains to be seen whether BW actually improves the area's that TOR is lacking.
