  1. People will defend SWTOR and BW until it goes to its grave (because it is Star Wars). Just like people defended SWG after NGE... We all saw how that turned out. There are defining points that can quickly change the course of a game. For me, this was it for SWTOR.
  2. Have fun with your limited updates. Some financial supporters are not very happy with the handling of it and are abandoning the CM system. Some of us spent $100s a month. I have nearly 100 million credits in SWTOR now and the issue was/is not "printing mats." The issue is with customer service (or whatever BW pretends like it is). The defenders of BW seem to be the ones that only pay for a sub or minimal amounts in the CM.
  3. This 100%... I was a huuuuuuge purchaser of hypercrates prior to the slot machine crate and during the Bioware "working as intended" and then "making an adjustment to jawa junk." And then kaboom. They did a near 180 on the whole "working as intended" misleading. For this reason, I have taken my RL money out of the cartel system and am preferred. Screw me once shame on you, screw me twice shame on me.
  4. Well the way they handled the whole thing from start (initial advertisements) to finish (overnerf and possibly blaming the community)... I cancelled my account immediately afterward. So hows that for a credit sink? They just took 30m credits and plenty of crafting mats out of the economy. And they did that all while pocketing a fairly nice amount of cash from me over the last several packs. I won't miss the cash. And I'm sure they won't either because the latest pack shows they don't care about making money anymore (all items are recolored and those hairstyles... wth!!!).
  5. It's funny how this topic won't go away no matter how strongly the apologists defend BW. $14.95 a month is chump change, but those of us that have invested $1000s of dollars in this game may feel a little let down by their attitude (arrogance) and silence to the issues.
  6. Thanks for the advice. If I return, I'd most likely resub. That wouldn't affect my net credits, and I wouldn't need escrows, would I?
  7. I have almost 30 million creds and have cancelled my sub. I may or may not come back at a later date. But, what will happen to my creds once I become preferred? Do I need to do anything to protect them or store them before preferred starts?
  8. I think it is absurd to ask for something we will never get (refund). However instead of buying 4 to 5 hypercrates when the next ones are released, I most likely won't buy any.
  9. When is the last time BW nerfed anything correctly? Its always an overcorrection for the better or worse. The problem with this is that it actually involved an item promoted by them that costs real $$$ to get through RNG packs and then was stated as working as intended after people raised concerns. And then it was nerfed into a useless money sink.
  10. You did see the post by Eric about working as intended (outright lie... basically encouraging those to keep buying packs to get slots)? And then the comment about a slight adjustment in rewards. Slight my f***ing a** (another lie).
  11. The problem is this topic has dominated this forum for 2 days without ONE response from BW. In fact, they advertised the slots on instagram to increase pack purchases. many people spent $$$ to buy the packs for the slots. Now BWs silence is ridiculous. They even took the time yesterday to comment on another issue and have left this one alone. For that reason, they really don't have a good case for calling it an exploit or bannable offense until they speak up to tell people not to do it. And... lol at your request.
  12. Ban yourself... that way you can play all by your lonesome. Edit: Make sure you ban the people that spend $100s a month on the cartel market too. That way you can be sure to be all by yourself.
  13. Your definition of playing a game and mine are different. I'm not trolling those who do it. I am just saying I'd rather not. I sold my slots for quick money. That is all I'm saying. If you have countless hours to stand at the same spot in a game and make virtual money then that's great for you.
  14. Play the game... or exit the game and live my life - not stand around clicking 1 box ad nauseam in a game for countless hours in my stronghold. I'll take the quick and easy 16m.
  15. Like I said in another thread. I made 16m late last night selling 2 of my contraband machines. It saved me precious game time from clicking for hours to earn that 16m by playing the market. I'll take my easy millions and let someone else click their lives away.
