Statements that claim Swtor is a WoW clone turn me off.
I couldnt even finish my free trial in Wow and never subscribed and counted the purchase a waste of money.
Ive been in SWTOR since launch and have no subscription breaks.
It is ridiculouse to take a genre and claim cloneing.
If this is a Clone , well Call of Duty ,is a clone of Castle Wolfenstien and DOOM because they use the same first person perspective and have guns.Remove the guns and first person perspective of COD because its In the 1st person shooter genre.....well what genre of game do you then have? Is it a game anymore?

I think I have to say the more I play the better this game gets,so I'll just keep going,even if content remained as it is I still have the whole empire side to play through,thats 5 more adventures.
I have 3 charactors right now,All Republic side, one is around 46 or something,other is a 39, new one is lvl 12.

I love the game so will be keep subscribing. Put I do hope they offer server mergers or transfers soon, because it's not fun on a low pop server

There's enough already in to keep me going for well over three months as is, with my progression speed.
Me too, i pace it so i'm not screaming for dessert because i inhaled dinner,I allow time for fixes, content , patches this way things get fixed as i go,just my philosophy, 1st charactor is basic learning test run while there are bug fixes and improvements made as I go through the game.

It's simple...
The people who love this game, will continue to play this game.
SWTOR isn't 'broken' to some of us, it isn't boring to some of us, and it's lots of fun for many of us.
Sometimes folks kinda forget, that people are also well within their rights, to love this game, for what it is.
It's not a crime to be currently having fun in SWTOR... I know I am.
Very Simple,Some hated GW 1 I loved It, Some Loved WoW i Hated the total crap out of that game the day I logged in.No one is the same.Some would be bored dureing an Earthquake while others might find it exciteing and enjoy the adventure of dodgeing falling Debri, it depends on a persons taste,Some may just be bored because they wake up and they have to spend another day with themselves, so it all depends on the person.

Well I think a perfect strategy would be, give everyone who hit level 50 within the 1st 30 days after launch, unsubbed, and give them a free month to come back and play or not play for free 30 days, they can un-sub after they got their 30 days.
Then give those who footed the bill since launch a baby kangaroo or something.

Also, questing. Oh, my dear lord, if I have to kill another X amount of rats or bunnies or chupacabras without any sort of reason, I will kill myself. I mean really, story does matter. It makes it a little less monotonous and while the bonus quests and many of the main quests occasionally have this, at least you get options and voice overs. It's not as bad is what i am trying to point out.
Lastly, PvP. I love it. That is all.
I was one who was turned off by wow almost immediately in 2004' 05 whenever, i couldnt stand the graphics, guildwars one had far superior graphics, i left gw for a month for wow and god when i got back GW its like i left disney pastel polygon land return to a refreshing crystal clear world.
And i didnt have to go to a band- aid guy to learn to make band-aids out of 75 white pooky bear tails.
Thing about swtor is its fun, wow was a chore, and killing pooky bears with green spinachy carpet looking forrest ground and big polygone trees with a crash bandicoot charactor was boreing.

Doesnt every MMO merge servers after awhile because everyone screams bloody murder so they open more servers to shut everyone up, then later find there are too many servers because everyone screamed bloody murder on launch?

You know, I see a lot of people saying why they don't like this game and how things can be improved, all of which has been said time and time again. And to those of you that don't enjoy playing the game, do what myself and two friends did. We cancelled our sub and I come back to the website every other week to see what's going on. The only reason I can post right now is because of that free month that got added to my account, which I used to log in, check out the legacy system, and logged out and that was it.

Both games will probably co-exist rather than compete, especially since GW2 has no subscription, which by the way means you really can't compare the degree of success between the two games once it's out.
Well If i Recall, Guildwars 1 and Wow Co-existed a very long time.Both released about the same time.
I chose Gw1 over wow though,not because it was sub-free, but it was fun,bought wow left Gw1 for my free 30 day,I hated WoW... went back to Gw.
I wont pay to not have fun.
Swtor is fun for me & i'm a past Gw fan, I'de rather see both games co-exist.
I dont wish failure on either game,I dont see the point, Sci Fi and Fantasy 2 worlds to choose from.
Alot of people like Tor,I think some are stuck on dead servers though and Bioware just needs to remedy that situation.

When Rift came out it was ZOMG it's going to kill X Y and Z MMO. When TOR came out? ZOMG! Kill X Y and Z MMO! When GW2 comes out? ZOMG, going to kill TOR Rift and other MMOs! When the next big thing comes out? ZOMG!!! Going to kill GW2 and Tera! And so on and so on. Blah blah blah, same old crap over and over again. So sick of it...

Dont know about Diablo 3,pretty much looks like I could pull out my 1st Gen XBOX and old Baldurs Gate console version and have a similar experience, just not as fancey. its that cam view they are useing, the kind that tweaks your neck.
To this day GuildWars 1 and the trilogy looks better than WoW does today.
I left GW1 to try Wow in 2004? 2005? vanilla WoW I guess, played it a month and went back to GW.
Preferance I guess, WoW gave me a headache, it was butt ugly and Disney-ish or kiddie-ish.
Went back to GW and felt like a breath of fresh air. and I didnt have to pay for it every month.
GW2 free to play ? that might be competative.

Your server is pretty decent, better than most, but on The Fatman, we get over 200 players on the Republic Fleet for several hours every single day, but even when the mass majority of the East Coast players go to sleep and some of the West Coast players are still awake, the fleet still has over 100. For example, when it's 1:00 AM in California, we still have at least 90 players left on the fleet, and on peak hours we get over 150 players on Coruscant. The only bad thing I would have to say about The Fatman is that there is a server queue every single day, but that doesn't really matter to me at all.
Queue is prefered over LFG for an hour or desolation.
The server I'm on isnt terrible but its not good either.

Trying to commit to a populated server is now a forum help topic, every server and planet should be crowded.
But its not,Mine isnt bad, but come on some planets like quesh had 2 people? that count included myself.
question is when will they do something, last event/promo didnt increase anything except people standing around the jawa vendor and fleet to get infected maybe increased population on tatooine for awhile doing plague quests,and the free 30 days people got will end and those who unsubbed before the offer are just going to do the same once their 30 days are done.
Forget promo crap and keep the mmo an mmo.
I'm not bashing the plague event , it was good,and some people popped in to race to legacy 6 for the free 30 days, it probably spiked population but the dust will settle soon.
People shouldnt be nervouse about commiting to a server,I hope they have a plan.

I definitely prefer solid rewards over random rewards. Aside from that, it was a great event. Very creative, good reward system, and an exciting implementation

I am trying to explain to the ones up in arms against the "promo", why they are wrong.
Because, at its core, it is the player`s fault for not being there, not Bioware`s for running it.
The player also had some 10 days to rectify the issue.
Ultimately, I met the criteria when it was announced, so, sadly, you can`t troll me.

You qualify but to make sure:
In order to receive your thirty (30) days of game time, you must meet the following requirements:•Have an active subscription and have a Level 50 character by April 12, 2012, 12:00PM CDT, 5:00PM GMT or April 22, 2012, 12:00PM CDT, 5:00PM GMT.
•OR have an active subscription with a Legacy Level 6 account by April 22, 2012, 12:00PM CDT, 5:00PM GMT.
Your account must not be banned.
To be an active subscriber:
•You must have purchased the game and redeemed an official Game Product Registration Code at the Code Redemption Center.
•You must have signed up for a recurring subscription using a valid payment method OR redeemed a Game Time Code

And seems to work, what, precisely? I already qualify for the 30 days. I already have my levels AND what I want at this time. I already have future goals and I am achieving them.

Actually I stopped useing my jedi because I dont want him to hit 50 for awhile, and returned to a lower level charactor to avoid level 50.
You fail to understand that the GAME is the deciding factor.. not a post on the Forum.

Thats My point each game has its own worlds, art style,game play and atmosphere that some enjoy more than others but they effect everyone differently they may be in the same genre with similar game play .
I dont like Wow but I sure like Fall Out 3, Dues EX and Alpha protocol they are different even though they are in the same genre.
