  1. So it is an L2P issue but it is working as intended the way I stated it? If it is intended what exactly is there to learn to play about it? Pre 1.2 I could burst down more or less any healer with relics/adrenals in 1.3 I can't - in effect there is the change people were asking for with Pyros. I'm not complaining about it I'm stating the "nerf" everyone wanted was effectively already done.
  2. More HP's on everyone (augments), less burst (relics/adrenals), more heals and more consistant damage. Of course the two power relics together are about half of using one of the old relics as far as power and no adrenal so the burst kills are going to go down, especially against players with more end (augments) getting healed by healers with more consistent heals (aug/relics). It is not the end of the world, but TTK is going to go up and burst classes like Pyrotechs are going to have a harder time bursting down a healer. Basically the change made it so more healer = win.
  3. I believe you can sell the 3,500 RWZ comms back for 3,500 WZ comms so you could have 5,500 WZ comms worth of BM gear the day you turn 50. It really isn't that bad especially now that the recruit gear is free.

  5. Even with all of the extra power from the relics and augments I have still never hit a rial shot for the same amount I did pre-1.3 with relic/adrenal. Since all we really had was the ability to burst someone down and now we can't really kill a healer it effectivley nerfed pyros.
  6. The same ones that were going for 60k a week ago are going for 150k+ now so I'm going to say you are wrong. In fact I had everything augmented I could before the patch and have never even spent 100k on an level 22 purple augment yet the level 21 augments were 145k last night. The reason people will pay that much is because they want to be the best geared in PvP for the week or so it takes the rest of the people to be able to afford it.
  7. Augments serve two functions. 1) when people run out of stuff to do in a game small changes to gear seem to make them feel ok for a couple of weeks 2) the never ending credit sink that is SWTOR.
  8. The higher your PvP title the more likely I am to attack you first if there isn't a healer or higher priority target around. In all honeslty I don't pay that much attention to titles though, but if I don't see a healer and I see a Warlord they are first on the attack list.

    It is pretty much ALL MMO forums. People can not get their head around PvP being a team sport and they base everything on thier experience with 1v1 matches. Noob - OMG this guy is to powerful and he is killing me - NERF HIM Player - Did you try focusing on him with more than one person since his gear is far above yours? Noob - NERF HIM OMG
  11. Because you should be able to get 8 medals while focusing on winning the match. If they gave you more comms for more medals people would farm medals and it would bring PvP down a lot.

  14. That is the world of a Pyro PT. You burst down the healer with everything you have so your team can have a huge advantage in capping/planting. It isn't like you can't do anything for the next 30 seconds, just your DPS will be reduced for a bit after, if you live.
  15. At first I would have disagreed, but with the server transfers and everyone getting PvP queues left and right everyone is gonig to be in BM+ in the 50 bracket might as well just let people gear up early so they can be on even ground at 50. Let's face facts people, BM is the new recruit gear.

    If you are standing there but gaining defender points will it still put you as afk? I thought you could only be kicked if afk? Also you will do a better job being a lookout by moving around if you did go afk from not moving. 1) you will see more of what is happening 2) you running around there discourages the other team from trying to cap becauause they see you there and running around will sometimes trick them in to thinking there are a couple people guarding. To the people who say guarding is noobish I hope to God I never end up on a team with you guys.
  17. Ok then FFXI players are spoiled. Back in UA/EQ/DAOC years it took YEARS to level, no one had heard of mounts, you ran where you needed to go, you went back to get your body if you died, some games allowed the person who killed you to take your stuff and you even lost XP on death.
  18. It will more or less keep us exactly where we are with less burst. Every class is going to have that increase and everyone is going to have way more HPs so the little bit more damage you do is going to be mitigated by bigger heals and more HPs.

    All I can think of is that you got the bug where you were not getting defender points even though you were defending and didn't move so you ended up going afk in a warzone. I have heard when that happens if you run away from the node and back to it you get defender points again.
  20. It is a "kind of MMORPG" that runs completley differently than any other, and is there specifically for people like the OP to go play that game and leave us to the types of games we like. I would say it is more of a Online Multiplayer PvP game then a MMORPG.
  21. Some classes are based around doing a certain amount of DPS steadily over time, certain classes are based around doing a very large amount of damage in a short time and then having low DPS untill cooldowns are up. This change will have a larger effect on the classes that burst people down and then do mediocre dps while waiting on cooldowns to burst again, like Pyro. Burst isn't measured by damage at the end of the matach, you either had enough burst to kill that healer or you didn't and he is healed back up. Add that to the stats that the healers are going to have and their heals are going to be bigger and they are going to have more HPs so burst is going to take, by far, the biggest hit from this change.
  22. If you don't know which is snow and which is grass you are paying so little attention you are destroying your teams chances. When you start you can either jump off to one side or go mid then turn right or stay mid. It literally takes one glance when you start and you should have the entire field figured out. When you are at that platform you can see the side it is either covered in snow or it isn't . If you are at middle you can run up the ramp at either side and see the entire playfield is covered in snow or it isn't. Maybe it is just me but "the field I am standing in or looking at is completely covered with snow" is about the most obvious possible clue. If you need West and East to figure out where to go and you can't memorize which is which at the beginning of the game, please do your faction a favor and reroll to the other side. In the 100's upon 100's of these matches I have been in 95% of everyone calls snow or grass, so we should change it becaue a few "map elitists" don't like the commonly recognized terms?
  23. The main reason I want it is because a 4 man premade is easy to put together but an 8 man premade that all show up and know their roles is a huge pain in the wazoo. Currently even if you have a superb 4 man premade you still can end up losing bad because of the other half of your team.
  24. IMO the game is going the strongest it has ever gone since maybe launch week.
