  1. Anything in medical arts? Hell, just in nursing half a million job openings. Oh, and work, workstudy, get a loan, join the army...whatever it takes. If you want to go to college in the US there are a lot of ways to do it and "My parents make too much money" is the biggest BS argument I have ever heard. Sorry to get off the bus about no one knowing what a EULA means even thou they agree to it every time they log in, but the point is childish entitlement and crybabyism that happens every time there's a little change seems to be attributed to the overall selfishness of obnoxious little a-holes that result from poor parenting regarding something that these people have no ownership over. I know that's should be like 4 sentences, but I forgot how a semicolon works because I studied something that lead to a career and not a job.
  2. The end of the 3rd quarter there were 4.7 million unfilled jobs in the US. Most of them are due to lacking of skills. Contrary to popular belief, McDonalds is NOT always hiring, but no one bothers to have a heart-to-heart talk with junior letting them know that a degree in computer science, business, or liberal arts is essentially worthless. There are lots of jobs out there, but most people "study what you like" instead of "study what will get you a job"
  3. Oh, that's right, lazy bastards are too good to work in college, good point.
  4. Um, yeah, kids were not obnoxious little ***** mouthing off to teacher, bosses, parents, etc. with no one consequences before like 60 years ago. Also, something seriously wrong when 1/3 of men 18-24 don't bother to work in the US, or cannot keep jobs because they have zero work ethic, skill, or common sense.
  5. Not so much. When people used to live on farms and have 8 kids on average this unearned sense of entitlement BS didn't happen so much... It basically started in the early late 1940's / early 1950's.
  6. Google "George Carlin child worship" and America today will make a lot more sense.
  7. ROFLMAO!!! I truly believe that 1% of the players feel robbed by losing some advantage and 99% are fine overall with the changes. I also believe that most ppl decrying CU/NGE never even played SWG.
  8. A law degree you have not - obviously. EULA allows for change. EULA clearly states you own nothing. EULA allows game to be shut down without notice. For the record, absolutely no comparison between this and SWG/CU changes, which were perfectly legal and legitimate on SOE's part. Hasn't been live 24 hours for F Sake.
  9. I can guarantee it will be next week, as I missed it in January and will likewise next week, as this will be the only week all summer I cannot play SWTOR....
  10. Is it even possible to make a sentence using those words?
  11. Holy exaggerate much. You obviously have not played any other MMO other then maybe WoW, as nearly every other MMO has more problems with patching then TOR. Having played dozens of MMO's over the years, SWG is by far, hands down the worst at patching I ever saw.
  12. There are over 15 times as many people in North America as there are in Australia / New Zealand. There are not enough subscriptions to warrant servers over there, so Bioware sure as hell isn't going to base maintenance around you. Suck it up and deal with it or move to where people live and quit crying about a whole two hours that you cannot play make-believe.
  13. Twice as many people hated it is based on what exactly? How did the events prevent you from doing anything?
  14. And doing the same 6 Hard Modes over and over each week makes so much sense. A lot of people never got to participate in these events when they came out and it would be nice to see them come back.
  15. You said it yourself "...me and hundreds of others..." They are NOT going to do non-emergency server shutdowns at a time that will affect the vast majority of the player base. Maintenance has and always be done when it interrupts the least number of players, and if you don't like it, you have no grasp of how the economy works.
  16. Um, you got to play it for 6 months that you otherwise wouldn't have been able to. Besides, if $10 is such a huge deal, maybe you shouldn't be playing MMO's...
  17. Maybe if I was advised, there are 127 dps in a queue in front of you, that would be extremely helpful in deciding if I bother to queue or not. This may likely make queues shorter if players see the number of players in front of them and decide not to bother. I know a "average wait time 45 minutes" or what-not is not going to work with a game that doesn't cross servers, so I'm not sure why this hasn't been implemented.
  18. Exaggerate much? 99.99% of the game works just fine, which is amazing knowing that every change has potential unforeseen consequences. There are no mole hills in your life are there, just mountains.
  19. 90% of the time a 4 hour maintenance period last less then 2 hours. Go read a book or something and be happy a major bug didn't go live.
  20. Since it's been a over 9 months and I still cannot discover the Sith Academy or become an Imperial Scholar, what are the plans, if any for scrapping the Codex system and implementing a traditional achievement system ? I spent a few years longer on another game then I otherwise would have, due to trying to be a completionist, and I think there are may other players like this. With only a handful of OPS and Flashpoints and other endgame, I think this would do a lot to keep people playing. If it was up to me, I'd have character level, account level, and guild level achievements. Wishful thinking ?
  21. 1. Cross-Server FP, OPS, PvP 2. Ithorian Character 3. Respawning back in same spot you entered OPS/FP from.
  22. Just got the nerve to try out the end game content in the Looking For Group function, and let me say, wow! I've managed to do 9 Hard Modes, and I got the chance to revisit The Black Talon 6 of those times. I also got to visit The Battle of Ilum 3 times too, it was awesome. Even better, since I had to wait over an hour to get in an instance, BW had the foresight to allow us to blast past half the boss fights, because, darn it, who has time to fight every boss and waste all that time rolling on gear and looting commendations for better gear? Better yet, I even had the gumption to try a few Story Mode Operations, and it was even better! The 1st one I got in after a short 2 hour queue! Well, I really shouldn't say got in, because there was a teensy little issue with the travel to button not appearing, but that's ok, because the group decided that after waiting 30 seconds, they'd be much better without me. The 2nd one was way better. We managed to get in an OPS group that had 3 healers and no tanks! But that's ok, because after someone managed to accidently hit the little "x" in on their computer screen, then the LFG interface kept remending us that we would be better off waiting for them to reload instead of finding a replacement, even if they don't reload until tomorrow. After a seeing the rest of the OPS type myriad of sentence enhancers, they all parted ways and I got the OPS all to myself to solo! Well, thanks guys at BW for showing me all the hard work and foresight that you put into the endgame content !
