  1. Mind Trick ? Who of the 4 people on that server was paying that ?
  2. Um, I pay $14.99 a month for this, and I expect it to center around me, just like a million other players do. If I'm expected to pay, I'm expecting to get fun, THAT CENTERS AROUND ME - so is everyone else. If it's not doing what I want, I won't be playing, and neither will you the way this is going. This event is 5% fun, 30% trying to clicky something that should be instance or have more spawn points, and 65% running around looking for smuggler boxes. I expected them to take the success of the Rakghoul Plague and improve on it - that didn't happen unless my mind will be blown by Another Lead tomorrow. 10 quest, half of which at least have serious design flaws for a limited event. No event specific social gear, just recolored tusken gear - sorry, sand people gear. Weapons usable by 2 classes, recolored pet and lame mount. No world boss for this event ? One Codex entry ? I want to have fun. This event is not fun.
  3. 6000 views and 100 post. Sorry if I hit a nerve, but now that the A Lead and A New Lead are up, it continues to be a joke. A Lead - Wait half an hour to summon droid, get attacked, droid blows up and despawns if you don't immediately repair it, get back in line. A New Lead - Counted 35 players standing around, and I just don't want to be bothered now. One more thing, can I complete Cartel Listening Station yet or is it still Borked ? Sad that this was a known exploit for at least 24 hours without it being hot fixed. Ultimately, this event is supposed to give players something to look forward to and for a game with subscription numbers in a downward trend, BW should be in collective panic mode after reading the feedback - the players should be overall happy with a world event, and there seems to be a huge segment that's less then impressed. Please take this feedback into consideration next time around, as there's a night and day level of enjoyment between this and the Rakghoul Plague for me. And to the apologist, please reply, "If I don't like it quit", because thats what this game needs right now is more people to leave.
  4. So, back to my original post, I'll elaberate, and if I spell stuff wrong, so be it: 1 - Vandrayk's - Run around looking for crates on Nar Shaddaa - Took nearly an hour even after switching to lowest population instance. 2 - Rakata Eating Utensils - Follow bounty hunter, etc. Loved this one. Well done! 3 - Fossilized Krayt Dragon Pearl - Slice 3 terminals, go back, easy! 4 - Preserved Colicoid Egg - Spam right click on box until I eventually got it after about half an hour. Why couldn't this be instanced, or have multiple box locations ? 5 - Collected writings - THIS IS THE SINGLE WORST QUEST DESIGN I HAVE EVER SEEN. Stand around, spamclicking the control panel. On off chance you get control, another player seems to get control also, so took 3 attempts and over an hour to do. Needs to be instanced, PERIOD! 6 - Shard of Harterra - See number 4. Should be multiple turrets or instanced. Questionable Motive or whatever main quest if called. Overall, a nice quest, except for Fallaxen fight. On paper, Fallaxen fight is super easy. However, I have no idea how many times I attempted this, and it took well over an hour due to the mechanics requiring the person that start the fight also having to be the one to take down the shield. If not done correctly, he's impossible to kill, and I'm fairly sure some players were intentionally doing this for griefing jollies. If the capacitors weren't so damn specific, it would have been a piece of cake. I like the spirit of the event, but my issue is with the execution - it's horrible for half the quests. Saying "It's a race, play on off hours, etc..." fails to realize that this is supposed to be fun. A final thought, not all gamers can mash a mouse button 200 times per minute. Imagine doing this if you have a wrist issue... Could be great. It's anything but.
  5. So, all 3 missions (items) on DK require waiting on the off chance that you can activate item fast enough while 20+ other players are doing same. No where near enough smuggler crates on Nar Shaddaa. Fallaxen mechanics are so FUBAR, I don't know where to begin. It completely boggles the mind that this made it to live without someone recognizing the potenial fail inherit in the design. Would it been that hard to instance a lot of this so i didn't have to wait 45 minutes to do several of these, expecially the laser ?
  6. After waiting in a queue for half an hour, then everyone bails without fighting one group for the 3rd time in 5 instances, I'm about done. There needs to be real penalties for bailing on a group and if you leave, you should be back where you were and not have to spend 10-20 minutes getting back to whatever you were doing. Getting to the point where this could be a game breaker for me.
  7. In psychology, Stockholm Syndrome is an apparently paradoxical psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and have positive feelings towards their captors, sometimes to the point of defending them. These feelings are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims, who essentially mistake a lack of abuse from their captors for an act of kindness. In the world of MMORPGs, a SWG apologist and there relationship with SOE....
  8. Not sure where to begin with this one...did you even play SWG? Duel-wield Smuggler? Endless PvP on Tatooine? Sure, there were 100 people in the cantina, but 95% were either buff/bots or AFK hologrinders. The CU came out because 99% of players playing a hodgepodge of 24 combat professions were wearing the same suit of battle armor, jedi included, less shoulders and bracers, due to armor glitches, using the same buff food. CU screwed things up even more, making crafting dedicated to alt accounts, due to the new character levels. NGE was a panic hail mary, due do nearly half the players quitting after CU. There were a few ok elements to this game, but seriously, remove the word "Star" and "Wars" and the player base would have never broke 10,000.
  9. I played from 2 months after launch until 1 week after NGE. I was given a free week a year or so later, and spent maybe 3 hours online before i gave up. I was amazed when i found out player housing and vehicles weren't in the launch, nor was space combat. This game always had the feel of being a live beta test. Did they ever fix rubberbanding?
  10. I play on a PVE server, because i hate PvP. Just because some level 50 misenthrope with nothing better to do then flag himself in popular low level question areas should I have to suffer, just because a companion decides flag me. Companions should not be allowed to flag you for PvP. I know i spelled words wrong, and i don't care....
  11. An NPC that is immune to damage and can be used to do all the work is not an exploit? He thanks you for basically single-handedly saving the day when you don't have to do jack to finish this quest. I believe this quest is not consistant with the rest of the quest path and needs parts changed...
  12. Ok, so, since you are not responding to any of the statements i've made, I'm going to assume you've never played the quest I'm talking about. This is a level 32 quest, and i've seen numberous post about how it's overly difficult, way beyond any quest that's in the storyline around it, unless either you significanly above level 32, you bring friends, or you exploit. I've beat it, but only by relying on a NPC to do all the work. That's not tactics, that's exploiting. The dialog even suggest that the Sith Warrior made all the difference, when clearly it's not the case.
  13. I'm an idiot. The mechanics of this fight are in a completely different realm from all previous and following class quest at least thru chapter 1. The mechanics are such that if you die, you have to start outside the cave, and as this entire quest takes about 10 minutes. The quest if very easy if you do nothing but hide behind boxes thru phase 1, 2 and 3 until you stick your saber in the elite droid at end, but that's broken too if you ask me. The Lieutenant cannot be killed, so you don't have to do anything but sit back. Recommended tweeks: 1st - If you die, you should you should die where you are in the progress like other quest, not be removed and have to start entire event over. 2nd - The number and type of mobs you fight should either be dumbed down, or the level of the quest should be raised to reflect actual difficulty. 3rd - The lieutenant should not be immune to damage, do less damage, etc, so your character actually has to participate in event. I'm not asking that this be insert saber, get xp. I'm just saying that this quest's difficulty/challenge level is completely out of line with other quests in the path. I would expect that fights like the Noman Karr fight at the conclusion of Chapter 1 would be epic and the most difficult fight of the chapter, but it's not - Noman Karr is simple button mashing with little risk or challenge in comparrison. I believe this quest needs to be reworked, as beating it is totally unsatifactory, and hiding behind crates is not very starwarsy.
  14. Brilliantly designed quest. Only way to do a class quest solo seems to be way over level or cheat with terrain. Nice to have to fail 6 times and spend 2 hours searching to find only way to finish this quest is to expoit. Please fix and make it level appropriate...
  15. So, farmers/spammers lay out $50 for a legit copy ? How do you farm / spam a trial account if all the chat is disabled ?
  16. Guys, It seems me real dumb that you cannot send out friends invites until you've paid for 30 days. I don't see this anywere in the the FAQs, and have a disappointed friend that will likely now say, no thanks. If you don't want new players to spread the word, fine, but it's anoying that it took me nearly an hour to figure out why I couldn't do it, even thou I don't see any restrictions anywhere other then buried in the forums. It's not nice seeing that button every time i log in if it doesn't do anything...
