  1. Sorry to brake it to you, but they already stated that they have no intention to make earning Cartel Coins by doing game activities, ever.
  2. Not entirely, there is usually one heroic quest on starting planets that any class can take, and don't forget about datacron codex, but excluding that - nope.
  3. 12 ppl and 600k to open it, you will also need a friend, or a second account to invite your toons to the guild
  4. Douches, douches everywhere, thousands of them... unfortunately. On the other hand there are some really nice players that will not only not take what you are fighting to get but will help you and buff you just because we are that nice. Just like in real world, one person will find a wallet, take money and throw it away, other will check if he can use the credit cards too, and the third one will check the information in it and return it to the owner not wanting any reward.
  5. Not really, at the beginning it's somewhat troublesome but as you level up healer you'll be able to pull stunts in pve that no other class can, like soloing some 4 man content on your level and beating a crap out of champions, trust me, been there done that, it does take some practice and usually takes longer than getting a group but it's doable.
  6. PvP - being a pub in a wz you run in the same direction that the pebbles are flying not to their source, excluding that one wz scenario that is supposed only training simulation, in other words this would confuse some ppl and belive me 1-2s to get things straight in pvp is a long time.
  7. They want to make more money, and I understand it, the reskins and new models aren't going to get so much attention in a long run as something with utility advantage, so I expect to see more and more of those type of items in CM, I just hope it will stay in utility zone and not go to P2W zone, that would be totally uncool.
  8. Oh, I honestly apologize than, I misinterpreted your intentions. Still I don't think that is really such a game braking thing, as I stated, rant part excluded, it doesn't make any real difference, it's more of a fluff thing, as long as getting it doesn't confer into your toon getting resistance to knock back in "on foot" combat, I wouldn't worry about it.
  9. Yes you should, if you think about staying for some time, start as soon as you can, you'll get the hang of playing as a team member as you level, learn about you're role in groups (that is especially true for flashpoints and heroic 4s), and most important you'll learn the flashpoints themselves, strategies and whatsoever, if you start this at 50 you'll probably get kicked couple of times by some douches with "L2P NOOB!!!!!!!!" as a goodbye (amount of exclamation marks may vary depending on IQ of the kicker - less IQ more !!), before you find a group of guys who will patiently explain how to do that boss. Oh and you're missing on some nice game story. Oh and don't get discouraged by a-holes, they are present in every MMO. glossary: "L2P NOOB" douche speak to english translation: "Please sir, could you read about the content of this flashpoint and some good guides about your class before grouping for it next time, would you kindly. We acknowledge that you are a new player and not familiar with every game mechanic, but unfortunately we do not have time to teach you about it this time. Have a jolly good time with the game"
  10. Seriously... you are making rant thread that a better speeder protection is making the game unbalanced? Dude... this is only for comfort, you won't get any advantage of it in heroics/operations, PvP or anything that matters. If you really have to rant about something go to some bug thread and write there, you will feel better and not make a "child" out of yourself at the same time
  11. That would be cool, I hope that they will introduce something like WoWs Cavern of Time, at some point, make it as a virtual history lesson for the heroes, and please do not distract me with your logic that if it is only a virtual experience and a lesson than the bosses shouldn't drop any loot, it's a game ppl. Splitting the group would be nice aspect, reminds me of this one fight in Naxx in WoW where you had to split group into to parts of one room that at the start of the fight became sealed off, on the other hand they would need to make those parts easier since most groups have only one tank and one healer, but why not. And no, I didn't feel bad about killing her after she beat the crap out of me and my girlfriend the first time we went on BT.
  12. I think devs stated somewhere that there would be couple of NEW, not reworked, flashpoints and at least one operation. True the video doesn't give much to hang onto yet, but it's a start, hope that there will be some more info soon.
  13. Hello and welcome to SW:ToR! For now don't worry about rotations, most classes don't get to show their skill potential until ~40, and even after that point there are some skills that show up late to the party and are obtainable only just before or even only at lvl 50. Slicing is ok, you just have to pick all the boxes you find while doing your questing, and believe me, if you are playing alone you are still getting a lot more money than if you would be doing it with a friend, or a group of them. Don't buy vendor gear, except those for commendations which you should buy every time you can, oh and don't forget to spend the rest of your comms before moving onto another planet, you won't use them later. As for other crew skills, all the crafting ones come in a trinity with a specific gathering and mission skill, and unfortunately slicing is not a primary gathering skill for any of them, so unless you rally want to craft something, I would advice making your first toon a gatherer, that is giving it only gathering skills (you have slicing already), scavenging will probably be best as a second one, since 3 crafting skills need its mats, for the last one check/ask what mats are selling good on your server, archeology gives color and power crystals as well as artifact fragments witch are needed by 2 crafting skills and bioanalysis gets you mats for biochem that crafts stims, adrenals and medpacs that are often sought after in the endgame. Having those 3 skills you'll have a good way to make some money and you'll be able to supply your future alts with mats when you want to craft. Yeah, most of ppl think of ToR as WoW in space, but it's not, there are many similarities but as many differences. A tip? Take it slow, don't rush to the endgame, as for now the game have much more to offer for those playing it casually and enjoying the story, than to those that want to get to the endgame fast, not so much to do there yet. Play the story, have fun, and read the forums, especially this one, save your money for later in game and visit this thread, there some really good tips in it (I know it's long but at some something-teen page there is a kind of consolidation post). You can access the UI editor by clicking on a "+" sing on the left side of your main quickslot bar and choosing the right option, there you can make many many different things with it. I'm no expert on topic of addons but I guess there are some and it's legal to use it, but there is no direct support of them as far as I know (but I might be greatly mistaken on that subject)
  14. You started the thread with the same purpose that all this section of forum is about... right... aight, mods/devs close the forum and just leave this one topic, he's got it covered. But in all seriousness, if you want to help new players (a noble intention) just give advice in threads that they start.
  15. Some procs can be observed on your toon, they make your lightstick glow and such, but for now I don't think there are any other ways than to set your UI scale to maximum
And this is an english speaking forum, so at lest use google translate.
  17. Thanks a lot... no, I mean it, now instead of one song stuck in my head I have three... that was smooth, you criminal. on topic: smuggler all the way.
  18. umm... nope, I have my toon to do that for me... still I do put up some scent candles, a bowl of chicken/pig blood and a small open Tesla generator, just for the right feeling, you know, the sound and visuals are provided by the game but the smell of ozone and blood is not, and I need a full experience for full immersion and enjoyment. for those who did not understand, it's just a joke ppl
  19. all the LD/DS companion affection gains are summed up and awarded when you finish the whole quest and not right after the convo.
  20. Yes that might be the problem, not sure but most speeder piloting is 5-10 lvl above for f2p, nevertheless you should write a ticket about it. It will probably take some time for them to answer (as I understand they are a bit understaffed at the moment), it's still a good bit of creds so it's worth fighting for.
  21. Not in this one as far as the informations go, but not much has been reveled for now, we have to wait and see.
  22. Since everyone is starting from zero and it will probably be rewarded for all quests done for a faction, it's a way to encourage some long time players to make new toons, as it will be easier to get rep from making normal quests than grinding the dailies, I know that many ppl won't agree with this course of action but I do. As for those that ask for it to be retroactive because legacy was - no it wasn't, we all started from lvl 1 as I remember, yes races were unlocked, but that was based on what 50 toons you had, also the companion, pvp and social legacy traits were based on a statistics that were already present in game from the very beginning, we don't have any reputation stat as right now, and no I don't think they should register and/or take into consideration all the quests for the faction that you did previously, what would be the point? They give you a new feature just so you could have it maxed out from the beginning? where is the fun in that? nuff said
  23. In cartel market window, when you are a subscriber, an exclamation mark shows on the buy button (or somewhere in it's vicinity) on items that you have free access to as a sub and there is a warning about it when you mousover it so there is no cheat tactic used by BW here, just people who don't read careful enough. Still you are able to buy them for the future when you stop your sub for example. Yes combat rezing (picking up a fellow player while still in fight) is a high level ability for all the advanced classes that have the healing tree: sage/sorcerer, scoundrel/operative, commando/mercenary. All of the mentioned classes have their cd on normal out of combat rez set to 0 as soon as they specialize (lvl 10 or so) so you can pick up others as soon as the fight ends, other classes have a 5 min cooldown on out of combat rez and no in combat rez.
  24. Just checked the subscription page in "My SWOTOR" on the site, it says there "180 days XX per month, YYY billed every 180 days" so they do not hide it, maybe you just didn't notice it. As for timecard/sub price for my place the cheapest timecard I can get is directly from the site and it's ~15-20% more expensive than the 180 day sub (monthly that is)
  25. Looking at it from logical point of view, they would be cheating themselves from money if they charged monthly for a long period subscription plan, since there would be nothing to stop you from unsubing mid way and not paying them the rest, so an educated guess would be they charge you full every 180 days or so and the 10.99 is just how much each month costs in this plan so you can compare to other methods of payment.
