  1. Left Wow about 3 years ago, returned to WoW last June, started playing SwTor and cancelled WoW during pre-release. I'm enjoying SwTor right now, but can't say I won't return to WoW or DDO or Runes of Majic, or EQ2 or some other MMO that I feel like switching too at some point.
  2. The OP post nailed it. Everything I was thinking was put into that post. THANK YOU!!!
  3. Fishing - I get Fishing. I like having something else to work on instead of the storyline. I liked the possibility of something dropping that I wasn't expecting. Most importantly, you were interacting with the game environment outside of killing things. Swimming - I get swimming. I was disappointed when I started running out to the middle of the water in Ord Mantel and it came up to my knees. Again, it's about interacting with the game environment. If you have a lake or ocean in an MMO... people are going to try to see what's under the water. It's kind of disappointing when this huge body of water comes up to your ankles or knees. I want the world around me to be more than just background graphics. This game has a huge amount of potential. It's a fun a game. I love it. I choose to play this game over the other MMOs because I really do enjoy playing it. but, I'm surprised that an MMO with the epic name of Star Wars is missing common things you find in most of the F2P MMOs.
  4. I didn't know about this... and I don't have a problem with it. I call it resilience. It's not that players problem thats a workable exploit. Again... why would this be an issue for bioware to handle? It's a jerk player, but again it's part of the game. And if you're playing on a PVP server... it is the game.
  5. On the OP I would say a voting system is needed to keep that much power out of the hands of one person. If somoeone wants another to be kicked... everyone votes on it in the group.
  6. IMO, dugneon finder made WoW boring. Now, you have a bunch of people doing nothing except waiting around for the next dungeon instance. It made lvling to easy and gear to easy to get. I consider the FP or heroics just part of the game... NOT THE GAME. I have a funny feeling the people that continue to complain about this issue really don't have a problem picking up a group for 1 instance of an FP, but they want to do mulitple instances of the same FP the same night.
  7. I've been running this game since early release on a laptop I bought at Walmart on clearance with no problems. Strange
  8. I believe the OP makes a good point. It's not something I will quit the game over, but I can see people leaving because the planets seem sterile. Hell, DDO even had weather and night/day. It just adds to the game play... but I'm not sure the storyline movie cuts would jive with it. It wouldn't be cool if the movie is taking place during the day... but when you cut out it's night. I guess it's up to each player to decide if the little details are make or break issues.
  9. I bought the Deluxe Edition and it was painful to hit the purchase button not knowing what to expect of the game. I'm glad it has worked out. I do enjoy the game and will continue my subscription until it's no longer fun. I'm not sure why people would give up so early on game when you paid $150.00 for it.
  10. Yes. I really do enjoy the game. It's a better experience if you have someone to paly with. As long the devs continue to add material and fix the issues that need to be fixed. I am happy with my investment.
  11. Actually, the movie theatre industry is failing.
  12. I know on the weekends almost all the servers are high or full. Last night all the servers were standard. I don't see a problem with that. The mad rush is over, people are settling in. I'm not a big gamer but I tried a few MMO's and so far I'm very pleased with this game. There can be improvements and I'm sure there will be. I look forward to seeing what direction the game goes in and how it all develops.
  13. I believe it is possible... and maybe likely. But, I also have seen some unnecessary hate posts directed at people just trying to be honest about how they feel... or voicing a concern. Makes me wonder how many enforcers Bioware have monitoring the board. There are some in here that can't seem to take any kind of criticism about the game.
  14. I really enjoy the game... and after reading some posts on here there's a lot I don't know about the game. Makes me eager to get home and explore.
  15. It was during the early access but I got a customization package for Aric. It was a choice of Urban, Jungle and some other amor set. Is that what you are talking about?
  16. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who feels dungeon finder ruined WOW. I would hate to see that happen with this game. I don't have a problem with add-ons... they can complement the game. Fishing? Fishing provides buffs, it provides items, it provides an entertainment option outside of questing, and most importantly... it allowed you to interact with the environment. What makes a game interesting to me, especially an MMO, is what I can do with in the environment around me.
  17. I haven't seen any kids with large breasts... but I did find a strip club on the main planet.. which I thought was funny. Weird thing about it, you can't buy anything to drink. If you're going to have a strip club in the game... sell drinks at the bar.
  18. I started playing yesterday at 6AM and turned off the computer at 10PM. I'm now lvl 12. I'm not rushing through anything, but I'm not spending a lot of time looking around the Worlds either.
