  1. The only problem here is that Floegens & Myself have both stated we have ful WH gear and have put the time and effort into getting to that point just the same as you guys! What we are both trying so hard to communicate is that it simply is no fun to beat on lower geared players (and by that we mean ourselves), yes we have ranked wzs, but you can queue normals while waiting for a ranked and pretty much all ranked teams do, this then means the poor recruit players get crushed over and over again and it can be off-putting to new players, THIS IS A GAME AND SHOULD BE FUN FOR EVERYONE and not a chore/job and be open to everyone to jump in and have fun and learn the tactics. This by no means makes the game less for anyone who put in that effort originally, I for one would be one of those people as I'm sure would Floegens. All I can ascertain is that you guys love having the gear advantage and like having that advantage over lesser geared players because you are not doing anything else to sway anyone otherwise.
  2. Quoted for truth of argument placed Good to see more people that can think outside the box.
  3. Your point is fair and i accept that, however has BW not changed the majority of the game since the day of release in an effort to make the game better? MMO's have to tailor and change; even in large cases, in order to compete and make a game more universally popular, that is what keeps a game running is it not? a large pool of paying customers? I for one would be worried if TOR never changed on small or large levels simply because it might upset some players and/or be like other MMO's available to play. Sod it! lets just all play Ultima Online
  4. And thank you for your reply, your right, Wouldn't you feel better knowing you killed/won on a level playing field with no advantage other than your pure skill? even with losing, no one likes it but it is sure a better pill to sallow when you know they simply are greater players than yourself with no other reason to doubt their abilities. For me it would push me harder to become even better.
  5. Dear fellow I am in full WH gear and personally have no problems putting effort into the game to get there, the suggestion is simply IMO a way to make it fairer for the masses and not just us guys already at the top gear level with a natural advantage. I do believe I mentioned that in the OP I guess you thought TL;DR?
  6. If GW2 has their PVP format/structure in the way I described then kudos to them as in the end it makes for a fairer system in which pro players can truly brag they are great. And lets be honest, BW have stated many times that PVP is not their main focus in TOR, thus making the changes I proposed certainly not "for everything about SWTOR to change to something completely different"
  7. Your reply makes no sense to the topic I raised. I'm not talking about changing the abilities of players, just that they all play with the same advantages; baring skill. I really don't think one NBA team would be allowed to play with a hover ball; if one ever existed, because they won last years championship, would they? and that's what your reply would reference towards. I'm saying let individual/team skill be the ONE AND ONLY thing that defines the overall skill of players and not in some way due to being a complete and utter unsocial nerd with no mates that can spend 12 hours every day playing in front of a PC and ************ profusely.
  8. I have never played guild wars, never been on their website and not even ever thought about playing the game. So im afraid your wrong on all levels.
  9. OK here I go and I know I'm going to piss a fair few PVP die-hards off. BW needs to remove all PVP gear levels bare one that can be changed visually; but not the stats, through valor rank unlocks that allow the elitist to show off their awesomeness but not gain any advantage other than their own ability to rock at PVP. This will remove all the whining about starting off PVP's in recruit gear and coming up against a full team of WH geared pwners. It will make PVP more enjoyable for the masses, make it easier to maintain and develop for the Devs and also remove any learning curve attributed to PVP gear, modding and comms. I'll admit I feel sorry for new PVP players coming into the fold only to continuously kill them in 3-4 hits over and over again, it must be one of the most annoying things in the game and potentially put people or PVP thus shortening the pool of players to play against. We all want fairer play-styles if your great or bad at PVP, its a game at the end of the day and we all pay to play to have fun. PVP shouldn't just be for the elites... TL;DR Remove all PVP gear tiers and leave just one so everyone can play on an even footing where pure skill shines through the most above all.
  10. Hi Bioware, Just wanted to start by saying "well done for implementing server forums" sadly though I need to follow that by saying it really does not make the process any better. Currently there is too much filtering required to find what you are looking for. Say I want to find a guild recruiting on the server I play on I would have to still trawl through the hundreds of posts trying to find it; and hope that the original poster was kind enough to add [server name] to the beginning of the post title. If we have a sub forum for each server "sticky" posts can be made to collect all LFM/LFG posts into one easy place, that general chit chat between players on specific servers is easy to find and read. I suggest you create the following forum architecture for the server group forums. Server Group Forums US Servers PVP Servers [sub Forum for each server in that bracket] [*]PVE Servers [sub Forum for each server in that bracket] [*]RP Servers [sub Forum for each server in that bracket] [*]RP-PVP Servers [sub Forum for each server in that bracket] [*]EU Servers PVP Servers [sub Forum for each server in that bracket] [*]PVE Servers [sub Forum for each server in that bracket] [*]RP Servers [sub Forum for each server in that bracket] [*]RP-PVP Servers [sub Forum for each server in that bracket] What these changes would create is an easy to use and manage solution to how players can communicate outside the game but within their server community, it will help promote friendships let the server community learn about the people that populate said server. Please BW if you read this have a discussion on this and help the community help you to make this game the best it can possibly be, the game does not just stop within the game P.s I don't know if the current structure is only used because you cannot go any deeper than 3-4 sub forums?
  11. I like the following facts: More in-depth game variety than any other MMO at launch I truly feel like I am in the star wars universe The amazing BW story arcs That levelling is very enjoyable and not just a means to an end Ability to hang on to cool looking gear (orange) and mod it The world visuals, simply gorgeous! Crafting system utilizing companions That party levelling is not penalised I could go on but you get the point *People QQ'ing about the game is just fear and fear leads to the dark side and that faction is far too over populated so lets not go there
  12. Sold and would pay up to £10 one off payment for such a thing
