  1. Same here. Will wait couple of hours befor trying again, hope it will be fixed by then.
  2. Inspired by similar thread in assassin sub forum. What songs do you think match each class/AC or a specific tree? my proposal for sith sorcerer, especially the lightning tree: PS: just don't take things from other MMOs, like "Rogues do it from behind" by ETC70 from WoW to operative, there is no fun in that. PS2: to mod or whoever, if it's posted in the wrong section please move the thread.
  3. I counter your "Shock" with a them song for the whole SI class.
  4. I know what you are getting at OP but I can't see it coming, most people are like "meh whatever", most npcs don't have such garments (except dancers/slaves but that is within the cannon), and that is probably most of what you are getting. You threaten to leave the game, I get that some people like you will or already have, but from the business point of view you are a minority, on the other hand think of all the adolescent boys who gets all aroused by being able to dress their female companions in a slave girl outfit and flirt with them. As for your RP guild, if it is RP than the problem is with the players not devs, BW only gives people tools but if and how they use them is up to players. As for me, I personally have nothing against it, if someone likes to see naked pixels, let them, I usually go with "cool" looks.
  5. Just as a curiosity, there used to be difference, and some force powers were restricted to be used only with lightsabers but they lifted those, for the better, and now jedi and sith alike can use good'ol solid metal weapons.
  6. Inquiry: Would you like the best assassin companion in your team Master? And the answer should be "yes", HK is by far the best DPS companion in the game, other than that, you should get him for his comments ("Eat hot efficiency") and quite a nice story (convos while raising his affection) and last but not least one of his skills that many tend to forget about "Assassination" - can be used only out of combat, and only when he has 5 stacks of his buff (you get them for killing enemies he also damaged), once you have it you can kill any weak/normal or strong (silver) enemy without a fight, why is it a good talent? well, this can make some of the solo fights much easier, some of the quest bosses are silver but they tend to have large health pool and be kind of annoying and long fights, and last it's just pure fun to see damage numbers like "69 780" flying over enemy. So if you are not getting HK: "You are lowering your combat efficiency Master" PS: It's not really such a horror to get him if you have a good guide.
  7. For the gear, go to oricon and do all the solo quests (and the heroic if you manage to find someone to help), it will net you nice set of armor, do some daily quests and hardmode 50 flashpoints, they shouldn't be to hard at that point, you will get some basic commendations and maybe some better gear (especially implants and earpiece), when you gather enough comms buy a weapon and offhand from basic comms vendor on the fleet (some high lvl planets have them too), than it's off to hardmode flashpoints lvl 55, there you will get some new gear and elite comms that can be traded for better gear. After couple of those you should be ready to start doing some ops on story mode. Also, read up on your class rotations and builds, just to check if you are doing things right, if you have your favorite skill tree, you don't have to change that, no matter what others say, just make sure you know how to play that tree right. Also if you want to be prepared for ops, read up on boss tactics, be the wise one Dulfy - good source of info for strategies.
  8. Granted... just granted, no corruption here... well... ok... if I have to... Granted, unfortunately The Who, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Queen never existed as well. I wish I had a news helicopter.
  9. It's Bio "Family Friendly" Ware and it's master E "Casual Friendly" A we are talking about, not that it's a bad thing. About lifetime sub - yes please!
  10. It's a "Fantasy 2.5.X Patch Notes" so the OP found them in their imagination, they are nice, but some of the points would never come to pass, for example the certification part, there are strict rules for nondiscrimination in a content so no snowball chance on Tatooin that they would bar people from using GF for ops before they compete the ops normally.
  11. Unfortunately I don't think there is such a thing, you'll just have to build your rotation so that you know how often to put your DOTs by experimenting on a training dummy.
  12. So you say that having access to 8 stories and about 70% of the rest of the game for free is not fun? Also people that get rewarded for their time are also often called: people who have jobs. What is the point of rewarding people who play for free? It's like letting a stranger into your house, you let him watch your TV play your games feed him and in the end he feels entitled to get some pocket money form you... it doesn't work that way, you play for free, you have fun, for free, and that is more than enough they should give.
  13. Unfortunately not, the hutt holostatue was given to all who had preordered Rise of the Hutt Cartel, earlier there were Darth Malgus and Master Sateale statues and they were form CM but not anymore. You have to either buy them from CM or wait and hope for them to put some new into the game, maybe with next expansion.
  14. Granted, but you miss the sneaking stealther and get stunlocked forever unable to even logout. I wish I could fly.
  15. Not so long ago Cademinu SM on the Pub side, tank guardian, heal sage, dps sent and gunslinger. Everything was going ok, no wipes quick FP until we got to the last boss, and just as we position ourselves in the boss chamber the sent jumps in on a boss and start smacking the living hell out of him, heal quickly gets on what's going on and starts healing the idiot but tank doesn't take the aggro thinking to punish dumb sent, until he sees that boss is down by 1/3 hp, fortunately the sent is not so dumb in the end and knows what to do, kites the boss away from fire and everything goes ok, no wipe the boss is dead. I was that sent and the jump was an honest misclick, after the last fight I had 30 stacks of centering and didn't want them to go to waste so in the last seconds of the buff I wanted to convert them into focus by zen, unfortunately binding zen to "R" and force jump to "T" tend to end badly. I have no hard feelings for the tank, would have done the same thing in his place and let the dps die, and the healer was awesome, kudos to you man. In the end I apologized to everyone and praised the sage. As you see sometimes even good players (I'm not great but I know my way around) have their derp moments, so if it's a one time thing, no need to jump to conclusions.
  16. Ok so you didn't get the "On the more serius note", I'm not angry at all, and not a kill hog, the first part was a joke, not an ironic rage or whatever, just for fun, you know, to make people laugh. The second part was serious, and I see nothing angry about that as well, just pointing out that those timers are enough punishment as it is and there is no need for anymore of it for those who self-destruct... are we clear now?
  17. I have an adequate punishment for suicide, just make a splatter of blood and oil on the surface they crashed into and a big shiny letters saying "HA HA - <Player Name>" appear on it for a minute or so, no mechanic change just add insult to injury, that should be enough. And on a more serious note, respawn time + 30 sec to get to the nearest point or fight + 10 or more sec to regen at least some engine power, yeah I'd call that punishment enough.
  18. In other words you are a bit overleveled if you are just finishing Voss with lvl 50, stock up on planet comms, and get as much customizable gear as you can, when you hit makeb there is a mod comm vendor, that will gear you up for the planetary comms, I found out that 100 comms is good to gear up a full set of customizable armor + main hand and offhand, otherwise, don't worry, makeb isn't too hard and you quickly get a good gear even from normal quests.
  19. Might be one of the new bomber class they are going to implement.
  20. Story-wise you are better than any of those "Elite Soldiers" even if mechanic wise each one of them could kick your *** tenfold, and that is why they ask you to assault a base single handedly or kill the beasts that are 10 lvl below them but story wise they are "vicious beasts that killed a whole platoon last week". Look at it from other perspective, at first planets (imperial side) most of jedi are golden elite mobs and you have hard time beating them even if they are called padawan or sth along those lines, on later planets you jump into the crowd of 5 jedi and beat them in manner of seconds since they are just a regular trash mobs, now imagine that both the elite ones at the beginning of the story and those trash are the same level of advancement in the rank of jedi, they are very well trained in force and lightsaber fighting but since you got so much better they are just like children compared to you, and yet most of them, story wise, are much better than your elite troops. Story wise you are at the level of Luke, Vader, Yoda, or Marka Ragnos (at the end of the story), so that is why they all ask you to do the impossible, even if they are lvl 55 champions and you are just lvl 53 in shiny greens from makeb.
  21. Yes gunships snipe hard, yes they hide with dampened scanners, and yes they one hit scouts... also take the first scout you get, put dampening to the max and get the crewman with dampening, fly high above the fight, and look for the signs of gunship, they won't look up since all the fight is going near the satelites down below. You see them? Now feel like the falcon, think like the falcon, be the falcon... hit F1 and drop down on that mo fo blasters blazing unloading your rocket pods screaming "RUN LITTLE PIGGY RUN!!". If you didn't get the kill than they are on the run, and you can chase them, this is your game now, not theirs. Just... try not to run head on when they see you... it's just not your style.
  22. From wikipedia: So more pitch = quicker up/down turning, more yaw = quicker left/right turning, that is why we have rolling on a and d keys and not strafing, since most crafts (in game and in real life) have a much grater turning capabilities while "turning up and down" than to the sides. Also if you are interested look up some recordings of fighter planes, you will see that if they want to make a quick turn they roll to the side. Edit: mot sure but measurement "d/s" should stand for degree per second or sth like that (almost sure it's not a normal degrees or degrees at all since a 360 turn would take forever with that speed and we know it doesn't, but that is my best shot)
  23. PvP and melee class, well jedi knight / sith warrior comes to mind, Juggernaut/Guardian is a bit like pally in WoW and Sentinel/Marauder can roughly be compared to warrior fury, but keep in mind there is no direct mirror between WoW and TOR classes, not sure about state of balance now but Mara/Sent used to be a bit OP with their lol-smash build. Sith assasin / jedi shadow is also a melee class but some of the specs there are heavily stealth based, so a bit like the rogue but with the tanking ability. Anywho if you want to jump into the fight and just keep smashing people and have the lightsaber SW feel to it I'd suggest marauder or sentinel (advanced classes of sith warrior and jedi knight respectively). Oh one more, there is a Trooper Venguard and Bounty Hunter Powertech that are both melee based classes but they have a very different feel to them. I omitted the scoundrel/operative classes completely since they are fully stealth based as far as pvp goes (and they are kick *** healers as well)
  24. It would be nice, and as I remember in some storylines you can feel it more than in other, I remember doing last story missions as trooper, and everyone was talking like I was commanding the whole assault force, no it did not change the fact that I had to go there and kick enemy backsides myself but it gave the feel of importance. I agree that in SI story it's a bit on a down side, even in the end, but try playing different classes. Also try playing makeb, you can almost smell the fear of imperials talking to you (well most of them anyway). As for the old planets, remember that every planet is not just a place but a time frame of the story (except for the story instances like on korriban) so if you pass a mission on Dromund Kass, and come do it for fun after some time, your character will be treated relatively to the "status" he/she had when they visited Kass for their class mission. Sometimes it ends in a funny situation like my SI after finishing whole class story, came back and don a fun-run on Black Talon, after that on Kass got the follow up mission to give report from BT to some lord in citadel, and lo and behold the mighty Darth of the Council suddenly gets humble and mutters "Yes my lord" bowing his head to someone he could obliterate with a single lightening.
